Each vial was large enough to dose around a hundred people. I jumped back up to the window with a single casual motion. Opening the window with a quick calm movement before silently moving into the hotel room. Effectively cutting off any more conversation. Malor would have a lot to think about for a while so I didn't want to talk to him anymore.
The next few hours passed quietly without any interruption. I sat against the wall looking out into the alley. I frowned at the wall with some disappointment. The emotional hues of the people outside showed fear, anger, and a few other less recognizable emotions. Many of which were mixed. The hue of fear was slowly spreading to the whole of the city.
Not many people were capable of killing the city lord. If I were being honest then I wasn't one of them. Physically speaking he was stronger. He required less mana to cast spells that were just as strong as my own. There were two reasons that I was able to win.
One was my poison. The other was my soul weapon. Oblivion was a trick type soul weapon. Trick type soul weapons were rare. They were the only type of soul weapon that could change it's elemental properties.
Oblivion preferred the time element. The amount of divine energy it required was enormous. Whenever I wasn't focused on a specific element I wanted to bring forth Oblivion always appeared as a time element blade. I didn't have complete control over the blade. The only reason I knew the abilities of the blade was because of the description the system had provided me when I created the blade.
I wanted to flare my wings, and fly into the sky. Right now wasn't the time. I had things to do. We would move on as soon as Sekka woke up, and regained some semblance of awareness. I already packed up all of our stuff.
I'd already took the time to care for the birds as well. Neither one of them really liked me, but they needed food, and water. I was the one giving it to them so they tolerated me. I smirked to myself as I stared at the sleeping Sekka. He was used to living in hostile situations.
Sleeping in hostile situations. He could function to a high degree around people he feared would kill him. The pendant that Malor had given him hung loosely around his neck. I saw the gem that was connected to his mother pulsing safely within his closed hand. He protected that gem more the he was willing to protect himself.
He kept it better hidden then anything he now owned. He almost always had it touching him in some way or close to his heart. I frowned slightly as waited. I didn't like waiting, and I lacked the mana to do anything else. That was ignoring the fact that there was a small army roaming the streets looking for any strange magic users.
I couldn't go to my inner world because that would allow my mind to rest. I need to look tired when we left the city later today. If I looked well rested people would be suspicious. I climbed out the window, and moved up to the roof. Sitting in the sunlight as I observed the movements of all the guards patrolling the city.
When the sun began to dip low in the sky I noticed that Sekka was finally waking up. I moved down into the room. Setting out a fresh outfit for Sekka to wear before heading down to the birds, and packing all of our stuff. Leaving behind just one bag for Sekka to place his dirty clothes in. He had mana clothing as well, but they were more for combat oriented days, and challenges.
Generally he wore them beneath the nice looking merchant clothing he liked to wear. Sekka was getting more comfortable with his act. I was glad. He needed that kind of confidence. That pendant around his neck allowed him to relax a good amount.
He would have the legitimate mana signature of a high elf if he chose to cast a spell. The idea that he was the child of a normal elf trying to gain the status of a lesser noble was believable. Plus his paperwork as a registered merchant was legal by elven standards. I led the birds out to the hitching post by the doors of the hotel. I walked back up the hotel room.
I waited for Sekka outside the room. I could still see him through the door with my powerful eyes. I didn't care to watch him get dressed. I'd long memorized the dimensions of his body, and I still had my spatial awareness closely observing everything within its range. I was giving more focus to the things closer to us.
Pulling my spatial awareness in heightened it to an extreme degree, but it also reduced the range. Right now I needed the full range of my spatial awareness. I smirked as a well rested Sekka walked down the stairs. I helped him up on his bird. Many of the guards around the city seemed to be a little surprised that there was still a slave within the city that wasn't stolen away.
I wasn't the only slave that had managed to escape being stolen. A few small folks who only owned two or three had managed to keep their slaves as well. I didn't have time to go through every household, and get every single slave. I could double back, and get the rest of the slaves in this city later if I had time. Right now I didn't have time.
We needed to leave this city like many of the other foreign merchants were moving their way out of the city. Some of them didn't even bother sleeping, and left while we were assaulting the city. Taking the time to sleep was something only the poorer merchants who couldn't afford protection. They needed to cover the maximum distance possible. Being well rested before you traveled for days on end without sleep put them at something of an advantage.
