Callon watched Aden and Enver run away with a gentle smile on his face. Almost suddenly his face returned to being serious. He turned once again to face Gregor and asked, "Is there somewhere we can speak privately? Neil is getting tired of people staring at him and Riel." Callon could feel the irritation of Neil resonating in his soul and felt helpless.
Gregor suddenly jerked back to attention. "Yes, yes. We can go to one of the offices, there we can talk privately. You can also ask me any questions you may have."
"Mm." Callon nodded and proceeded to follow Gregor through a hallway to the right. As he was following Gregor, he looked around. After going through the door, it opened to a large room. There was a dark wooden table shaped into a leaf in the center of the room. Surrounding the table were six armless black upholstered chairs. At the very end of room there was a giant arched window that covered most of the wall. In pots on both ends of the window were plants Callon had never seen before. The plant had purple and pink petals with a white stem. The center was a clear round, almost like a pearl. Callon, Neil, and Reil all thought in unison that it is a beautiful plant.
Gregor looked towards where Callon was staring and remembered Callon does not know much of the cultivating world.
"This is an herbal plant that helps with calming your mind. It is called lilamiran, it means the 'calming purple,' people use it in elixirs. It can also be placed in rooms to make for a better meditating environment. If you are interested in purchasing elixirs, we sell them upstairs. If you are interested in making elixirs, you can inquire more about them at the front desk. Now, let us have a seat. What did you want to discuss with me Callon?"
Callon sat down at a chair directly across from Gregor. Both Neil and Reil left his shoulders and sit on the table directly in front of Callon.
"I wanted to know how to meditate and ways to make myself, Neil and Reil stronger. If we plan on going to the outside world and not hide ourselves, I want to be able to protect them. Please help me."
Gregor's eyes opened wide; he had assumed the boy was going to be the tough type who thought he was better than everyone. Never did he imagine he would be asking him for help.
Gregor touched a ring on his finger, and suddenly a thin book appeared in his hands. Callon had heard of cultivators being able to use items that had a large amount of space, but he had never personally seen one before.
"This is my space ring. There is about 100 square feet of space in this ring. It is not the biggest available, but it would not be considered small either. There are space rings and space pouches, each with differing sizes. Now, this is a cultivation technique. There are different grades when it comes to techniques, weapons, and elixirs. Common – Rare – Perfect. The technique I am giving you is rare. To me it is common, but before I pass this to you, I have a question. Is that alright with you?"
"Mm." Callon agreed, it was not as if he had anything he wanted to go out of his way to hide.
"What are your soul companions' powers? They seem completely opposite, yet I overheard you mention them being twins."
"Reil can use four types of magic. Air, fire, light, and wind. Neil can use shadow magic and wield dual daggers. The reason I could hide my strength was because of Neil using his shadow magic to hide it. If I may ask, where is your soul companion?"
Gregor sat back in his seat in shock, staring at both Neil and Reil. Never had he heard of someone having two soul companions in the first stage. To add on top of that, both of his soul companions can use more than one ability. What was even more shocking is that Reil could use four! Gregor's heart slowly went back to a normal pace as he recalled the question that Callon had asked him.
"My Renel was injured. Some things happened and he's currently recuperating in my soul."
"If it is fine with you, would it be okay for him to come out? I think I may be able to help. It would be the least we could do."
Even though Gregor did not understand what Callon was talking about, he still complied and called Renel out. It was not as if Callon was any threat to him, he has barely even started his cultivation journey.
There was a gentle light and laid on the wooden table appeared Renel. He had brown long hair that was pulled into a loose ponytail to his shoulder blades. His face had gentle features, but it was visibly pale.
'Reil, please use your light magic to heal him. It is the least we can do for all of Gregor's help.'
'Big Brother, this will use some of your soul power. It should use around half, is that okay?'
'It is more than okay. We will always repay kindness with kindness Reil.'
After speaking with Callon, Reil moved to stand beside Renel. Gently she placed a finger on his forehead.
Suddenly a glow surrounded Renel's curled up body, the pain on his face was slowly fading and color was coming back to his face.
