Everyone in the room paid close attention as Renel was slowly healed. After two minutes of waiting, the glow died down and Renel's eyes gently opened. As he sat up, it was easier for everyone to finally see him. He had a pair of gentle green eyes. He was wearing a pair of black pants with a green long-sleeved tunic. Completely different from the rest of his outfit was a pair of black bunny slippers on his feet.
Renel looked around the room, waves of confusion and gratitude was shown in his eyes.
"H-hello. Um. I-I don't know what you did, but thank you." Renel looked at the three people in front of him while speaking, then suddenly ran and hid behind Gregor's hand. Gregor was still trying to process everything that happened until Renel had run to him in order to hide. Helplessly he let out a soft laugh, tears forming in his eyes.
"Please don't mind him. He's always been shy when it comes to strangers. Thank you so much. It would have taken months in order for him to completely heal. Please. Please accept a gift of gratitude. Not only the book, but I want to give you a few things as well. The book is not enough to show how truly grateful I am."
While speaking, Gregor pulled out another space ring.
"We do not need anything in return. This was to repay you for your kindness."
"Please, please take it. You may feel as though it was something simple, but for me Renel is family. So I must repay you."
Callon suddenly understood, if something were to happen to Reil and Neil, he would probably do the same for someone who had helped him.
Taking the ring from Gregor, he put it onto right hand middle finger.
It was a smooth black color, around 5mm, directly in the middle was a small shining crystal.
"I figured black would suit you well. This is a space ring, there's around 50 square feet. Inside it is your meditation book, 2 soul crystals, and 10 gold. I'm sure you know already, but let me explain once more. 10 gold is worth one soul crystal, and 10 gold is also 100 silver or 1000 copper. It is not a large amount, but please have it. It will help you on your journey. And please, call me Uncle Greg from here forth. If you ever need anything, you know where to find me." Gregor had a gentle smile on his face. Callon was shocked from the price of the gifts, but he felt all he could do was thank him. It would be rude to reject it again when he already explained his reasons.
"Thank you Uncle Greg. They will be useful to me."
With that, Gregor looked out the window and realized it was already past 3. He needed to go to a meeting so he said farewell to Callon.
Once they said their goodbyes, Callon walked to the front desk once more.
"Hello Marj. Do you happen to know where I can get some new clothes? I also need to get weapons please."
Marj had a bright smile on her face as she spoke "My family runs a clothing shop just around the corner. It's called Realm. I suggest going to the second floor to find a weapon, the weapons upstairs are sold to us by dwarves so they will be much better than items made by human blacksmiths."
"Thank you. I'll be going then."
Callon walked around the counter and walked up the white marble steps that was behind the square shaped reception. Once reaching the top, it opened up to a large and open room. Lining the front was a long white counter, every 10 feet was a different worker. Directly in front of the counter were chairs, there was a few people sitting in chairs speaking to the workers. Entering into the room and turning around, Callon saw the back wall was lined with different types of weapons and even magic staffs. Walking to the back wall, he went directly to the dagger section.
"Neil. Would you like to pick out a pair of daggers for me? Be wary of the price please. After getting the 10 gold from Gregor I have 10 gold and 8 silver."
Although it could not be seen on Neil's face, Callon could feel his excitement in his soul.
For the first time, Neil spoke "Big brother, I won't let you down!" Callon could not help laughing out loud. Just as he was about to speak to Neil, there was a shout.
"Who let such a poor boy in here? As if he could afford anything here, look at the rags here's wearing!"
