Chapter 13 - Dragon Mark

Melonina got up the next morning to the sound of her alarm clock. She yawned and stretched herself while her alarm rang and vibrated on her headboard. Throwing her lavender duvet aside, she set her feet on the brown carpet.

Melonina went to her window and opened the white curtains to a bright new day. With a big smile on her face, she looked out. Her room in the castle was high enough for her to see a hidden hot spring.

She looked closer to see who would be there, and she soon spotted Whitney sitting still with her naked back turned. Her smile grew wider. "She is quite the loner. No matter, I'll go over there and say hello. After all, the queen asked me to spend time with her." she grinned and twirled around—whipping her light pink hair in the process.

Melonina quickly put on a simple dress, took a towel and dashed out of the room. The guards she met along the way saluted her in respect. Melonina playfully saluted them back and continued on her way.

"Good morning, Sir Wadose," Melonina greeted Wadose at the bottom of staircase.

Wadose smiled with his hands behind his back, "It is a good morning indeed. Are you on your way to train with Akirexer?" Wadose inquired to which he received a nod. "I'll inform her highness."

"Thanks!" Melonina waved bye to him while she walked away.

Melonina walked to the south side of the royal land. It had a lot of trees for miles. It was so vast that one would easily get lost. Luckily, Melonina knew her way around that in no time, she sighted Whitney.

Whitney still had her back turned to her. With her head facing upwards, she stood so still like a statue. Not wanting to interrupt Whitney's thoughts yet, Melonina took off her dress and with her legs crossed, she put them into the hot spring.

Whitney sighed and submerged into the hot spring leaving only her eyes out. The hot water was like a massage of several experienced arms but it didn't relive her of her stress.

"My queen, please have mercy on her. She is mortal hence she didn't know any better!" Wadose exclaimed suddenly.

Sharaina blinked and her eyes returned to their normal pinkness. Her shoulders relaxed and her scowl disappeared. All that was left was a stoic expression. She turned away and sat back down at her dressing table.

Whitney was still up in the air struggling to breathe. She watched Sharaina pick up her hairbrush. The sound of her humming filled up the room once more. As soon as the brush touched her hair, Whitney fell hard to the ground - coughing hysterically.

Wadose grabbed her arm with his cold hand. "Come with me now." he insisted, by the tone of his voice, she was able to sense his fear.

Whitney didn't blame him at all, not after what she had just seen. Sharaina's bubbly and cheerful personality blinded her to the rage in her. Her hot temper was by far the worst she had ever seen in her entire life.

Wadose supported Whitney's waist and helped her out of the room. Sharaina continued to hum to herself as she brushed her hair. At no point did she turn to look back. Whitney finally took her eyes off her just before Wadose closed the door.

Whitney blinked at the thought of Sharaina giving her a second chance to live. Instead of being grateful, she was acting like a spoiled brat. The more Whitney thought about the name 'Akirexer', the more she started to like it. She guessed that now that she is a darkas god, she might as well discard her human names.

Perhaps that was why Sharaina decided to change it. It then hit her. Earlier, Sharaina told her not to tell anyone about who she was and that only she and Wadose knew the truth about her. If she told anyone her real name, they would all suspect something. Now the question was, why would Queen Sharaina decide to keep her a secret? Her life was so much easier on Earth.

"Thinking about your days on Earth as a human?" Melonina asked suddenly and startled Whitney to a splashy spin.

"Wait, what time did you get here?" Whitney asked and hid her large breasts with another splash.

"A little while ago. It must be difficult for you to adjust to this new place huh?" Melonina smirked and eyed Whitney's caramel body.

"I don't know what you are talking about." Whitney uttered annoyed.

"You don't have to worry Akirexer. I know that you are a none pure. You have a contract with Queen Sharaina." Melonina said with a giggle and got into the spring.

"Excuse me," Whitney coldly said and started walking past Melonina when she grabbed her hand and forced her to the edge of the spring. "What are you doing?" Whitney angrily asked her while she pulled her hand back but Melonina's hold was stronger.

Melonina didn't respond but instead pressed Whitney at the edge. She forced her arms apart and placed her breasts on Whitney's. Melonina put her knee in between Whitney's legs.

Whitney felt so uncomfortable that she blushed. Melonina drew closer as if to kiss her and Whitney faced the other way with a cringe. She felt her skin grow goosebumps when Melonina's moist lips brushed against her ear.

"Relax, Queen Sharaina told me about your contract with her." She whispered into Whitney's ear, and she felt her warm breath with every word. "She ordered me to train you." Melonina giggled and let go of Whitney.

Whitney scowled and backed away from her. Melonina ignored her and got out of the hot spring. She faced Whitney and she got a full view of her naked body. Whitney noticed the dragon mark on Melonina's right thigh. It ran down to her knee like an awesome tattoo.

"By the end of the week, you should be able to do this."

Melonina took a deep breath with her eyes closed. Whitney watched in awe at the dragon mark leave her body and morph into two magnificent pistols joined by a long silver chain. Each pistol was placed in her hands and the chain hang on her neck.

Whitney couldn't deny that Melonina looked so cool with her guns. Melonina pointed one gun at her and opened her mouth of fangs to a wide smile. Whitney instinctively backed away in fright. Her eyes dropped to her own dragon mark. It was a weapon and not just a plain birthmark. No wonder all warrior darkas gods had them.
