Happiest Wolves On Earth

< Klyde >

The entire room was silent before a series of gasps escaped everyone's lips.

"What?" I asked them but they only shook their heads, as if contemplating what to do next.

"That was so stupid," Aaron muttered. "Sorry babe."

A sigh of relief escaped my lips. "For a moment there, I thought you two were serious."

"Don't you want to marry us?" Stephen pouted. "Don't you love us?"

I quirked my brow at him and gave him a "really?" look.

"No, I meant…" I trailed off and held their hands. "I love both of you and I really wanna get married but let's relax for a minute, okay?"

“Besides, if you really wanna marry me. You should’ve prepared a ring,” I teased.

The two looked at each other and then at Margaret who might've said something to them through the link. I shook my head and asked to rest to which they agreed on.

A soft smell of bacon wafted throughout the room. I opened my eyes to be met my two gorgeous men sit in front of me.

"Hey," Aaron greeted. "Good morning, love."

"Good morning, babe," Stephen followed. They gave me a peck on the lips and placed a tray of breakfast in my lap.

"Eat," Aaron said. "Stephen and I have to go to town to take care of something. Margaret and Brandon will come up to watch over you when we go out."

"Avery's in Haverhill," Stephen informed. "He might stay there for a couple more days until his succession is settled."

I nodded and thanked them before they go. It was weird since the schedule didn't say anything about a meeting or a business today.

Before my thoughts could get any cloudier, a knock on the door interrupted me. Margaret came in with Brandon, carrying a plate of cookies.

"Yey!" I cheered like a child when Margaret handed me the plate. "Let's go to the living room."

They paused for a moment before understanding. My mates don't really like having other scents in the bed, especially another male. Even their family members were off-limits.

Drama queens, I know.

"Your cookies are always the best," I told Margaret. We were lounging in the living room, crouching on the sofa while watching a TV series about supernatural things.

"By the way, how are you feeling?" Margaret asked.

I smiled, "I'm okay. I'm not knocking on death’s door right now, so it’s fine right?”

Margaret chuckled along with Brandon, “Pregnancy suits you.”

I snorted and chuckled, “I'm almost due too. Just a couple of weeks more.”

“You think you can handle children?” Margaret asked.

There was a pause before I replied, “I handled being isolated for over a decade. Being a father shouldn’t become a problem.”

“Speaking of daddies…” Margaret trailed off, wiggling her eyes at Brandon. “I never expected you to be the receiving end.”

Brandon scoffed, “Who said that I was receiving?”

“So, you're not?” Margaret teased.

“Well, I do but– hey!”

The three of us erupted in a fit of laughter. We talked for a few more minutes until something was irking in my mind. Klint was still resting since he used up his powers so that Olivia wouldn’t harvest all of mine.

He knew the Penalty about it too. That was why he couldn’t talk about it. With Alicia, we could heal but if it was a wolf that’s hurt, it’s going to be hard.

“Are you okay?” Margaret asked when she felt the discomfort I am in.

“Yeah,” I replied and pouted. “Where are Aaron and Stephen anyway?”

They looked at each other before Brandon answered, “They have to be somewhere.”

I narrowed their eyes at them. “Okay.”

We decided to refill with our snacks in the packed kitchen. The kitchen in the suite ran out of cucumbers and Nutella, so we had to get those.

“Hey!” Avery cheered, running towards us.

“Oh, Goddess I thought you were at Haverhill Castle?” I asked him. I placed my arms on his shoulder and pushed him a bit. “You have grown taller!”

“I know!” he cheered. “I think the mating process has something to do with it. I have two so I just don’t wish I’ll turn into an oldie.”

I chuckled at his remark, “So, why are you here?”

“Oh, I'm…” he trailed off and looked at Margaret who was behind me. I looked over and she was awkwardly smiling. “I'm just visiting. I miss you guys!”

“I miss you too,” I told him. “You know–”

“You're so f*cking stupid!”

We all snapped our heads when we heard Aaron yell from outside. I instantly got out and saw my mates with red angry faces.

“I told you I'm sorry!” Stephen argued. “Why don’t you ever listen to me, Aaron? Just once.”

“This is why! You're acting like a kid again,” Aaron spat. “Why do you always refuse to grow up?”

Stephen pushed Aaron on the chest and the latter pushed him back.

“Guys, stop!” I ran and got in between them. “What in the hell is happening?”

They didn’t answer. The pack members were starting to crowd all around us.

‘You both, explain now!’ I yelled at the link.

Everyone started to get uncomfortably closer. They had the same stoic expression on their faces that was scaring me a bit.

“Babe?” Aaron whispered.

“What?”

I gasped after seeing them get on one knee. They fetched a gold velvet box from their pockets.

“What are you doing?”

Aaron cleared his throat, “Klyde, these past few weeks have been nothing but an amazing journey.”

“We had the best times of our lives. Even more than the years, we spent before you combined,” Stephen added.

“You have been the best mate any alpha – or two – could ever hope for.”

“Every day is a blast. Every day is exhilarating. Every day is a surprise.”

“We’re just too stupid to realize that we just don’t want to be mated with you just in our physical bodies.”

“The wedding ceremony ties us with a deeper bond. We can’t believe a tree maiden had to make us realize that.”

“We want to treat you right, and part of treating you right is putting a ring on your finger.”

“Part of treating you right is adding our surnames after yours.”

“That is why, I Aaron Hofmann…”

“And I, Stephen Corrigan…”

“Would be the happiest wolves on earth…”

“If we would receive your ‘yes’.”

They chorused, “Klyde, will you marry us?”

They opened their boxes and I gasped at the sight.

Two thin white gold rings with triangle-shaped yellow diamond stones each. I could see that these rings would be connected, and the triangle stone would form a diamond.

I paused for a bit, processing everything that’s happening.

“Why am I still thinking? Yes!”
