Qin Ran grew up in the countryside with her grandma. She was just a year old when her father and mother divorced. 

Both her parents remarried and have children on their own. They left her quite comfortably; living a simple life in the countryside with her doting grandma.

However, her grandmother died when she was 14. Her mother, who remarried to a well off Lin family, decided to take her in. 

In her last life, it went from being peaceful to chaos when she came to the Lin family.

Her half-sister Lin Xiaowen hated her.

Her older stepbrother, Lin Shauran was cold to her.

Her own mother Ning Erlang disdained her.

Although she didn’t give up without a fight; she chased Xu Junyen, trying to get him back from her half-sister until the very end, with her outside their wedding reception soaked in the rain.

To Be Loved – Pampered After Rebirth

In her past life, the first time she met the three, she was in awe. 


In her eyes, her sister Lin Xiaowen was a goddess. She had a straight and black hair falling softly down to her waist, with a set of beautiful red phoenix eyes. Both eyes are quite apart from each other but they complemented her small face, straight nose, and small pouty lips. Everything fitted beautifully together. If not for her height of 157 cm that is on the petite side, Lin Xiaowen's sharp beauty would be in par with that of a supermodel.


Even though they came from the same mother, Lin Xiaowen and Qin Ran's facial features are quite the opposite.


Her face is oval and softly rounded. Her nose, while not short, is quite thicker in comparison to Xiaowen's thin nose.  Their lips are both pouty but Qin Ran's lips are fuller. She is also taller. At 16, Qin Ran is already 167.74 cm. Her number asset is her peach blossom natural hazel eyes that look soulful but her young self never appreciated their beauty. She always envied Lin Xiaowen's phoenix eyes, feeling that hers were mediocre, and no character at all. 


However, while Xiaowen has a sharp beauty that would attract attention instantly but will burn out in the end, Qin Ran's beauty will grow on you as you will discover a more beautiful side of her.


But Qin Ran never appreciated her beauty because, in the end, she still lost Xu Junyen to her sister. In her last life, she was completely annihilated competing with Xiaowen. Now, she won't care about who is more beautiful. She will just love herself.


That is why when she saw the once again the 15-year-old Xiaowen stepping down the stairway with her brother and father, Qin Ran was not blinded with her beauty as she was before. Instead, she continued to sit quietly watching the three coming down.


"So this is Qin Ran." Father Lin exclaimed. "She looks a lot like you Erlang". He looked at her mother with an unfathomable expression. Qin Ran never really guessed if it was good or bad that she looks like her mother in the eyes of her stepfather Lin Jin. Aside from that first meeting, he never mentioned it again. And from the following blunder that she did in the past life, her stepfather stopped caring who she looked like. In the end, he didn't even want to look at her.


Ning Erlang looked at Qin Ran as though confirming if she does look like her. "Yeah, you could say that. She is my daughter after all. " Erlang reluctantly agreed before she stood up and walk towards them. 


"Aunt Zhang said the table is ready. Let's all have our dinner. You must all be hungry after a busy day at work and school". 


With that said, Erlang ushered the three towards the dining room. Lin Shauran who was indifferent paused a while and looked back at her. "Are you waiting for an invitation?" he asked when he noticed that Qin Ran remained seated. He didn't wait for her response and went toward the dining area without looking back at her again. And all throughout their first meeting, Lin Xiaowen didn't even look at her.


Qin Ran sighed and stood up. She slowly followed them and braced herself for the discussion up ahead.


'Qin Ran, let's endure this.' She told herself.
