Meeting in Chaos

The man in gold's eyes that were just sizing Kaito up, now look down upon him like a rock that weighs several tons. Kaito sensing immense danger takes a step back. "My name is Naga" the man in gold spoke a flash of light glinting from his dangerous blue eyes.

"Naga? W-WAIT THE as in T H E NAGA !?!? THE GOD OF WEALTH??? I thought that was just an old wives tale so mothers can make their children work harder?" Kaito looks the man up and down holding in a laugh. "Yes and no" Naga steps forward to stand next to Kaito, turning to look at his now desecrated palace. "I am the one and only god of wealth, but I am not a fictional character for people to laugh about." Naga looking out the corner of his eye at Kaito aggressively, without turning his head.

He watched the man in beggars clothes stand there gawking , noticing the wooden necklace around his neck. "S-so~" Kaito's face lit up and an evil smile crosses his face so wide you could see every single one of his teeth. "You're a money genie in a skull whose lost everything. Should I be making the wish or should you?" Immediately Naga swung a hand to hit the man next to him, a flash of rage in his eyes as Kaito ducks quickly and narrowly avoids the hit. "YOU DARE INSULT ME AFTER I SPARED YOUR LIFE!?" Naga yells , his voice now booming like thunder. His energy alone causing a suffocating feeling and a chill. "IM KIDDING! CALM YOUR ANCIENT ASS!" Kaito snaps humorously while fumbling backwards.

Naga retracts his hand looking at the wooden necklace in his hand, that was once around Kaito's neck. "Where did you get this?" Naga asks staring at the necklace with an unreadable expression.

Kaito realizing the necklace was held by Naga leapt up and screeched , his voice cracking as he spoke, pointing a finger full of accusations. "MY TEACHER GAVE ME THAT GIVE IT BACK!! YOU JERK HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY DARLING'S WORK AND SOIL IT! SHE SPENT SO MUCH TIME ON THAT, IT'S THE BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP IN ALL OF LANUL!!" He swung an arm forward to grab it as Naga pulled his hand away just out of Kaito's reach, his golden bangles jingling like tiny bells. "OH? A girl made this?" Another eerie smile creeping across his face, he leaned uncomfortably close into Kaito's face "And who is this woman? How does she know how to forage my own work and even my own signature?"

Kaito taken aback his green eyes dimming at the mans claims , his mouth gaping in shock. "How dare you insult her, are you calling her a thief?"

(Naga:) "I'm merely calling a duck, a duck. If it walks like a duck .... well, you should be familiar with the phrase... right?"

(Kaito:) "..."

Kaito was dumbfounded by this god's attitude towards his teacher, she taught him how to exorcise spirits, she's the best spirit worker known to mankind. But, not only that she's a human, this god has been sleeping, if not dead for centuries! How could she even know him???

Stepping forward, Naga begins to walk down the hill towards the village. His hair whipping in the wind , and his blue eyes shining in the moonlight. "Let's go meet this woman, by the way, which village is she from?" He smiled eerily without turning back.

Kaito's face turned pale, "uh...hold on you can't..." he stops talking unsure what to say, stuttering syllables in a panic, looking at Naga with wide eyes.

Naga stopped walking and turned to face the stuttering fool , quite irritated by his level of disrespect. "You dare try to tell a god what to do, mortal thief?" Kaito stunned shook his head lifting his hand to rub his eyes in irritation, pausing for a moment longer. "Speak, or let's go, you're wasting my time." He chided Kaito, his eyes full of impatience.

Kaito not moving his hand from his face sighed in irritation and frustration, "How long is it going to take you to realize you don't have any clothes on, this entire time? I don't think its appropriate to approach a woman like that? Let alone wander in public..." not daring to look up.

Naga looking down had a confused expression, "I am clothed, what else needs covered? I need nothing else." Kaito absolutely stunned again looks at Naga his hand rising to touch his head. Kaito then opens his mouth in total horror "WHAT PART OF YOU IS POSSIBLY CLOTHED!?"

Naga raises his wrist showing his bangles then points at his golden necklace and earrings, "These are enough, I need nothing else"

Kaito looks at Naga in frustration, snapping "GOLD IS NOT A CLOTH!" Kaito shouts, then sighs again opening his mouth "Please put some clothes on, I have NO CLUE what life was like in your era, but nowadays men need to at least cover up their umm... junk..." he points at Naga manhood awkwardly. "I swear its really uncomfortable telling a grown ass man to wear a piece of cloth and cover himself..."

Naga looking down smiles, a laugh creeping from his throat, "shouldn't I remain bare, as not to surprise the women when I undress? I am quite large, it would be an overwhelming surprise. What if they cant handle the sight of it and run?" boasting about his size he laughs heartily knowing the man in front of him likely cannot compare to him. Kaito unable to hold his breath, laughs a hearty laugh holding his stomach and staggering in place , "I have NEVER , EVER heard someone say something so bold. I'm jealous that I didn't say it first!" Tears rolling down his face. Taking a breath he tries to straighten himself up, "Okay, okay, all jokes aside. You will get arrested walking in public like this, here" kneeling down and rummaging through a small sack he had brought with him.

Kaito then reaches out to hand Naga a piece of worn cloth. "It's not silk, but it will do until we can buy some in town."

Naga did not take the cloth, but only looked down sneering at the disgusting piece of fabric, he looked at Kaito clearly bothered "I will not." He turned and began to walk towards the village.

Kaito, clearly distraught pleading "PLEASE, M-m—m-My lord..." choking and gagging on what he'd just said, he desperately wanted him to wear the clothes, even at the cost of his own pride. He tries to stop Naga "please, wear the cloth. You can bathe and buy whatever you like tomorrow, when the shops are open. I'd hate to see myself getting arrested because of you.." he paused for a moment thinking, then continued "and if we get arrested we cannot go see my teacher, whom you claim to be a thief"

Naga pondering over everything he was just told, he knew the man was right. It would be much, much harder to find this woman, especially if humans start interfering too much. Gritting his teeth he reaches forward and grabs the cloth, the amount of dirt on it made him shudder just from touching it. He then looks at the cloth in his hands with a dark expression, unmoving, and in total silence. Almost as if he is contemplating something. Kaito who's patience was running out, speaks up to break the silence, "Just put it on!" He snapped quickly.

Naga looks up at Kaito with the most pitiful look on his face, he pauses then speaks to him sincerely "umm... you said your name was Kaito?"

(Kaito:) "yes, now put it-"

Naga hands the cloth to Kaito before he can finish his sentence. The god's face now red as a beat and he's gritting his teeth trying not to look this mortal in the eyes. He sighed and spoke slowly "I need you... to help me..."

Kaito's mouth gaped looking shocked, eyed this ancient god up and down, then at the cloth, trying to understand what he wanted. When it finally dawned on him, he took the cloth from Naga and his face also becoming red now, he's screaming internally then speaks in a low voice, "you're telling me ... you don't know how to put on your own clothes!?" He grumbled not daring to look Naga in the eyes, at this point it'd be too awkward.
