The Piglin’s Attack

NetherWorld

The Warped Forest

After finding their way out of the Crimson Forest, Daniel, Elena, and EnderBrine were carefully trekking through the Warped Forest. There were warped trees everywhere. Their bark was almost a teal color. The wood had pulsing veins on it. They were glowing.

As they were walking through the forest, emerging from the foggy horizon, was a fortress. Endermen could be heard teleporting, and striders were seen roaming the forest. Piglin's were also spotted either hiding behind trees, or sitting on the back of their Striders.

"EnderBrine," Daniel said, "why are these Piglin's watching us? It's like they won't look away."

"Well for starters, I killed their King," EnderBrine mentioned.

"You what?!" Daniel shouted loudly at EnderBrine. He was shocked. Maybe that was the reason the Piglin's couldn't take their eyes off any of them. They hated EnderBrine and probably wanted him dead in return to killing their King. Now that Daniel and Elena were here too, walking back to the fortress with EnderBrine, the Piglin's hated them as well.

Daniel continued to spot more and more Piglin's as they got closer to the fortress. Daniel looked over his left shoulder and behind him. There were another six or seven Piglin's behind them. EnderBrine knew the Piglin's better than Daniel and Elena did.

EnderBrine stopped walking and turned around. He looked at Daniel and Elena, while also giving their surroundings a good through examination.

"When I say run," EnderBrine whispered, "I mean it! Got it?"

"What's going on?" Elena asked.

"I'll tell you when we're safely inside the fortress," EnderBrine answered. He turned around and started walking like everything was fine. Daniel and Elena followed him.

As they got closer to the fortress, more and more Piglin's appeared. They were following the three of them cautiously.

"Run!" EnderBrine said as he began running towards the fortress. Daniel and Elena began running with him. The Piglin's were no longer cautious. They charged after the three of them.

"The entrance is right up here!" EnderBrine shouted.

They were now just a few blocks away. Almost there, almost safe. Three Piglin's came running out from the trees and tried hitting Daniel and Elena. They failed in doing so. Although, they didn't give up just yet.

EnderBrine ran up to the iron door and opened it. Daniel and Elena ran into the fortress. EnderBrine entered right after them, slamming the iron door shut behind him. Just outside of the door, stood two angered Piglin's with their shiny, golden swords.

"Why did you kill their King?" Daniel asked.

"I may have pushed him off a cliff into the sea of lava," EnderBrine answered, "give or take a few details. The Piglin's and I have been at war ever since."

"I see banishment has treated you well, hasn't it?" Elena asked, asking EnderBrine a rhetorical question.

"It has—," EnderBrine began to say as he realized what Elena did. "Ahh, I see what you did there. You didn't need an answer did you?"

Elena shook her head. "No. It's good to know you're not as smart as I once thought you were."

"Anyways," Daniel said, "we don't have much time. We need to get back to the OverWorld."

"Yes, yes. Of course you do," EnderBrine said, "follow me. I'll show you where the supplies are."

They began walking down, a long narrow hallway. Where glass windows were supposed to be on the wall, there were nether brick fences. As they were walking, the Piglin's outside were following them, staring inside. They wanted to get inside, but didn't know how to.

"Why are you being so nice, EnderBrine?" Daniel asked, "after everything I did to you."

"Like I mentioned before, banishment has taught me well," he said, "and no one, like yourself, belongs in the Nether. I deserved my punishment."

Elena glanced over at Daniel, giving him a confused and curious look. For some reason, she didn't believe a word EnderBrine was saying. There's just no possible way that banishment has "taught" a villain like him a lesson. There was still a big risk of him continuing to do bad things. Elena warned Daniel not to listen to anything he said.

"The supplies are right up here," EnderBrine said as he walked up to another iron door. The door was closed. Although there was a lever on the wall. EnderBrine pulled the lever down, instantly opening the iron door. He walked inside to the room. Daniel and Elena hesitantly followed behind him.

Once they stepped foot in the room, they saw what was inside. There were lots of wooden chests. Next to the chests were item frames. They were displaying blocks, swords, food, and more.

"Hurry," EnderBrine said, "that door won't keep the Piglin's out for long."

Daniel and Elena gazed around the room. There was so much stuff in there. They didn't even know where to start. EnderBrine was standing near the door, keeping a lookout for those pesky Piglin's.

In the near distance, down the hallway quite a bit, constant banging could be heard. It was the Piglin's outside. They were breaking down the door so that they could finally get inside.

"Uh guys," EnderBrine said, "might want to hurry! The door is going to break any second now."

Daniel was digging through a chest that had tools. Swords, axes, shovels, and even a bow and arrow. He grabbed the bow and arrow and put it in his inventory.

"This'll come in handy," Daniel said to himself and got back up onto his feet. He closed the chest. Elena was still digging through a chest, picking out items that the Witch required. Glowstone and NetherWart were two of the most common things in the NetherWorld.

"C'mon Elena," Daniel said in a nervous tone, "they're about to break into the fortress. We need to leave now!"

Elena closed the wooden chest behind her. She put the ingredients for the Witch into her inventory. After she had done that, she grabbed her diamond sword out. And just in the nick of time too because the Piglin's finally broke down the door. They came flooding into the hallway.

Immediately doing so, they turned their heads to their right to look at EnderBrine, Daniel, and Elena. They began running down the hallway, with their golden swords in their hand. Daniel, Elena, and EnderBrine all stood in the doorway.

"Run!" EnderBrine said as he began running as fast as he could down a hallway to his right. Daniel and Elena started running too.

"Where are we going?" Elena asked EnderBrine. But he didn't hear her question. He was too sidetracked from running.

"A place where we'll be safe," EnderBrine said as an Enderman appeared a couple of blocks in front of him. He abruptly stopped running and slowly raised his head to look at the Enderman.

The Enderman was holding a Netherbrick block in his hands. He looked down at EnderBrine, Daniel and Elena. Normally when he did that, he would turn hostile and begin wreaking havoc on that blockhead. Only this time he didn't. Instead, he was listening to the sounds of the incoming Piglin's.

The Enderman screeched as he disappeared. Purple particles flew around in the air before fizzling away. The Enderman reappeared further down the hallway.

"What is he doing?" Daniel asked.

"Looks like he's on our side," EnderBrine said, "but I've also come to find out that Endermen hate Piglin's. Whenever they see one, they'll attack at first glance," EnderBrine explained.

"I don't feel one bit bad for those Piglin's! They're feisty creatures," Daniel said.

The three of them made it to the end of the hallway they were running down. EnderBrine turned his head both ways to look down each hallway to his left and right. He had to make sure there were no other Piglin's in the fortress.

"C'mon," he said, "this way."

"Why don't we just fight them? They can't be that hard to fight," Elena said.

"Don't underestimate those Piglin's," EnderBrine said, "and we will."

"With what?" Daniel said.

"You'll see," EnderBrine responded.

As they continued to run, things up on the OverWorld weren't any better. Romeo, Julian, Amelia, Freddie, and Hayley were all walking towards the Castle.

It was nighttime again, and everyone in the Kingdom was sleeping. They were trying to be as quiet as possible. There weren't many guards wandering around, which made it more easy on their part to get into the Castle.

As they made their way to the castle, they were talking amongst themselves about their plan. They all knew Scarlet was invoked in the disappearance of Daniel and Petra.

"What happens if we get caught Romeo?" Amelia asked, "then what will we do?"

"We'll move over to the backup plan," Romeo responded.

"What's the backup plan?" Freddie asked.

"We fight!" Romeo answered.

They made their way up to the main entrance. Romeo slowly opened the oak wood door. He peeked inside to make sure there were no guards around. There wasn't. He glanced back at everyone else as he walked into the castle. Julian, Amelia, Freddie and Hayley all followed him. Once they were all inside, Romeo carefully closed the door behind them. He was covering their tracks. The last thing they needed was to be spotted by the guards.

"Follow me," Romeo said, "Hayley. Grab out your map and tell us where to go."
