A great opening, I love the futuristic feel and the tone!! I enjoy how details about the plot and setting are revealed slowly as that keeps readers from feeling overwhelmed with new information. Others have advised me to shorten my paragraphs, and I'm now passing that suggestion to you. Apparently it makes the story easier to digest? Besides that, though the writing is pretty good, I think that it is lacking in a few areas. I noticed a number of run on sentences and some minor errors such as improper punctuation. It's nothing horrible, just something to look out for!! Keep up the good work author ^u^
