Scarlet Is Crowned

Kingdom of the Plains, OverWorld

Dawn

"C'mon Romeo," Amelia said, telling him to hurry up. He was putting on his finest armor—diamond armor. Sure, it wasn't the strongest armor in existence, but it was all he had.

He put his helmet on. After he did that, he walked over to the door. Amelia was growing impatient. The sooner they left her house, the sooner they could arrive at Scarlet's Crowning Ceremony.

Yes, the people had voted for Scarlet to become their new leader until the King and Queen returned. If they were to ever return that is. Everyone was anxious to see a new leader take the throne. Some were excited, while some were skeptical about Scarlet's lack of action in finding the King and Queen.

Amelia and Romeo walked outside. Just outside of Amelia's house was a long line of people waiting to enter the Castle. Romeo and Amelia were shocked to see this long line. There was chatter amongst everyone.

"Good morning Amelia," Farmer John said as he waved at Amelia and Romeo. "And good morning to you too, Romeo."

Romeo and Amelia walked to the end of the line, where Farmer John was standing. Now standing behind Farmer John, they were now in line.

As the Kingdom gathered outside of the Castle, Scarlet was putting on one of her finest dresses she had. She was growing more anxious as the time ticked on. One minute closer to becoming the Queen.

Scarlet had little doubt in her mind that the people wouldn't choose her to become their Queen. She knew they would from the very moment she stepped foot inside the Kingdom. She would only have to play along a little longer. Once she was crowned, she would reveal her true intentions for this Kingdom.

She was alone in her suite. Victor and two other guardsmen were out in the hallway guarding her suite. Scarlet checked her clothing to make sure it was clean. Of course, it was.

Proceeding over to the door, one guard outside in the hallway opened the door for her. She walked out into the hallway.

She was wearing a red dress with black shoes. Her hair was straight. "After you madam," Victor said as he allowed Scarlet to begin walking down the hallway.

He and another guard were following close behind her, protecting her. Scarlet knew that some people disagreed with her actions. Some people say that she lacks the nobility and might to rule a Kingdom. They were severely underestimating her abilities to rule.

She turned left and proceeded down another hallway towards the Throne Room. There, she would take her rightful place in the Queen's chair. Almost everyone from the Kingdom would be in attendance. No one had no idea she was actually the person behind Daniel and Petra's disappearance. They'll find out soon.

"Looks like they're allowing people to be seated," Victor stated the obvious. Guards were blocking off the hallway that Scarlet was walking down. For her safety of course.

"What will be your first action as Queen, may I ask?" Victor said.

"And execution," Scarlet answered swiftly. The tone of her voice made it sound like she was serious—which she was.

"That's a bit excessive for your first action," Victor mentioned. Scarlet abruptly stopped walking and turned around so fast, Victor gulped.

"Are you questioning my ability to lead a Kingdom?" Scarlet asked. Victor shook his head. He feared Scarlet for many reasons, one being how intimidating she was. She was practically fearless. That was both a good thing and a bad thing too.

"No ma'am," Victor responded. "My sincere apologies."

"Good," Scarlet said.

She turned around and proceeded on to walk down the hallway. As she approached the end of the hallway, some of the people noticed her. They began waving to her. She put on a fake smile and began waving back.

The line was approaching its end. Almost everyone was seated inside the Throne Room. She waited for all guests to be seated. Once the hallway was free of occupants, the guards blocking off the hallway moved out of her way. She walked through the small opening in between the guards. Victor and the other guard followed close behind her.

Two guards standing just outside of the a Throne Room, opened the doors. Scarlet inhaled deeply and exhaled. This was it. The moment she would become Queen.

She walked down the center aisle, which was carpeted with red and yellow carpet. She paced herself as she walked closer and closer to the Queen's Chair.

People watched and waited patiently. Many of them were talking amongst themselves. Scarlet didn't care to listen in on what they were saying. The town's priest was standing next to the chair with Scarlet's golden crown in his hand.

She continued to smile and wave back at the people who waved at her. She got to the end of the aisle. Victor and the other guard stood on each side of the aisle, their hands behind their backs.

Scarlet walked up the stairs and over to the chair. She turned around and slowly took her seat. George, the Priest who will crown Scarlet, glanced at her.

"Are you ready?" George asked.

She looked over at him and slightly nodded her head.

"Alright," George said, "let the crowning ceremony begin."

George faced everyone who was in attendance. Everyone quickly quieted down so that they could listen to the ceremony.

"We are all gathered here today to witness the beginning of a new era. We all know how tough it's been these past couple of days. But I assure you that Scarlet will do anything and everything in her power to correct everything that went wrong. That's a promise," George said in a loud, projected, and echoed voice.

As the ceremony continued on inside the Castle, Carlily was rushing over to Elderon. He was sitting outside in the sun. She approached him in a hurried fashion.

"Elderon!" Carlily said, "I need your help."

Elderon slowly turned his head to look down at Carlily. He lowered his head so that he could hear Carlily better.

"Anything for a friend," Elderon said, "how may I help?"

"HeroBrine never returned home after being escorted to the Castle yesterday," Carlily mentioned, "I have reason to believe that Scarlet did something to him. Something bad."

"How am I supposed to assist you?" Elderon asked.

"I want you to find him and bring him home. I'm worried about him," Carlily said.

"That shouldn't be a problem," Elderon said, "consider it done."

"Hey!" A guard shouted, also getting a hold of the attention of other guardsmen. Carlily turned around and saw four guardsmen running towards her. She looked back up at Elderon.

"Go! Go now!" Carlily said frantically, telling Elderon to leave quickly before he can be restrained by the guards.

Carlily grabbed her iron sword out of her inventory. The guards were closing in on her quickly. Elderon spread his wings and took off quickly.

"Bring it on!" Carlily shouted, "I can take all of you!"

She stood her ground until the guards were close enough. Carlily believed HeroBrine's accusations now. He was right about Scarlet this entire time. She held her iron sword out in front of her.

Once the guards were about three blocks away from her, she ran towards them. Her sword was by her side. Once she was in the hitting range of the guards, she swung her sword. The metal sword clinked as it hit the metal armor the guards had on.

She jumped into the air and on her way back down she swung her sword once more, hitting one man on the head. That guard fell over onto the ground. He was unconscious.

Carlily turned around to face the other three guards. They sprinted towards her, preparing to swing their swords at her. She charged at them. At the same time Carlily swung her sword, the other guard did. Their two swords clashed, causing a loud echoey clinking sound.

She held the guards sword back so that his sword wouldn't hit her. She managed to kick the guard in the stomach, pushing him onto the ground. He dropped his sword.

Carlily quickly picked up his Netherite sword. She now had two swords to fight with. The last two guards ran towards her. She put one sword back into her inventory and grabbed out her powerful trident.

Without hesitation, she threw the blue trident at one guard. It hit him right in the chest, piercing his armor. That guard fell over onto the ground with the trident still lodged in his chest.

"You're going to answer for your crimes today, Carlily!" The final guard stated. Carlily faintly smiled.

"We'll see about that!" She said as she ran towards the guard and got down onto her knees and slid towards him. She swung her iron sword at his legs, hitting him. She got back up onto her feet and twirled around in a full circle. Her sword was straight out in front of her.

The guards' reflexes were a bit slow. He had barely missed her sword. If he didn't, he would be a goner for sure. Carlily faced him once more.

Because she was so engaged in fighting the guards, she didn't notice that reinforcements were coming in hot.

"The Queen will definitely want to punish you for what you did. There's no doubt she will go easy on you!" The guard said, stalling Carlily.

"I'm doing what I believe is for the good of the Kingdom!" Carlily responded.

"Oh really?" The guard questioned, "so injuring your only form of protection against the threats outside these walls is considered good?"

"In my mind, yes!" Carlily said as she was suddenly shot with an arrow. The arrow hit her in her back. Gray bubbles began floating up into the air. Carlily suddenly became really dizzy and drowsy. Not a second later, she fell asleep.

When Carlily awoke, she was in a faintly lit room. It was cold, and dark. She was lying on mossy, wet cobblestone. She looked all around her. After examining her surroundings, she realized where she was—locked up in the dungeon below the Castle.

There were iron bars at the front of her cell, with a locked iron door. The only way the door could be opened was from on the outside of the cell with a lever. In the upper, right corner of the cell was a single, dim redstone torch.

She stood up on her feet and checked her inventory to see if any of her belongings were still there. Unfortunately, nothing was there. Her inventory was empty. The guards must've taken everything when they captured her.

"Oh sea pickles," she said to herself, "what kind of situation have I gotten myself into?"

As she continued to piece together the events leading up to her capture, Scarlet's Crowning Ceremony was almost complete.

George was finishing up his speech. He was wearing his normal black clothing, and white gloves. Didn't want to get the crown dirty, right?

"Not only will this be the start of a new chapter for our young Kingdom, but a start to a better future head," George said as he turned around to look at Scarlet. He smiled. "Scarlet. Please rise."

She got up from her seat. She put her hands behind her back. Scarlet stood up straight; full of confidence. George walked over to her. He raised his arms into the air. Scarlet leaned forward slightly.

Everyone who was watching, stood up. George lowered his arms, gently setting the crown onto Scarlet's head. Once he let go of the crown, applause from everyone began. Some were cheering and chanting All Hail Queen Scarlet aloud.

The clapping and cheering suddenly ceased as the doors to the Throne room opened. A guard walked in, carrying a Netherite helmet in his hand. He was speechless and at a loss for words.

"Apologies, my Queen," the guard said as he bowed down before Scarlet. All of the attention suddenly focused on him. Everyone was silent, "but I fear I've come with bad news."

"Tell me," Scarlet responded, "what happened?"

"We caught Carlily releasing the beast. When we engaged and closed in on her, she didn't surrender easily," the guard explained, "she put up a fight and killed two of my guards."

"And where is she now?" Scarlet asked.

The guard made eye contact with her. "In the dungeon."

Scarlet walked down the stairs and down the center aisle. No one was clapping or cheering. They were just confused as to what had happened.

"Take me to her," Scarlet said.

"Of course, your majesty," the guard said as he turned around. Scarlet followed behind him. Victor and the other guard began following behind Scarlet. They all departed the Ceremony in a hurried fashion.

Scarlet was walking next to the guard. "What's your name?"

"My name is Lawrence," he answered.

Lawrence, before becoming a member of the Kingdom's Guard, was just a blacksmith. He used to live in SkyWorld, that is, until he ventured down to the ground.

He had brown hair and green eyes. Because he was on duty, he was wearing his Netherite armor. Protected from head-to-toe with the heavy duty armor.

Lawrence was a very loyal, compassionate gentleman. For example, when someone was in need of assistance or help, he would be there to do anything. From small projects like building fences, to crafting tools and weapons. Even the slightest type of assistance goes a long way.

"Lawrence," Scarlet said, "tell me about the incident."

"Your majesty," Lawrence said, "with all due respect, I don't remember everything. Just bits and pieces."

"Are you confident with that answer?" Scarlet asked.

Lawrence nodded. "Yes, in fact, I am," he answered honestly. Scarlet frowned, sensing Lawrence wasn't telling the entire truth.

"Hmm, interesting," Scarlet said.

Something was off. Silently studying Lawrence's posture, tone of his voice, and facial expression, she was beginning to grow suspicious of him.

Lying doesn't get you anywhere, or out of trouble for that fact. It just makes things worse. Scarlet wanted to say something to him. But if she did, he would find out she was investigating him, studying every move he made.

At the end of the hallway was a single iron door. On the cobblestone wall next to it was a lever. Lawrence, Scarlet, Victor and the other guard all stopped walking.

"Well?" Scarlet said, "open it. Don't wait all day."

Lawrence grabbed a hold of the lever and pulled it down. The iron door opened. Lawrence then stepped aside to allow Scarlet to enter first.

"After you, your majesty," he said.

Scarlet nodded her head ever so slightly at him as she walked through the opening and began her long descent down to the dungeon. Lawrence Ender right behind her, followed by Victor. The other guard stopped walking.

"Stay here," Victor ordered, "guard the entrance. No one enters. Is that clear Emmett?"

"Yes sir," Emmett responded.

"Good," Victor said, "if, for some reason, we don't return back here soon, you'll know where we're at."

Victor turned around and entered the stairwell. Trying to catch up to the others, he began running down the stairs as fast as he could. The stairwell was very dark, making seeing things almost impossible. Luckily though, Victor had a torch handy.

He reached into his inventory and grabbed the torch out. Immediately, he could see again. Thanks to the light eliminating from the torch.

At the end of the stairwell, there were two iron doors. Two guards stood next to the doors. On the walls next to them, were levers to open the doors.

Once they saw Scarlet emerge from the darkness, they bowed down before her. They noticed that she was wearing a golden crown. That meant only one thing—she was now the Queen.

"You can stop now," she said, "and let us pass."

"Right away, your Majesty," both guards said in unison. They both reached for the levers. Pulling them down then opened the two iron doors.

Scarlet began walking into the actual dungeon, where there were many cells. Some of the cells were vacant, while some others were occupied. "Where is Carlily? Show me," Scarlet ordered one patrol guard to do.

"Of course," he said, "this way."

Both Scarlet and the patrol guard were walking over to Carlily's cell. The floor was made entirely of glass. Under the glass was fresh, extremely hot lava. Wouldn't want to break any glass and fall in. Sure, the floor being made of glass and lava worried Scarlet.

She was mainly scared due to the fact that if she fell into it, she would die. Then all of her hard work would be for nothing.

Once she arrived at the cell Carlily was being held in, Scarlet gazed into the cell. Scarlet saw Carlily sitting in the corner of the cell.

"I see you've made yourself at home," Scarlet mentioned.

"Why does that concern you?" Carlily said, "you're not the one being stuck inside this cell."

"You're right," Scarlet said, "I'm not. You are. Anyways, I've come here to talk to you about your act of treason and punishment."

"Let's hear them," Carlily said, "throw them at me."
