Merlin Casts A Spell

Desert Village, OverWorld

Day

"Elena," Sheriff Robert said as his horse trotted over to Elena. She was just returning from helping Daniel retake his Kingdom. It was a successful take back. Scarlet had been overthrown and punished accordingly.

She had a book in her hand. It was glowing. Robert had noticed she was carrying a book and had to ask what the book was for. He jumped off of his horse and walked over to Elena.

"Elena," Robert said, "what's written inside of that book?"

Elena was tired and exhausted. For one, she had been up for about four days without any sleep. Once nightfall sets upon the OverWorld once more, a phantom will be flying around her. If she's not in bed by then, the phantom will not hesitate to attack her or anyone who's in close range to it.

"It's from King Daniel," Elena said, "he wants to unite the seven villages; our village being one of them."

"May I have a look inside?" Robert asked.

Elena smiled and gladly handed the book over to Robert. He took the book from her and immediately opened it. The contents of the book were indeed written by the King himself. It was a letter. Fascinating.

The King had written:

Dear Friends,

The Kingdom of the Plains has been saved. Scarlet had been overthrown and punished accordingly. As I've come to realize, we will never be safe from any type of threat known to exist.

Surrounding my Kingdom is a protection spell, which was cast by my good friend Merlin. For now, our Kingdom is safe. Going forward, I thought it'd be best if we unite the Seven Villages of the OverWorld.

As I work to advance our safety and security across the OverWorld, you have my word that I will keep you all safe. If you shall have any questions or concerns, feel free to come visit my wonderful Kingdom. Our gates will be open.

Yours truly,

King Daniel

Once Robert had finished reading the book, he slammed it shut. He was ecstatic to hear that Daniel had retaken his Kingdom and that Scarlet had been overthrown. That was glorious news.

He didn't know how to react or think of the King's plans moving forward. Robert had questions. He could go and visit the Kingdom himself, but who would protect his village when he was away? He thought about that for a moment. Then, suddenly, a good idea popped up inside of his head. At that very moment, he knew exactly who could protect the Village while he's away.

"HeroBrine?" Robert said. "I have a favor to ask of you."

HeroBrine was helping another blockhead with their daily activities. Robert went walking over to HeroBrine, with his horse following close behind him.

"What's the favor?" HeroBrine asked.

"Do you think you could keep this village safe while I'm away?" Robert asked as he grabbed his golden badge out of his inventory. He held his hand out to give it to HeroBrine.

"Why yes," HeroBrine said, "yes I can."

Robert was relieved. Knowing what HeroBrine did in the past didn't worry Robert. Since then, HeroBrine has earned his trust. Sure, he used to be evil. But that's not him anymore. He's changed since then.

HeroBrine grabbed Sheriff Roberts' badge out of his hand. He faintly smiled at Robert.

"Don't worry Robert," HeroBrine said, "this place will be safe under my protection. I assure you."

"Thank you, HeroBrine," Robert said. "I'm counting on you. Don't let me down, pal."

"I won't," HeroBrine said, "now stop worrying about—," HeroBrine said as the ground suddenly began to shake violently. Faint rumbling sounds could be heard. In the near distance, emerging from the Woodlands Forest, was a big, tall figure slowly making its way towards them.

As the figure got closer, the shaking got even worse. Robert glanced over into the direction of the Woodlands forest. His mouth dropped. He froze in place, unable to move. He was fully paralyzed metaphorically. He lifted his arm and pointed.

HeroBrine walked outside and looked in the direction where Robert was looking. The figure was tall, big, and made of stone. It's eyes were bright green. Everyone else in the village came out of their homes to see what all the commotion was about.

"What is that?" A female villager asked.

HeroBrine and Robert stood in awe. As for HeroBrine, he had a good guess as to what it was that was coming their way.

"The legend is true after all!" HeroBrine mentioned, "I know what that thing is."

"What is it?" Robert asked, becoming scared and worried very rapidly.

"It's—it's the—Golem Monster! It's awakened! It's best we run. We don't stand a chance against that thing!" HeroBrine finally answered.

"Good idea!" Robert said.

As the terror began to unfold in the Village, matters back at the Kingdom were a bit complicated. Daniel was standing in the middle of the hallway with Frederick, Merlin and Ceres present. They were all curious to see if removing his memories worked or not. Now, they were going to put it to the test.

"Tell me Daniel," Frederick began to say, "how are you feeling? What are you thinking about?"

Daniel examined his entire body. He forgot what had just happened to him. Removing the painful memories of Petra was the only way Daniel could move on. Sure, removing those memories was upsetting, but it had to be done.

"I'm feeling better than ever before. Now that Scarlet is gone, our Kingdom is finally safe once again. Hopefully this time it's permanent," Daniel answered logically.

"Let's hope that Merlin's protection spell worked," Ceres said.

"It will," Daniel said, "nothing will ever get into this Kingdom."

"So now what do we do, your majesty?" Frederick asked Daniel. Frederick faintly smiled at him. Daniel sighed heavily.

"Well for starters, we could address the Kingdom. Letting them know Scarlet is gone is information they need to know. I'm sure everyone has questions as well."

"Well let's go fetch your crown and get you cleaned up," Ceres said, "then we can address the Kingdom."

"Sounds like a plan," Daniel had responded. Together, Merlin, Ceres and Daniel all began walking down the hallway. Frederick stayed where he was standing.

"I'll catch up with you guys soon," Frederick said as he vanished into thin air. Where did he go off to? Did he have different intentions or plans? If so, what were they?

Mesa Biome, OverWorld

Dusk

The Creepers, Zombies, Enderman and Spiders were all beginning to appear. The Sun was slowly setting on the horizon. In a nearby mountain, there was a cave. The cave was brightly lit with torches.

Inside the cave, David and Peter were standing next to each other. They were both staring at the wall with eight item frames and signs. Two item frames had a red x on them, while the other six didn't. David was specifically focused on the third item frame and sign.

"So what's next?" Peter asked.

David glanced over to his right at Peter. He put his hands behind his back.

"Phase three of course," David responded.

"What's phase three again?" Peter asked.

"The Golem Monster Awakening," David said. "I have a good feeling about this phase Peter. I really do."

"You're confident it'll work?" Peter asked.

There was a brief moment of silence between them. Then, out of nowhere, footsteps could be heard approaching. Daniel and Peter turned around to look at the doorway. The oak wood door was open.

"It will," the darkened person said.

The blockhead was standing in the dark so that David not Peter could make out his true identity.

"Sir? Is that you?" David asked.

"Indeed," David's boss responded. "Now what's your progress so far with the plan?"

"Two failed attempts, six more scenarios to go," David responded honestly and straight to the point.

"I trust you will make sure this phase doesn't fail, right?" David's boss questioned.

"I won't let you down, Sir," David responded.
