"Are you okay?" my mates asked me the moment Olivia vanished.
I nodded and hugged them tightly. "I thought she was going to get us. I... I–"
"Shh," Stephen consoled. "She only got to us because we weren't prepared."
"If we had known she'd attack us in the middle of the day, right inside the Conference, we would've been more cautious," Aaron added. "We're sorry we were useless."
I smacked them gently on their arms, "You two did fine."
Alicia gave my mates a smack on the back of their heads.
"You couldn't have bothered calling, couldn't you?" She glared at my mates intensely. "You know the Witch is getting more powerful by the moment, she's not something you can handle on your own anymore."
"But Alicia this is between our–"
Alicia smacked them again, "This is between our packs now. She's a threat to a pack that belongs to the Allied Packs. Therefore, she's a threat to all of us."
"But the question is…" Alpha Jonathan walked inside slowly, looking around the wrecked room. "Why did she come knowing there are hundreds of strong wolves in here?"
"Why and how those are the questions we will discuss in today's meeting. She's a bigger threat now more than ever," the alpha who was the host said. I think his name was Alpha Noah.
"Thank you, everyone," Aaron said.
"Even though the Witch was primarily our enemy," Stephen added.
"Where she came from is not a concern when she's now an enemy to all of us," Alicia said. "But next time call me. I treat you guys like my little brothers. I can't let that b*tch slaughter my little brothers like three little piggies, right?"
My eyes widened at what she said. I looked around to see if the third little piggy was me but then she placed a finger at my forehead.
"And you're the fattest little piggy," she chuckled and lightly tapped my forehead. There was a dim light before that died out after a second. "Chant, 'Alicia Keys' if you ever need any help. I'll be there."
The other alphas left right after a few more talks. We had to move rooms since our original room was so destroyed. There were marks of lightning strikes everywhere, the furniture were destroyed. It wasn't livable.
"Just when I warmed up to you," I told the room. "I'm sorry room, and goodbye."
"So adorable," Aaron chuckled and ruffled my hair. He kissed me on the cheek that was followed by Stephen.
"Thank you room."
–
"Why is the Witch all of our concern?" an alpha raised the question. "Isn't it Gold Moon's problem?"
"Yeah," another added. "They're the biggest pack in all of us but they can't terminate a witch? That's utter bull–"
A fork was thrown at the table of the alpha who was talking before he could finish.
Aaron and Stephen stretched their necks before standing.
"A threat that's been hiding amongst all of our woods," Aaron started. "Open the file in front of you."
"Olivia Brokenchild, aka The Witch, had been hiding among all of your territories for the past 18 years. "She had been living off of your lands but was only discovered by our pack when we met our mate."
"But wasn't the Witch's primary target was your mate?"
"That was only because she wanted to rise with the gods," Aaron said. "She needs our mate to power up so she could destroy us all."
"And how are you so sure that she's after all of us?"
"Because she wants to destroy everything the Moon Goddess has created," Stephen said and sighed. "She has anger towards the Goddess that she's willing to kill Klyde, our dear mate, to rise and destroy."
"If she has a taste of godly powers, she'll go to The Land of the Gods and will destroy every single one of them." I couldn't help but stand up. Only a fool could miss the proud smirks that were painted on my mates' faces.
"I know this is the conference for the alphas but we are talking about the Witch, I have to be involved as much as I can," I said with as much courage as I could. Their burning stares were already slowly killing my resolve but I remained standing.
"How is a Luna going to–"
I shifted my eyes to its silver color. Loud gasps echoed throughout the room as they stared at my eyes. My mates told me to keep this a secret to avoid skirmish between the allied packs but this was the only thing I could use to win their favor.
"I have silver eyes," I started. "Not gold, not pale gold nor rose gold. I have silver. Olivia's primary goal is to kill me and use my powers to become a god and kill the gods. She will then annihilate all the Supernaturals. Our lands, our families, our mates, ourselves. That's why to say that we need your help is utter bull–"
"No cursing," Aaron interrupted.
"You ruined the moment!" I argued.
"We don't like hearing you curse," Stephen pursed his lips.
I rubbed my temples before smacking both of them in the head. "Sorry," they both muttered.
This earned gentle laughs from the people in front of us. I cleared my throat and continued.
"As I was saying, to say that we need your help is nonsense. This is a calamity. We need everyone's help."
The room was filled with silence after my little speech. Every alpha and luna are contemplating about what I said. Should they believe me? Should they trust me? Before they could decide against what I wanted, my mates took the initiative to hurry them up.
"What do you say?" Aaron said. "We burn this witch down or we're going to cower like maggots?"
"Burn the Witch!" Alicia yelled.
"Burn the Witch!" Alpha Jonathan and Alpha Noah followed.
Along with being territorial and possessive, wolves are also proud. They do not want to show anyone their weakness or their fear. And peer pressure like this was one of their biggest enemies.
"Burn the Witch!" several wolves followed the chant until everyone was chanting.
"Burn the Witch!"
