A New Perspective

Azemo awoke right on time as (skill) Alarm did its job and roused him. Azemo could not help but smile, he was actually on time.

"Why do I get the feeling that you like your alarm clock more than any of your other gear." Ima dryly said after seeing Azemo's grin.

"What, that is crazy. Of course I like my other stuff better."

"Very convincing." Ima snorted and turned back to her food before Bella could eat it.

It had been two days since Azemo had received his mission from Sareth and he was still trying to formulate a plan.

After breakfast he put his two daggers into the holsters in his sleeves and put the communicator in his pocket. Azemo had thought it best to keep this equipment at hand to blend in with the other members of Lleh.

"Okay, are you two ready?" These days Bellania and Imagine would come down to the surface with him and scout out the governor's house. No one paid any attention to two small cats, so they could do as they pleased.

Even with all their freedom they had yet to find anything but Azemo had faith in them so he continued to try and come up with a plan while the two cats searched.

However, most of the time he needed to use his meager brain power to control Reginald so not that much planning was ever done.

On his way down Azemo looked around at the people doing their daily jobs. It made so much sense to him that something was wrong with them, otherwise they would not be so blatantly ignorant about everything.

This thought made Azemo remember Indigo and he wondered who Indigo really was. She obviously knew a lot and was willing to share but she had conformed to the accepted way of talking.

'Maybe she is a member of Lleh.' Azemo told himself to keep an eye out for her so he could ask her a few more questions.

Even if he had to spend a day getting his ear talked off, it was worth it.

While Azemo was slowly beginning to piece together the problem with Behirite's world. The Soul Essence was trying to figure out how much Azemo actually knew.

'He has enough information to figure everything out, but he has still not reached the correct conclusion. I guess that some of that fake evidence really threw him off. I wonder if he will actually figure out a solution.'

After spending so much time with Azemo the Soul Essence was growing just the tiniest bit fond of him. The orb still hated Azemo's guts but sometimes his actions would impress the orb.

"Hey Azemo, actually on time for once." Slicker was waving to Azemo.

"I am always on time."

"Yeah suuure." Slicker rolled his eyes so heavily that Azemo was worried they might end up stuck in that position forever.

Not long after Jin and Glen rolled up, but surprisingly the tall thin woman that Azemo had met on his first day showed up as well. Azemo had not seen her since that first day so something had to be going on.

"Before you head off I have something to tell you all. In three days the governor will hold his annual workers party. It starts at sundown and make sure you bring formal attire." Without letting them ask any questions the tall woman hurried off.

"You guys have worked here for a while, have you ever been to one of these parties before?"

"I have, we have to go if we want to keep our jobs and it is dreadfully boring." Slicker looked a little sad that he would have to go to the party.

"Also make sure you wear formal formal attire otherwise if the governor sees you he will get very angry."

Azemo nodded and hurried off to get Reginald prepared. The party was his chance, he would be invited into the house and he could have a look around. The only problem was that he did not have any formal attire.

'I guess I should talk to Casen today.'

The walk was uneventful, meaning that Reginald only tried to bite Azemo a couple times, and Azemo was not that tired as he made his way back to the sky city.

After contacting Casen with the communicator the two met up at the same cafe from before. This time they actually went in it, instead of going to the shady alleyway on the side.

"You need my help shopping." Casen was a little incredulous that the first time Azemo had used his communicator was for something like buying clothes.

"Well I am pretty poor and I need help concealing my weapons in my outfit. I am sure there will be some pretty tight security." It was going to be the first time in a while where Azemo could not bring his room bag.

"I guess I can help you."

"Naisu."

The rest of the day was spent with Casen taking Azemo's measurements. Apparently Casen knew someone who could make clothes so Azemo did not have to worry about finding formal wear.

'I wonder what is considered formal on Kaclzan. Come to think of it I have never really seen a wealthy person.'

Azemo had spent most of his time in Kaclzan as the lowest class citizen and only recently made it to the middle class. As such he had never really seen the wealthy part of the flying city.

After finishing up with Casen, Azemo began to prepare, he was only going to get one shot at entering the house.

First off he would not have Bella and Ima because they would have to guard the room bag and Azemo was a bit worried that security would throw them out.

Secondly Azemo was not sure how he was going to sneak off but decided he would just try and keep a low profile before slipping away.

Finally Azemo had to decide which rooms to search. Bella and Ima had already mapped out the whole place but the reason they had not found anything was because they could not read.

'Probably the study and the bedroom would be the best places to look.'

With that the whole plan was finished. It was rather simple but Azemo had a rather simple brain.

In fact the whole plan took Azemo an entire day to come up with and that was all before he saw what he had to wear.

Casen called him over after he finished work to show Azemo the finished product. It was not as wild as Azemo had thought but it looked to be difficult to fight in.

The outfit was a plain grey suit but all over it were weird pieces of metal that jutted out. Casen told Azemo that it was typical for suits to have metal in them but Azemo still found it quite odd.

The only benefit of having metal all over meant that the two dagger handles could be attached to the outside of the sleeves and no one would think twice. As for the communicator it was slipped behind Azemo's royal walker badge.

After he put it on, Azemo found the suit to be surprisingly comfortable and he was ready for his first espionage mission.

Of course he still had to wait another day but that did not mean he wasn't excited.
