GoodBye

Sitting on the floor, the boy got over his initial shock and glared at the trio.

"Marie, you little witch! I asked you to be my girlfriend, and you made me look like a fool in front of the guys! Look at you now! You have two guys hanging on your arm! You're worse than a slut!"

With every word, the twins' cold murderous aura grew stronger, and their grip on Kyo SeolJu grew weaker.

"To insult me, I must first value your opinion. Do me a favor and leave the insults to the pros. You're gonna hurt yourself. Now be a good boy and go play in traffic. Besides, you're more worthless than the white crayon?"

Rubbing her brother's arms in an attempt to calm them down. Kyo SeolJu's voice was aggressive, but her face held a cute smile. Hearing the sweet-toned insults, the twins hurriedly took Kyo SeolJu to the checkout before more than the boy's self-esteem was crushed.

"How are you doing today?"

The teen cashier mumbled while checking out the items. Quickly glancing up at the three, the girl had to do a double-take on the trio. With their backs to the sun, the three looked like angels descending from heaven.

"W-will that b-be all for y-you?"

Blushing, the girl finished the checkout and handed Kyo SeolJu the receipt.

"Thanks!"

Grabbing the bags, the twins walked out with Kyo SeolJu hanging on their arms.

"Thanks, Uncle Kim!"

Kyo SeolJu was extremely happy as she got in the car.

"Home, please."

Sliding next to Kyo SeolJu, Kyo Ryujin and Uncle Kim shared a knowing look.

"Come on! Come on! Come on! I am hungry!"

Arriving at the house, Kyo SeolJu dragged the twins by their arms as Uncle Kim brought in the groceries.

"Babygirl, go rest. We will bring your breakfast to you on the porch."

Kyo Ryuji gently pushed her out towards the back door. Humming her reply, Kyo SeolJu's smile disappeared as she walked outside.

Ten minutes later, her grandfather quietly opened the door.

"I know that look, Snowflake. You are worried about something."

About to refute, Grandpa Kyo pinned her down with a glare.

"Someone is trying to kill me."

Peeking at Grandpa Kyo from the corner of her eye, Kyo SeolJu saw his face pale.

"The earliest memories I have are in the hospital when Auntie said it was lucky I survived the attack. I know all of you wanted me to stay with you, but you encouraged mom to take me because of the death threats I was getting. I had to run to keep myself from dying, and now I have to run to keep my family from dying."

Standing up, Kyo SeolJu leaned on the railing, her face a mixture of sorrow and guilt. Grandpa Kyo shot up, shocked with wide eyes,

"What do you mean your family is going to die!"

"I have been having "accidents" here and there, you'll always have someone save me. But I have been taking the "accidents" that were for family. I have been doing it for a while, but I just got their first death threat. I have to leave. The longer I stay, the more at risk they are."

Her worn voice was soft as she looked at the clouds with blank eyes.

Grandpa Kyo knew that Kyo SeolJu was aware of the people who wanted to kill her, but he had no idea that she was dealing with them herself.

"I am going back. But I want the best people protecting my family."

The way Kyo SeolJu stared into his eyes, Grandpa Kyo could have sworn she was looking into his soul.

"We would do nothing less, Snowbaby!"

Coming outside, Kyo Ryujin smiled with a food tray in his hands.

"What made you think we wouldn't do that for you?"

Pouting, Kyo Ryuji handed her a glass of orange juice.

"No! I knew you would take care of everything!"

Kyo SeolJu was back to her happy, bubbly self in the blink of an eye. It was so fast Grandpa Kyo wondered if he had made up the whole conversation.

"Please don't cry. I will be back, and I promise I will call so much you won't even know I am gone!"

Wiping away her sisters' tears, Kyo SeolJu's tender, consoling voice held traces of grief. The few hours she spent with them went by too quickly, and the drive to the airport, was filled with tears.

"Maire, don't go!"

"Don't leave us, Marie!"

"Maire, stay with us!"

The whole family was a crying mess as Robert tried to stop himself from asking her to stay.

Holding back her tears, Kyo SeolJu said her goodbyes, gave her final hugs and kisses, and one last wave goodbye from the plane window before they were out of sight. Running to the bedroom at the back of the plane, Kyo SeolJu threw herself on the bed and wept until she fell asleep.

Hearing her sobs throughout the plane, everyone grieved for their little empress. Grandpa Kyo and the twins cried silent tears hoping everything would be better when they were home.
