Healing the Woman

Matt made his way to where the group had indicated that they tied up the woman. Arriving there, he found the woman still unconscious chained to a tree.

"I've been keeping her in a sleep state until you arrived. You are more fit to handle this situation than the other two." Alpha said.

"Why do you say that?" Matt said.

"You are stronger than they are. They rely on you to help them increase their powers and you have the strength to lead them. That is all the reason that is needed." explained Alpha.

Matt nodded as he felt the mental energy that was concentrated on the woman disappear. Within a minute or two of the energy going away, her eyes popped open and she let out a low growl seeing Matt. She began to struggle to get free which put Matt on alert as he could see the chains beginning to give.

'How strong is this woman to be able to break these chains and will I really be able to stop her if she gets loose? Oh well, I guess I need someone to test my powers on now that they have been upgraded.' Matt thought.

The upgrade to his powers made it so that he could compress the energy that he had allowing it to strengthen his body as make it so that he could contain more energy. From what he could feel, it was like there was a vessel inside him. The vessel currently held his energy in what could be described as a gaseous state. He guessed that his limit of how much energy he could contain had greatly increased. There was also a change to his appearance as his eyes were now ocean blue with a slight glow to them, his hair had streaks of midnight in with the brown now, and tattoos had formed on his hands and arms. The tattoos were the most mysterious part of his transformation as their pattern made them seem as though they served a purpose that he had yet to figure out yet.

At this moment, one chain after another broke until the woman was free. She immediately leapt up, ripping the sail that had been used to clothe her. Finally free, she rushed full speed at Matt and threw a punch. The skin on her arms and legs was covered in scales so any attack that she executed would most likely be sharp or barbed as all the scales pointed to the ends of her hands and feet.

Matt was taking note of her attack speed and their strength. Doing this was a two fold plan. He would gain an understanding of her power and his power. He would also get to explore his powers since she is sturdy enough to be able to handle it.

His assumption turned out to be very far off the mark however, since the moment he started to use his power the woman seemed to come to a stand still. His last growth had only been a slight difference of power while this one had been nothing short of explosive. If he actually used his full power, he would probably destroy her in a single move. Thinking to this point, he still wanted to see how strong she was and just let the fist hit his chest. Although the power was intense, it couldn't even make him budge from his spot.

Now that the fight had come to this point, he was a little disappointed since he was looking forward to testing his full strength. Now that it had come to this point, he would just take her hits while giving a few of his own. He did a few tests to see how tough the scales on her arms and legs were and found that they were as strong as steel.

Now that he understood the power she possessed, it was time to wrap this up. Within a minute or two, he had basically beaten the berserk woman to a pulp. Unable to move, Matt picked her up and carried her to the plane so that he could have some privacy to clean her up and find her some clothes.

With time to finally get a good look at her, he realized that she was actually quite beautiful with the exception that the process of becoming a hybrid had broken her mind. Putting clothes on her, he had no idea how long it would take for her to heal from the injuries that he had given her. Thinking about it, he had an idea on how he could heal her. Putting that thought into motion, he began to channel his energy into her body to make it heal faster.

After his energy began to be absorbed by her, he realized that he could use it to restructure and reshape her body or really any body so that it would be stronger or be able to activate its mutations at the will of the user. It took thirty minutes for him to repair her body while alleviating the mutations that had manifested on her skin making it silky smooth. With everything done, he began making her food since he had felt the disturbance in her consciousness ease up and disappear as he fixed what could be called errors in the mutation process.

As he finished making food and was bringing it into the room, the woman woke up with a start and began looking around in a panic. As he walked in, he put the food on the side table and sat across from her as she backed into the corner the bed was sitting in. She stared at him with a face that said she wanted to escape.

He motioned to the food and said, "Don't worry about anything else, but recovering from the damage that the process of becoming a hybrid did to you. I won't harm you nor will I stop you from running out of the plane."

The woman continued to stare at him and noticed that there were no scales on her hands. Noticing this for the first time, she began to check her body like she was seeing it for the first time. Then she turned her shocked gaze back to him.

"Were you the one that healed me of that awful disease?" the woman asked.

"What I healed was the damage caused when I beat you to a pulp and fixed the errors that occurred when you became a hybrid. That being said, the ability that you gained still remains and won't go away unless you die." Matt said.

"So there in no way to go back once you have become a hybrid. The infection has become a part of you. Removing it would be like ripping out your own heart and expecting to live. Don't despair though, you aren't alone. I mean look at me, my body is still changing the more of my power I use. I decided to take you under my wing the moment I healed you so you don't have to worry about being alone in these changes anymore." Matt continued.

The woman could only stare at him as tears formed in her eyes as she sat on the bed and cried in relief that she wasn't alone anymore. She picked up the food and began to eat as she cried. She knew that she had get her strength back so that she could repay the kindness that the man in front of her had shown her.

Matt just smiled and went to make her more food. Being a hybrid always required more food in order to fully heal. He was just glad that the whole situation had been solved for the moment.
