The sun was brightly shining upon the large mansion, making the leaves in the garden glow with a golden light. Booming laughs of merry men could be heard inside but in the garden, all was peaceful. I was walking around the mansion, looking for Merrylia.
There in the garden, I saw her. Merrylia strolled around the garden, drinking in the peace. It seemed as if she doesn't remember when she last felt this way. I heard her let out a small calm sigh, as she walked over to the roses. She snaked to fingers under one flower and plicked it, studying the red petals. "I hope this is the only red to graze my skin forever."
"It will." I answered from behind her. I snaked my arms around her waist and gave her a feather light kiss on the back of her head. "I did promise you that, right?"
"You did." She leaned on me, placing her hand on top of mine.
"Why are you outside? It's starting to get hot."
