The Necklace

I'm here again. At the marble garden kiosk.

The limitless rows of grass were swaying in the windless field, not stopping even a split second.

I looked at myself, looking okay in the white suit I was wearing. This was the same dream I had a couple of nights back.

But is this really a dream?

'Klyde." The same female voice called.

I looked around and failed to spot another person. This place was barren with presence. I was alone.

'Klyde.'

"What do you want from me?" I asked.

The clear, sunless world dimmed. The vast skies turned into a dark shade of blue. As if it was the battle of the twilight, the moment just before dusk.

"Hello."

I turned around and saw a small pale girl sitting on a Victorian-styled chair and a circular table in front of her.

"You're not the one that called me," I said.

"I certainly am not," she said with sass. Her demeanor reminded me of Avery. It was as if they were–

"Are you a vampire too?" I asked her, walking over in her direction.

"Somewhat."

"What are you then?"

"Something you don't have to know yet."

I looked at her dead in the eye. "What do you want from me?"

"Me? Nothing, you something." The child rubbed her chest like she was saying something.

"What?"

"You possess something you shouldn't have," she said. "It has a potent curse, even suppressing your wolf who was desperate to tell you."

"Suppressing what?" I scrunched my face in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

"I am forbidden to do so." She rubbed her chest again and breathed heavily. "You have little time left before you're due. The children of the Destined will arise and die if the curse of the Force of Green and Purple is not stopped."

"What do you mean?" I was getting annoyed. They're all talking in words I could barely comprehend.

"Save your friend. And save yourself."

I was pulled down from the sinking marble floor like the last time. The last thing I saw was the little girl smiling before I fell into the pits of darkness and woke up to the sound of screaming.

"Babe! Klyde!"

"Wake up, baby!"

I woke up to the voices of my mates.

Opening my eyes, I saw that I was held in their arms while we were on the floor.

"Don't scare us like that we told you," Aaron scolded, kissing my forehead as he did. Stephen followed after Aaron.

I held my head, feeling the dizziness settle in. "What happened?"

"Alicia passed out and you followed," Stephen said. "We were so scared."

"Where is Alicia?"

"In the Pack Hospital. We didn't know what in the hell happened," Aaron grimaced. "One second she was casting a suppressing spell on Erebus, the next thing we know, she coughed blood."

"Wait," I held Aaron's arm. "Did you just say a suppressing spell?"

Aaron nodded. "What does it do?"

"Basically Erebus's thirst for mating would be stopped," Stephen explained.

"Can it be used for someone to stop talking about something too?" I asked.

They looked at each other and nodded. "Is there anything wrong?" Aaron said curiously.

They helped me to the couch to sit. People have gathered around us in worry. Their Luna just passed out again while being pregnant.

Not a very good sign.

"Are you okay now?" Aaron asked but I shook my head.

"Yes, but I saw something in my dream," I confessed. I told them about the child and the kiosk that they already know.

Every bit of the conversation I had with the vampire child that I could remember, I told them. They know what to do with the information much better than I.

"There is something that usually comes with the suppression to talk," Aaron thought. "It's high-level magic therefore only a few can use it. It's called a 'Penalty'."

"Penalty?"

"Right," Stephen chimed. "If you break the Silence Suppression Spell, there comes a penalty. Usually one with…"

Stephen trailed off and looked at Aaron who shared the same shock in his face.

"Why? What happens then?"

"They will cough blood and until the spell is lifted or broken, their health would deplete and they would–"

"Die," I cut Stephen off. We dashed towards the medical wing where the hospital was at. Margaret had already called Christina and she said that she was on the way.

"Where is Alicia?" I asked Charlie who just walked out.

"I'm calling the Wiccan," he said. "This is an extraordinary spell that medicine couldn't cure. It's a Penalty Curse."

"We were right," I breathed out.

I held my head and tried to remember what the child said.

Suppression.

The Destined.

Force of Green and Purple.

Somehow, my hands lifted their own. I remembered the woman who held her chest and the child who rubbed hers. I patted my chest and my whole world stopped.

My hands trembled as I felt the familiar engravings of the white crescent moon.

"What in the hell?!" I yelled.

"Baby, why?" Stephen asked.

I couldn't move my body in shock. Why am I still wearing Olivia's necklace?! I had forgotten that I was wearing it all this time.

"T-The necklace…"

Their forehead crinkled, "That's the necklace you always wear."

'Their memories have been altered,' Klint said. 'At least I can talk this much.'

"T-This was given to me by Olivia when we first met, remember?" I stuttered.

Their eyes widen in surprise, the curse on them was lifted.

My mates growled and both reached out for the necklace.

'No, stop them!'

A gust of spherical purple wind blasted from the necklace, blasting them both away.

"Gobeli nacrosus sumporum!"

A purple light that was shaped like a small hand crept to the necklace. It wrapped itself around the crescent pendant a pair of hands broke the strap from behind me.

"Bryce!" I cheered.

"I just felt this ominous aura," he said. "Are your mates okay?"

As if on cue, they walked over to me and hugged me tightly.

"F*ck," Stephen cursed. "Now we know why she always knows where you are."

"That b*tch," Aaron growled.

Bryce cursed from beside us. The necklace was lifted in the air, broken into pieces.

"This isn't just a tracker," he said.

My vision got blurry for the second time today. I felt like my head was spinning and my energy was sucked out from me.

"Olivia has been feeding off your powers." Was the last thing I heard before I was once again swallowed by the darkness.

'Klyde.'

'Stay strong, my child.'
