He simply smiled and stood as she looked around her. Her heart was pounding. He had no idea that she was feeling all sorts of things for them inside her. He just wanted to surprise her. But his words weighed a ton to her.
"Beautiful," she said. She recollected a memory she had with him. The first time when she was doing the jar alone and painting in them. She painted a mustard garden. That was the second time she told him how much she would love to live in the middle of a meadow or a mustard farm so beautiful with her family and that she will never wish for more once she gets them.
"I actually came for the registration of the place. And I haven't resigned from my work. I just took a long leave and decided to ask for a transfer." He told her.
"So you will go back?" her heart broke of a sudden.
"Probably I will have to. I'm trying not to."
"When?" she asked something dark started creeping in her heart. The same hollowness, and then she realised that she didn't want him to leave her side, she hated the idea of him going back. She reminded herself to hide the feelings since it looked hopeless. Not patient enough to listen to what he had to say. She looked around and took a deep breath closing her eyes.
"Anytime." he informed her.
She didn't like it at all. But she didn't know he was just trying to play, hiding the fact that he has already been hired here in one of the best gaming companies in the world. She looked at him. She knew she couldn't give up.
For the first time she realized amidst of the anger, she always wanted him to come back all these years. But she forcefully made her forget him. 'The moment you leave again, I will have no more hope to hold on to anything' she told Lu Han inside her head.
The wind was blowing in various directions. The houses in the distance looked so very tiny from the fields. She removed her heels and walked holding his hands. The sun slowly went behind the clouds and the atmosphere darkened all of a sudden.
"I think it's going to rain." She said. they walked fast back home but as they reached near the rain began to fall down. He removed his blazers and held it on top of their heads to not get drenched and quickly got into the house. He put the blazers on top of her shoulders and waited for the rain to stop. But it didn't. with nothing to sit on, they just stood there looking at each other.
He had no idea she had taken every word he joked seriously. She walked towards him and gave him a back hug trying her best to not shed tears. He let her stay that way for a few minutes and then turned back. He took her face in his hands looking at her. Her brown eyes and hair, her sharp nose and well cared soft lips. She closed her eyes and he smiled. He kissed her gently. Lu Han tried his best to control but he failed to. She took her and placed her on the table. He stopped for a moment and searched her eyes.
