Chapter 1

" Hazel, you are going to get married to the vampire prince tomorrow," the moment my dad said it, I feel as If my whole world has crashed down. How can my dad tell me to get married to a guy I have not even seen....talk about loving him? What does he think of me as? I was already pissed. Does my dad think I am someone who will just do as he says? Not only did he give me the big news I will get married, but he also said tomorrow. Does he want me to leave the house early?

" Dad, I won't get married to him.....you can't force me in getting married to a guy that I don't even know about,"

" If we have a choice, why will we send you? But you are a princess and it is your duty to bear the responsibility of the whole clan," my mother said.

She is the Queen of the demon clan, she always listens to what I said but now she is joining my dad to attack me. Whenever my dad wants me to do something that I don't want, she always supports me, why is she being like this?

" So you guys are sacrificing me? Am I even your daughter?" I stand up " I hate you," I shouted at them and run to my room.

I hate them. Why should I do the work of sacrificing myself? Why? I locked myself in the room and I was crying. My mother knocked on the door.

" Dear opened the door.....let's talk,"

" I am not opening it until you cancel the marriage," I shouted back at her.

" Do you think I am happy to send my only child to another clan? I am not happy but our hands are tied, there is nothing we can do.....if we have a choice we won't make this decision," my mother said behind the door.

She said she has no choice. They have a choice but their choice is to sacrifice me. Why do I have to get married to him?

" Opened the door, let's talk," I went and opened the door. She entered inside.

She hugged me.

" I understand that you don't want it but you need to know we are doing it for your own good.....your dad and I love you so much,"

If you love me, you won't force me into getting married.

" Okay, mom I understand.....I will listen to you," there is nothing I can do since they are set on marrying me off.

" Mom, can you leave I want to rest?"

" I understand," she smiled " Don't be sad, okay," she touched my face.

She left. No one understands me, no one knows what I want. Everyone is saying they are doing it for my good but what I can see is that they are doing it for themselves. Why am I a princess? I can't stay here and wait for my death. I got to do something. I started packing my things when my maid entered.

" My lady, what are you doing?"

" Shhh, help me," she looks confused. She has been the one taking care of me since when I was a child.

" What is it?"

" I am leaving here,"

" What?" she was shocked then she closed her mouth " My lady, you can't run away, what about your parents?"

" They will figure it out themselves,"

" I am going to tell your parents,"

" Don't please, I don't want to get tied down by any man,"

" But-,"

" Help me, once things calm down I will come back, please,"

She looked at my face and was hesitating, she finally agreed to help me. She quickly helps me pack and I went to the human world. It is in the human world I will be a lot safer.

" Dad, Mom I am unfilial, I can't see myself getting married to someone I don't love, I am sorry.....I hope you will forgive me,"

I quickly leave, I use my magic to make a portal to the human world.

I never thought that entering that portal will change my life forever.
