Mrs. Plurinsia smiled brightly at her students. This time around, her hair wasn't in pig tails but it was combed straight. Her glasses were hanging on her neck as she laughed softly. The peaceful aura around her made the students feel at home.
Mrs. Plurinsia decided that she would teach the lesson of the day outside in the green fields. Everyone sat on the grass while she sat on a chair with her legs crossed. In her hand was a text book that she occasionally read out to the students.
"Now I'm sure that you all remember about what we talked about in yesterday's lesson concerning gamarax. You know that gamarax is in us and all around us. Today I want you to sense the gamarax in you." she said. "I want all of you to close your eyes and relax. Breath slowly and focus on yourself right at this moment."
The students closed their eyes and did what was told of them.
"You must be feeling a cool breeze inside of you. That breeze is your gamarax." she further said with a smile.
Some of the students became excited because it was their first time to feel their gamarax. Others felt distraught because they couldn't feel it. One of those was Sharaina. No matter how hard she tried to concentrate, she couldn't because the memory of King Raglan kept flashing in her mind.
She couldn't erase the picture of his peaceful gaze and bloody mouth as he looked right at her.
She opened her eyes and looked around at the successful students. They motivated her to try again but ---Raglan's bloody smile flashed vividly in her mind.
Damn it! she cursed internally for having failed again.
Sharaina felt frustrated with her failed attempts and opened her eyes. She looked at Naraygeous who seemed to be doing just fine and Zentz who succeeded as well. Yolin and Lalina appeared to have succeeded too.
Sharaina sighed and rested her head on her hand. She ignored Lalina gloating at her. Mrs. Plurinsia noticed what was happening with her and she winked at Sharaina. Sharaina awkwardly smiled back and when Mrs. Plurinsia diverted her eyes away from her, she felt relieved.
"Alright, congratulations to those of you who have managed to feel the gamarax within you. As for those who haven't, please do not give up. Keep on trying until you get it right.
It is important for you to be able to feel your own gamarax because it comes in handy when you are opening portals or activating your weapons. How can you transfer your gamarax into one spot if you cannot feel it?"
Mrs. Plurinsia warmly said and stood up.
"I was going to teach you how to feel the gamarax around you but I won't. I can't do so if other students haven't known how to feel their own gamarax yet. So for now, we will end here. However, you must all know how to do so in the two days. Class is dismissed." she said and clapped once.

Emelinia was washing the dishes in the kitchen while Akirexer cooked. Akirexer was talking to her but she couldn't make sense of what she was saying because all she could think about was Channy.
Naian didn't say anything about what happened in Vanimaq to Sharumez and Akirexer. He also didn't talk about it with Emelinia. She saw how the whole thing troubled him but she couldn't bring herself to talk about it either.
Emelinia wanted Erny out of her mother's life but that wasn't up to her. She hoped that Channy was going to come to her senses and throw him out of her life.
Emelinia thought about what Channy said about Naian one day losing his patience and seeking sex from someone else. She just couldn't allow herself to think about Naian in those lines because he had been so considerate to her so far.
She knew that he wasn't in love with her but he still treated her with respect. Not once did he overstep his boundaries with her but stuck to his word.
So far he had been nothing but a good husband to her. Even if he wasn't in love with her, she felt very fortunate to have him as her husband.
Emelinia paused when she thought about the possibility of Naian cheating on her and her heart sank. She heard Akirexer leave the kitchen and she closed the tap. She slowly sat down deep in thought.
Why is this bothering me so much? I know that he isn't in love with me. Him cheating should be expected because of how we got married. Would it even be considered cheating? No, I just can't stand the thought of him with someone else.
Akirexer returned to the kitchen and was baffled by the dirty dishes in the sink. She tilted her head at Emelinia frowning at the table with her chin on her palm. Emelinia met her eyes and abruptly got up to continue doing the dishes. She heaved in relief when she heard Akirexer leave again.
I think I am falling for Naian. she smiled to herself.

Reena was sitting in her room waiting for her dinner to be brought to her. She had just woken up from a long nap. As she forced her sore body to sit up, she thought back to how she was attended to by gamarax manipulators the moment she arrived home. Her maids helped her bath and change into fresh clothes.
She had spent all afternoon alone in her room bandaged up with her broken right hand resting on a pillow.
Her nanny would bring in Quix whenever he wanted to feed and would take him back to his room as soon as the feeding was done.
That was the only interaction Reena got. She ordered her maids to keep Waxx away from her room because she didn't want to see her in that condition.
The door opened and Sevilon walked in with baby Quix in his arms who was crying and whining. He sat down beside Reena and gave him to her. Reena struggled to position herself properly so as to breastfeed.
Sevilon moved closer and helped her. Soon, the baby calmed down and fed peacefully with whimpers in between his suckles. There was awkward silence between the two of them. Reena wasn't expecting him home but she was happy that he was.
She wasn't, however, certain if she could express her happiness because she still feared that he was angry with her. Reena opted to instead kept it to herself and only speak when spoken to.
"How are you doing?" he broke the silence.
"My body is still aching but I'll be fine." she replied. "I wasn't expecting you tonight."
"I finished up at the office and decided to come and check on you." he explained.
Reena was delighted to hear that but she struggled to stop herself from smiling. She kept her eyes on their baby who was pinching her breast as he fed.
"I will never forgive Lavila for what she has done today." he icily said and she looked up.
"Huh?"
"If Meelzib didn't step in I don't know what I would have done to her in my anger." he shot a stern look at her and she swallowed hard. "I don't want you to be friends with her anymore." he ordered and she obediently nodded her head.
A maid knocked on their door and Sevilon told her to enter. She came in with a tray of food for Reena. She nervously placed the food on the head board and left closing the door behind her.
Reena looked at the food longingly because she felt so hungry. Quix was still feeding so she had to wait a little longer before she could eat too. Sevilon noticed the way she looked at the food and picked it up.
He spooned some of it and held out the spoon to Reena who looked at him surprised. Without a word Reena opened her mouth and he put it in. When she finished chewing, he fed her again. This continued until all the food was finished.
Reena felt warm with happiness because Sevilon had fed her despite being angry with her. She always loved it when he took care of her like that.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you or King Raglan about her affairs. It's just that I couldn't tell any of you because I didn't want to get her into trouble. I instead warned her against what she was doing." she desperately explained.
"It's okay you don't have to explain yourself. I am not angry with you anymore. I am just feeling depressed because I have lost my friend." he gave her a faint smile, picked Quix and got up to burp him.
"A letter arrived for you when I got back from the castle. It is in the drawer." she pointed.
Sevilon patted the baby's back as he walked to the drawer. He opened it and pulled out the sealed envelope. To his surprise, the envelop didn't have the senders name.
Sevilon sat down on the couch and held the baby in one hand while the other hand had the letter. He tore the seal open and pulled out the letter. Reena watched his relaxed face suddenly turn pale with shock. She looked on, itching with curiosity as he read the letter.
My dearest friend Sevilon,
I write this letter to you with a sad heart because I can feel myself dying. Meelzib has been poisoning me. I only discovered this after I had consumed too much of natrifin in my wine. It'll only be a matter of time now before I leave you forever.
When I discovered that I had been poisoned, I went to the council of elders so that I can at least know the fate of my people after I am gone. They told me that my people will suffer greatly under the reign of Meelzib.
Sevilon, they, however, assured me that my people won't suffer for long because a new ruler will emerge. This ruler will be one of the greatest leaders Dark Star has ever had. She will liberate Dark Star and restore its peace and harmony. She isn't of royal blood but she will take the throne by force.
It won't be long before the Council of Elders tell this prophecy to Meelzib. Once he discovers this, he will hunt her down. You and Ouman must find her before he does and do all you can to protect her. As she is now, she cannot defeat Meelzib. She will need time to get stronger and when she is ready, she will fulfill her destiny.
The Council of Elders told me that she will be at the feast in the castle. They told me that she will be the last person I will see. I will be happy to see the only hope for my people before I die.
I know you are under the oath of the throne so my request is putting you in a dilemma. My friend, you should understand that by protecting the future queen, you are protecting the throne for she is the destined ruler. Please don't do this for my sake but for the sake of my people.
Take care of yourself and your family. Farewell.
Yours,
Raglan.
Sevilon dropped the letter to the floor when he finished reading it. He covered his mouth with his hand and stared into space with his eyes wide open. The playful giggles of his son did not disturb his thoughts. Reena got worried and tried to get out of bed but she couldn't move.
"Sevilon... what is the matter?" she asked him, concerned, but he didn't respond.
'Meelzib, you will one day fall so hard that you will not rise up again.' King Raglan's last words rang in his head.
"I must find her." he resolved.
****
Sharaina tossed and turned in her bed. She couldn't get herself to sleep because she still couldn't get her mind off King Raglan. She got out of bed and immediately noticed that Yolin wasn't in her bed. Naraygeous and Zentz were fast asleep like everyone else. Sharaina quietly walked out of the dorm and spotted Yolin smoking alone outside. She looked like she was deep in thought.
"Looks like I am not the only one having trouble sleeping."
Sharaina said and Yolin smiled at her. Yolin handed her a cigarette.
"No thanks, I don't smoke." Sharaina declined and Yolin shrugged her shoulders.
"What is keeping you up?" Yolin asked Sharaina.
"I witnessed the death of King Raglan and it has messed me up." Sharaina answered with a sigh.
"Yeah, that can give anyone sleepless nights." Yolin took a pull and breathed in the smoke. "I just felt the urge to smoke so I came out here."
"I'm off to take a walk. Perhaps the cool air is what I need." Sharaina stretched herself.
"Yes, perhaps." Yolin replied with a puff of smoke.
Sharaina headed for the plain fields. She found absolutely no one there. She sat down and folded her legs. With her hands together, she breathed in.
'I might as well try to feel my gamarax now.' she thought.
Sharaina felt the wind blow on her. She felt her hair brush up against her face as the wind blew it. She listened to the distant faint voices of the guards.
Sharaina remembered that Mrs. Plurinsia told them that they had to focus on themselves and nothing else. The moment she thought of herself, King Raglan's face came into her mind. She shook her head as she brushed it aside and thought deeper.
The more she thought, the more she realized that Mrs. Plurinsia meant that she should focus on her body and not her thoughts.
Sharaina focused and heard her own heart beating. She focused more and heard her blood rushing. Sharaina focused deeper and there it was---her gamarax!
She found it and she was amazed with the feeling. It felt like a cool breeze blowing inside her. Sharaina sensed a different kind of gamarax.
She realized that it was the gamarax in the air around her. She stretched her hand and twirled her fingers slowly. She saw gamarax appear on the tips of her fingers. It looked like bright red vapor. Sharaina played with it a little and she released it into the air once more.
