Chapter 34 - Queen?

Akirexer sat in the shade of a tree as she was washing. She was surprised to see Naian suddenly arrive home. This was because it was still early in the afternoon and Naian usually came home in the evening with Sharumez. She got very concerned to see him home.

"Naian, is everything okay?" she worriedly asked him.

"Everything is alright. I just came to pick up some papers that I forgot." he replied with a smile.

Naian got into the house and headed straight for his room. He hastily opened the door and found Emelinia napping on the bed. Without disturbing her sleep, he closed the door and went straight to the closet where he looked for Janala's contract.

He thought he left it in the closet but he was baffled that it wasn't there. Naian paused and held his chin. He couldn't remember where else he could have left the papers. Due to his lack of sleep, he suspected he put them somewhere absent mindedly.

Emelinia heard the little sounds Naian was making and woke up. She sat up and watched him look for the papers in the drawers. Naian went to the headboard on his side and he pulled the drawer. Emelinia saw the frustration on his face and she wasn't sure on whether to ask him what the matter was.

Naian got up and went back to the closet to search again. As Emelinia watched Naian search, she thought about the dream she just had. It wasn't a nightmare but it felt so real like her nightmares. The thing about the dream was that it was very strange and she couldn't make anything of it.

In the midst of his frustration, Naian saw Emelinia looking tensed on the bed. He felt remorseful for having woken her up. Just like him she didn't get enough rest and she had to get up earlier than him to do the house chores with Akirexer. Emelinia was so hard working that it even puzzled him that she took a nap. He remembered how she refused to nap the other day but instead did all the chores alone.

"I am sorry for waking you up." Naian apologized. "I just can't seem to find a contract that Janala is supposed to sign." he explained.

"I picked up a contract in the living room this morning. I put it on top of the cupboard." Emelinia answered much to Naian's delight.

Naian thanked her and was about to head out when he saw that Emelinia still had a tensed look on her face. He began to worry that perhaps she had another bad dream. He walked over to her and sat on the bed. Emelinia could see the concern in his eyes and she smiled back at him assuring him that she didn't have another bad dream.

"What was the dream about?" Naian asked her.

"It was a strange dream. I am still puzzled by it." Emelinia told Naian. "In the dream, I was at the royal castle waiting to see the King. A guard approached me and escorted me to the throne." Emelinia narrated. "This is where the crazy part is." Emelinia breathed in. "Instead of King Raglan, I found Sharaina sitting on the throne and she had a crown on her head. On her left was a Vexa Green reptile and standing in front of her was a maroon haired female warrior. Sharaina was talking to her when I just entered. When she saw me, she smiled at me and the dream cut." Emelinia finished narrating.

Naian was left speechless. He wondered why Emelinia kept having strange dreams. For one thing the Vexa Green Reptiles were a species that kept to themselves. They never formed alliances with anyone and they refused to mingle with others. Sharaina also wasn't royalty so what would she be doing with a crown on her head?

Naian chuckled. "That was a weird dream you had there Emelinia. So basically in your dream Sharaina was married into the royal family." he said.

Emelinia shook her head sideways. "You do not understand Naian. She wasn't sitting on Queen Lavila's seat but on King Raglan's golden throne." she emphasized and he raised his eye brows.

"You mean that she was the supreme ruler of Dark Star in your dream?" Naian asked her and she nodded her head. "Our Sharaina was the queen of Dark Star?" He asked her again and she nodded her head. "My little sister?" He asked one last time and Emelinia nodded her head. Naian laughed. "Okay now the dream is starting to sound laughable."

Emelinia laughed too. "Now that I think about it you are right." She got up. "Let me go and get the papers you need." she said.

King Raglan's birthday had finally arrived. The whole kingdom of Dark Star was in a celebratory mood. Servants in the castle were seen happily preparing for the feast that was going to happen in a few hours. Not only were they happy because it was King Raglan's birthday but also because Lavila was no longer in the castle to torment them.

Despite the happiness and excitement in the air, King Raglan sat depressed and alone in his room. Broken portraits of him and Lavila were scattered all over the floor along with broken wine bottles. He had been drowning himself in alcohol ever since he caught Lavila red handed with another man.

He still couldn't believe that Lavila could be so heartless and wicked. He felt like a man who had lost his soul to a woman so heartless. He felt so awful that he wasn't in the mood to celebrate his birthday.

Akirexer, Emelinia and Alainara stood in a queue at the royal postal service with gifts for King Raglan. As soon as they gave their gifts of gold and silver, they made their way to Jenu's house. Jenu was throwing a small party at his house in celebration of the festival. He had invited Sharumez and his family. Sharumez and Naian had already gone to the house.

Chatter and laughter could be heard at the dormitories in the Warrior Academy. The students wore their best clothes and they were excited to spend their day doing the fun things they had set up for the day. Sharaina still felt a little sad that she wasn't going to be with her family that year but the thought of spending the day with Light made her feel better.

She went outside to sit with Naraygeous and Zentz. Lalina, who was sitting on a bench under the shade of a tree scowled at her when she saw her. The other girls who were with Lalina glared at Sharaina. Yolin noticed this and she rolled her eyes. She didn't understand why Lalina hated Sharaina so much.

"Gosh I can't stand that girl." Lalina said.

Yolin took out a cigarette and lit it. "Why don't you like her?" She asked Lalina after a puff of smoke.

"She is always hovering around Naraygeous." Lalina answered and Yolin was stunned. "I have been trying to get his attention but she is always in my way."

Yolin knew that Sharaina had no interest whatsoever in Naraygeous and she laughed. Lalina scowled at Yolin laughing.

"I know that you can't understand how I feel because you have never fallen in love before and you don't care for romance. You shouldn't laugh at me for feeling this way about Naraygeous." Lalina said, annoyed.

"Oh don't be so dramatic. I am laughing because Sharaina has no interest in Naraygeous. The two of them are just childhood friends and moreover, she has a boyfriend." Yolin explained and laughed a little more.

"So she isn't my rival?" Lalina asked with bright eyes and Yolin nodded her head. "Great! Let me see if I can get Naraygeous to agree to spend the day with me."

Lalina took out a mirror from her bag and when she saw that her make-up was still okay, she took out the ribbon in her hair and it fell down to her shoulders gracefully. With a wink, Lalina left her friends and walked over to where Naraygeous was. As she drew closer she noticed that Naraygeous and Sharaina were arguing and she halted.

"Sharaina you are not seriously planning on spending the day with that sneaky bastard of a boyfriend of yours!" Naraygeous yelled at Sharaina.

"I will not repeat myself Naraygeous!" Sharaina yelled back at him.

"No I will not accept defeat so easily. I challenge you right here and right now to a wrestling match. If you win, I will give up and let that jerk have you. But if I win, you will belong to me." Naraygeous pointed at Sharaina.

Lalina's world came crumbling down when she heard this. No one noticed her frowning because they were all excited to see Naraygeous and Sharaina wrestle. They all started to gather around them and soon enclosed them in a circle. Naraygeous smirked at Sharaina who smirked back at him. Zentz pulled up his sleeves, he was going to play referee.

"I accept your challenge Naraygeous." Sharaina answered and everyone cheered.

Naraygeous laughed. "What used to happen in our childhood won't happen again I can assure you that." He said and took off his shirt revealing his well built masculine body with abs that got the girls shrieking in excitement.

Sharaina took off her earrings and tossed them to Zentz. She then tied her hair into a ponytail. She bent down low and smacked her hands together. Naraygeous came charging at her and the two locked hands. Naraygeous turned Sharaina slammed her to the ground. He stood up and looked at her get back to her feet. Sharaina brushed the sand out of her hair with a wide smile on her face.

She speared Naraygeous to the ground and he landed with a thud. Naraygeous attempted to get up but Sharaina kicked him in the chest. Unfortunately for her, Naraygeous held onto her leg and he turned it over trapping her in a painful lock. Sharaina crawled over with great difficulty to one of the people who formed the circle and she held his leg.

"Let go of me I have caught the rope." she huffed.

Zentz forced Naraygeous to let go of her. Sharaina went after Naraygeous, held his neck and choke slammed him to the ground. She then got his right hand and pulled it while her legs were wrapped around it. Naraygeous groaned in pain and the crowd got hysterical.

"Tap out now or I will break your hand!" Sharaina told him.

Captain Shrave was on his roof top watching everything. He decided not to intervene because friendly sparring matches like that were good for the students. It was another way of physical training.

Naraygeous couldn't bear the pain anymore and he tapped out. Sharaina let go of him and Zentz raised her hand declaring her as the winner. Everyone cheered including Lalina. She was really hoping that Naraygeous would lose.

Naraygeous got up and held his painful hand. He smiled at Sharaina and Zentz who were laughing so hard. Sharaina gave Naraygeous a pat on his shoulder and made her way to the dormitory. Lalina rushed over to Naraygeous and held his sore hand. Naraygeous and Zentz were taken aback by that.

"Are you okay?" she sweetly asked him.

"Um yeah I am okay." he said to her with a confused look on his face.

"Would you mind if I massaged your hand?" she asked him in a flirty tone and he grinned.

"I wouldn't mind that one bit sweetheart." he answered back and she blushed. "Come with me to my dormitory." he said to her and left.

Zentz was left shaking his head sideways with a smirk on his face.

Sharaina had just finished having her shower when she changed into the dress her family got her. It had long and tight lacy sleeves. The dress hugged Sharaina's curves perfectly and went slightly above her knees. It had an attached flared lace cover that flowed from the waist to her ankles.

Sharaina held her dress up as she made her way back to the dorm in flip flops. Her leg hurt a little but it was bearable. She cursed at Naraygeous for nearly breaking her leg. Sharaina arrived at the dorm and was stunned to see Lalina massaging Naraygeous on his bed.

Lalina threw a glare at Sharaina and she just smirked. Naraygeous smiled at how beautiful she looked in her dress. He stopped Lalina from massaging him and she did not like it one bit. Sharaina almost chocked as she tried her best to hold in her laughter when she realized that Lalina hated her because of Naraygeous.

"You are looking pretty Sharaina." Naraygeous complimented her. "Your boyfriend is lucky." He said and Lalina scowled.

"Thanks Naraygeous." Sharaina replied with a grin and opened her wardrobe.

It had a mirror so she used it to apply makeup. Sharaina powdered her face, straightened her eye lashes with mascara and applied maroon lipstick. She neatly worked on her eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. When she was done, she put on the choker Light got her. She let her hair flow down her back. Sharaina took off her flip flops and put on her new heels.

Sharaina closed the wardrobe, giving Naraygeous and Lalina a clear view of her. Naraygeous was stricken by her beauty whereas Lalina looked at her shocked. Sharaina didn't notice their stares because she was busy filling up her purse.

Is that the White Embrace? Is it the one that an anonymous buyer bought before I could? It seems like it is. It must be the one because only one of its kind was made. Lalina felt overwhelmed with shock.

Sharaina faced up and saw Lalina looking at her choker. "You like? It was gift." she said with a smile.

Lalina's eyes stretched, "Why would anyone buy this uncultured middle-class girl jewelry worth 50 000?" she thought.

"Well, see you later." Sharaina stood up to leave.

"Kindly tell that jerk that I am saying that he is a lucky sneaky bastard." Naraygeous teased to Lalina's annoyance.

Sharaina picked up her purse. "I'll let you tell him that yourself." She lifted her middle finger up as she walked away and left Naraygeous laughing.

Naraygeous looked at her ass as she walked and Lalina felt irked. She slapped him at the back of his head and angrily started to get off the bed. To her surprise, Naraygeous pulled her back and held her his arms. She struggled to break free but when she gazed into his eyes, she froze at how enchanting they were. It was as though she was trapped in a spell. Naraygeous smiled and winked at her.

"CAPTAIN SHRAVE!"

Naraygeous immediately let go of Lalina in panic as he frantically looked around only to see Zentz laughing so hard at him.

"Be careful man. You don't want the captain to catch you doing anything funny in here." Zentz sat down as his laughter reduced to giggles.

"You almost gave me a heart attack. You are a stupid son of a bitch you know that?" Naraygeous laughed and held Lalina again.

Lalina felt so content to be in his arms. She was feeling even more happy because she didn't have to tolerate Sharaina's suffocating presence. She relaxed in the warm embrace of Naraygeous as she listened to him talk with Zentz.
