Chapter 41 - Two Marks

After a heavy down pour of rain, Lavila stepped out of a carriage. She had a proud grin as she looked at Commander Sevilon's gate. She lifted her puffy dress up with the help of maidens who kept it off the ground.

Her guards cleared a path for her making sure that she didn't step into a paddle of water. Reena's servants became terrified when they saw her and they fearfully bowed down to her. None of them dared to look her in the face.

Lavila made her way inside the mansion and to her delight she found Reena in the living room. Reena was horrified to see Lavila there. She began to wish that Sevilon did not return to Earth so soon. Lavila, as usual, gave herself a seat. She looked at Reena in her bandages and she gasped.

"Oh my goodness what happened to you?" she asked as though she was surprised. "You look terrible. What kind of animal did this to you?" she pouted but Reena remained silent. "I missed you so I decided to come and visit you. I have been feeling low since yesterday and it is all Meelzib's fault. I am still upset with him for what he did yesterday. He disrupted our fun." Lavila chuckled.

Reena was feeling so disgusted with Lavila but she didn't dare to show it. She instead sat quietly while she listened to her speak.

Waxx suddenly came into the living room and when he saw Lavila, he ran to his mother and shielded her with his hands spread apart. Lavila was puzzled with the glare Waxx gave her.

Reena felt tensed and tried to pull Waxx away but he refused. He furiously pointed at Lavila who just raised her eyebrow.

"What are you doing here? Have you come to hurt my mama again?" he angrily asked her.

Lavila chuckled. "Oh no sweetie. Your mama is my friend."

"No she is not! She is not your friend anymore." Waxx angrily told her and Reena became even more tensed.

"That's enough Waxx! Go to your room!" Reena ordered him.

Waxx stomped his feet. "No mama, someone needs to tell this horrible woman that no one wants to be friends with her because she is a mean and terrible person. You were the only one that smiled at her when she came here but she hurt you. She is a bad person and a bad friend. I hate her!" Waxx screamed.

Lavila was astonished with what Waxx had just said. Reena raised her hand and slapped him. Waxx glared at her with tears in his eyes and a red cheek. He ran upstairs crying. Reena turned to Lavila and for the first time, fear left her.

"Do not think for a second that I slapped my son for you. I slapped him for his sake. He has to know that he can never speak like that to his elders no matter the circumstances." Reena said and Lavila got up stunned.

"What?" Lavila muttered in disbelief.

"He was right when he said that you and I are not friends any more. Sevilon has ordered me to cut my friendship with you and that is what I'm going to do." Reena bravely admitted.

Lavila chuckled. "So you fear your husband more than you fear me?" she darkly asked.

"No Lavila, unlike you, I respect my husband. I will not jeopardize my marriage for your sake."

Lavila scoffed. "Since when did you start loving your husband? The last time I checked, you were always after mine."

This time Reena scoffed. "It's so easy for you to think so low of me because of what you do. Just so you know, I stopped hoping for a future with Raglan when you won the pageant... oops when you cheated your way to the win."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. I know that it was you who spiked my drink. Because of you, I failed to perform my song and you won by default."

Lavila faced away angrily.

"Yeah, think about this next time you decide to accuse me."

Lavila shot a glare at her. "I can see you have gained some courage. I guess the time in the dungeon has toughened you up."

"No, it helped me see that this friendship is one sided and completely useless therefore I want no part in it." Reena answered back coldly.

Lavila scowled at her. "Let's see how long you will be able to hide behind your husband." she threatened and walked away.

Sevilon sat at his desk deep in thought. He looked at the letter King Raglan wrote to him and he rubbed his forehead. He had read it at least ten times. It was all too much for him. He wondered where he was even going to start from looking for the mysterious woman destined to be queen.

He had sent his messengers to call Commander Ouman. He felt the need to tell him as soon as possible. As he thought about all that, his vice commander, Holan, was reading a report to him.

"I am sorry vice commander but I haven't heard anything you have said. I have a lot of things on my mind." Sevilon said.

"It's alright Sir. I'll just leave the report here so that you can read it later." Holan got up. "Excuse me."

Ouman walked past the visibly upset Holan in the hallway. He went straight into Sevilon's office and closed the door behind him. Sevilon got up and greeted him before finally offering him a seat.

"I saw your charming vice commander down the hall." Ouman laughed.

"He is upset that I had ignored him while he was in here. He is a short tempered one."

"Anyway why did you call me here all of a sudden?" Ouman asked.

Sevilon passed the letter to him and he raised one eye brow before proceeding to read it. Ouman got up in shock as he read the letter with shaky hands. He looked at Sevilon with wide eyes and looked back at the letter. He finally sat down slowly with so much shock in his eyes.

"Sevilon what is this?" he whispered.

"I was equally shocked when I read it. This is Raglan's hand writing therefore it is legit." Sevilon answered back.

"So that girl he was looking at will be the future queen?" Ouman said and Sevilon was astonished.

"You mean you saw her?" he asked him, nearly getting off his seat.

"Yes I did. She was with some students from the Gamarax Manipulator academy." Ouman answered.

"Does this mean that she could be a student at the Great Academy?" Sevilon hopefully asked.

"No I don't think so. She isn't of age. She probably knew those students and she tagged along with them." Ouman said. "But if I were to see her again, I would be able to recognize her. Only thing I can say is that she is a tall, blonde girl between the ages of 75 and 80."

Sevilon stood up in frustration. "A lot of young girls meet that profile. It is going to be difficult to find her but she just has to be found."

"Yes we will do all we can to find her. I can't stand Meelzib." Ouman said.

"For now it is best we kept this to ourselves." Sevilon suggested. "We will have to get our hands on the guest list. The sooner we find out who those students are, the sooner we find her."

Later on that day

Commander Sevilon was astonished to discover that King Meelzib torched everything that was used during the celebration of King Raglan's birthday at the castle. The guest list wasn't spared. He felt frustrated with the whole thing because the guest list was the only lead that they had so far.

He wanted to ask more questions to the servants at the castle but he stopped himself because he knew that he would draw suspicion to himself. He couldn't risk that at all especially when he still wasn't sure about whether King Meelzib was told of the prophecy.

4 Months Later

Sharumez sat alone outside in the shade as he watched Naian help Alainara with her homework on the porch. It was the weekend so neither him nor Naian went to work.

Akirexer came gave him a glass of juice and went back inside the house. He looked towards the gate and saw Emelinia coming back from the market.

Sharumez drank his juice with his eyes still on the gate. To his surprise, he saw Jenu riding towards their house. He watched Jenu come in and tie his horse. Jenu greeted Naian and Alainara before finally going to Sharumez. Emelinia came outside with a chair for Jenu and he thanked her with a nod and smile before sitting down.

"How are you today Jenu?" Sharumez asked him.

"I am fine my friend. I just thought of visiting you all today." Jenu answered.

"How is everyone home?" Sharumez asked him again.

"Everyone is fine although Naliya has been down lately. I think it's because of her pregnancy." Jenu sighed. "We were supposed to go on our second honeymoon. I got us train tickets to Perivion and booked a hotel room for a week but I don't think we will be able to go in her condition."

"That is unfortunate my friend. Perhaps she will get better. What will you do about the tickets though? Is it too late to demand a refund?" Sharumez asked him and Jenu nodded his head.

Emelinia came over to the two men with juice for Jenu on a tray. Jenu looked at her and his eyes brightened. Emelinia was taken aback by that. Jenu looked over at Sharumez and he smiled widely at him. Sharumez backed away and narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Jenu.

"Sharumez, it's been four months since Naian and Emelinia got married and they haven't gone on their honey moon. Why don't they go on this trip I planned instead?" Jenu suggested.

"Well you are right on that one. I have been thinking about them going but Naian hasn't been up for the idea. He insists on working instead and Emelinia supports his decision." Sharumez said.

"Nonsense, I will convince him." Jenu confidently said to Sharumez. "Emelinia, please go and get Naian. Be sure to return with him."

It did not take long before Emelinia returned with Naian. Emelinia didn't tell Naian what Jenu was calling him for so he wondered why.

"You sent for me." Naian presented himself.

Jenu quickly explained the situation to Naian while he listened attentively. "So what do you say?" he hopefully asked.

"Thank you for your gesture but I'm afraid that won't be possible. There's too much work to do at the shop." Naian respectfully declined.

"Son, Janala and I can handle all of that." Sharumez insisted but Naian still wasn't sure.

When Jenu saw that Naian wasn't going to be convinced easily, he resorted to emotional blackmail.

"Who will buy the train tickets I bought? The hotel room I booked will just go to waste all because a man I consider as my son has refused to spend sometime alone with his wife." Jenu whined and fake cried.

Jenu dramatically blinked his eyes and held his hands together just to add more emotion in his act. Emelinia was stunned by that and Sharumez struggled not to laugh at the whole thing.

He could clearly see through Jenu but Naian took him seriously so he began to re consider. Naian turned to Emelinia and asked,

"Do you want to go on this trip?"

Emelinia looked at Jenu first before answering and saw him frantically nodding his head while Sharumez laughed silently. Emelinia looked back at Naian and nodded her head in agreement.

"What time will the train leave?" Naian asked Jenu.

"Tomorrow at six, sharp." Jenu happily answered.

"Okay." Naian said. "I'll be expecting the tickets." he decided to Jenu's delight.

Sharaina sat with her legs folded as she watched Naraygeous and Zentz spar with each other. It had been four months since they came to the academy and they learnt a lot of new things.

They had just returned after spending two months on Earth at the bases. They were sent there to learn how to conduct themselves on Earth and work with others. They however didn't spend any time out of the hidden bases because they were not yet authorized to do so.

During her stay there, Sharaina missed Light a lot. She wanted to go and see him as soon as she returned but he was out on some mission on Earth. He was going to be back the next week.

A green bug that looked like a caterpillar but with wings landed unnoticed on Sharaina. It crawled its way into her vest. The moment she felt it, she jerked up and shrieked. She twirled as she tried to get it off but it wouldn't drop.

In panic, Sharaina took off her vest and threw it to the ground. She did not see the young men ogling at her fit body with firm breasts in her bra. Her mind was so preoccupied on her vest. She saw that the bug was still in it but she didn't want to get close to the vest and shake it off.

Zentz heard the men whispering and he was puzzled to see Sharaina without her vest. Naraygeous looked at her body slowly and smiled cunningly.

Zentz was about to go and pick the vest for Sharaina when he took notice of her dragon mark. He observed that it looked like two dragons facing opposite directions and where attached by their tails but when he looked closer, he realized that they were separated by a tiny space in between.

Sharaina didn't have one mark but two and that was unheard of.

"Sharaina..." he said as he examined her back. "How come you have two dragon marks?"

Sharaina turned her head back in a hopeless attempt to look back.

"I have one it is just split into two otherwise they are joined together." Sharaina answered

Unconvinced, Zentz bent over and adjusted his glass. His face was too close to her bum and she immediately felt uncomfortable.

"Don't you think that you are a little too close?" she asked him.

"Oh pardon me. I'm sorry it's just that this is fascinating. Sharaina you have two dragon marks. How could you not know this? Hasn't anyone ever told you?" he asked her. "Hey Naraygeous, you need to see this!" he called out before she could answer.

Naraygeous shook his head. "No way man. I don't have self-control like yours. I may end up poking something I shouldn't." Naraygeous said and Sharaina glared at him.

"You are a total and complete asshole you know that Naraygeous?" Sharaina snarled.

"Hey I am not the only one feeling this way." Naraygeous stretched his hand at all the guys staring at Sharaina. "I don't know what you are made of Zentz. You are so up close to her like that and you aren't even flinching. What type of sorcery are you into?" Naraygeous mockingly asked him.

"If you cracked open a book like I always tell you to, you would know." Zentz snapped back.

"Man you know that I hate reading." Naraygeous laughed.

Zentz walked over to Sharaina's vest and picked it up. He shook it and the bug dropped. Sharaina shrieked when she saw it. It was a goo goo. It gave anyone it bit a disease that had symptoms like malaria.

Sharaina was so relieved that she took off the vest before it could bite her. Zentz handed the vest back to her and she quickly wore it hence sending frowns to the young men. Some even walked away because their show was over.

I apologize for the slow updates. My laptop had a problem but all is well now. I'm going to update 5 chapters today and starting Monday, it'll be one chapter a day. Cheers - Rechiana
