Broken Glass

I woke up to sunlight as Azel opened the window to my new room and I wondered how she was always able to wake up at the perfect time. She was able to enter because I did not have to be as careful in our house. Of course the Backup Plan was still hidden in my shoes.

I sleepily mumbled good morning, I was still not used to talking in the early morning and as she left she smiled. I rolled over in the comfy bed that had been left for us in our house.

"Maybe today can be a pajama day."

Even as I spoke, I was changing into my normal clothes, putting on my numerous pieces of archery equipment.

As usual, I put on my boots last, after securing my quiver. My bow was already on my back, unstrung. I had been in the habit of wrapping up at night, I needed to treat my weapon with utmost respect and Yukano always drilled bow care into my mind.

I am pretty sure she did not mean tucking it into bed, but I did not see any harm in doing so.
