Hello Mr Alpha

Xavier's POV

We're finally back home, back to where it all started. We arrived a few days ago and as soon as we walked through the door my father greeted us with urgent matters to deal with and after taking care of those all we did was sleep and rest up for a few days. Now everything is back to normal and we’ve transitioned back to pack life seamlessly.

The guys and I decided to pay the college a visit and discuss the addition of a few new degrees to be offered to students with Dean Marcus. In every pack we’ve visited they’ve constantly upgraded their schools, colleges, curriculum and degrees offered to ensure the future generations have everything at their disposal and it’s about time a few new additions are made to ours. The Red Dawn wolves and Blood Moon wolves share it considering it is privately funded by both packs. I have an inkling that I'll be running into a certain someone today.

I don't know about the other guys, but my wolf, Rhys, has been on edge lately, ever since we reached the pack territory boundaries and I have no idea why. Perhaps I should go for a run in the forest to blow off some steam after this meeting.

I let Rhys in to ask if everything's okay. What's up with you man? You've been pacing all day. He replies instantly. “I don't know but I feel like something huge is going to happen today, I can just feel it."

Yeah well, stop. It’s distracting and you're thoroughly annoying me with your continuous pacing, get a grip pup! I know calling him a pup would set him off but can’t help taking a dig at him.

"Why you son of-" I quickly shut him out before he could finish and laugh at his outburst, he gives as good as he gets and then some.

"Are you guys ready to leave?" I shout up the staircase to Alex and Aiden and seconds later I see them walking down, “Yes all good, let’s head out", Aiden replies while grabbing the keys to my truck and heading out the door.

Alex and I exchange a horrified look before darting out and catching up with him and as I pass him, I snatch the keys out of his hand and head straight to the driver's seat and Alex and passenger side, leaving Aiden to the back.

“Hey dude come on; you guys haven’t let me drive in ages. That was months ago, and it was only just a scratch,” he complains as he jumps in the back.

“Just a scratch? You nearly took out an old lady, and definitely took out her mailbox. Don’t forget about the fact that she chucked a huge rock at the windshield and damaged the hood,” Alex replies exasperatedly while I just shake my head and start the truck.

“That mailbox was oddly placed and you know it. How was I supposed to know she was standing there, she was so damn tiny I didn’t see a thing, at least I didn’t hit her! And it wasn’t my fault the little old lady had an arm on her!” Aiden shakes his fist in dramatic outrage.

I turn on some music and drown out the bickering of two-year old’s, heading towards the college.

Alina’s POV

I hummed under my breath as I skipped downstairs to the lounge where mum and dad were chatting quietly. As I enter, I notice their looks. "What?" I asked with a shrug.

"You seem awfully chipper today dear. What are you up to now?" mum asked with a suspicious look. "Oh nothing. " I said with my best innocent look but I don’t doubt for a second my mother believed it.

"Well I have to get going mum. Lots to do in such little time. And I'm giving Jason a ride on my new baby since he hasn't stopped drooling over it," I called out to my parents as I walked towards the door.

"Remember to be nice honey. You might run into the Blood Moon pack Alpha today on campus. And no pr-" my mother shouts out to me but I cut her off knowing exactly what’s next, "Yeah, yeah mum I know. No pranks. Got it," I called back with a salute and shut the door.

I arrived at the pack house for Jason with a plan forming in my head. "Morning boss," he greeted and then whistled, "Someone's looking badass on her new sweet ride."

"Thanks. Got to look good to keep up the reputation," I chuckled jokingly. "Hell yeah!" He hollered back with a smile and hopped on before speeding off.

Xavier's POV

The guys and I stepped out of the admin building with Dean Marcus in tow, expressing his deep gratitude at the additional investment when all of a sudden, the tantalizing and comforting scent of strawberries and chocolate, filled my senses, drawing me in. I turn around in place looking for the source of the scent and I hear Rhys yipping that four-letter word I have been waiting six years for, and my heart explodes with happiness and relief. At last, I found you.

I heard the roar of a motorcycle - a Harley to be specific - and there stood the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on, wearing ripped denim jeans, a curve-hugging red top, black leather jacket and combats. She had raven black hair and smooth golden skin. I knew right then and there I was a goner.

She was standing on the motorcycle and had her hands in the air laughing as the wind gently caressed her raven locks. She sat back down and held the guy driving the bike around the waist. That's when I snapped out of my daze.

"Mine!" I growled. As they parked the bike I strode forward and ripped the guy off the bike, shoving him to the floor.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" she growled in outrage as I enveloped her in my arms, tingles erupted on my skin and I also felt her shiver with delight as I hugged her slender, lean frame against me.

She looked up and I got lost in her ocean eyes. She's beautiful. I heard her inhale sharply and I felt her push against me. "Oh my god. You're an Alpha. " she exclaimed with a look of pure disbelief on her face. I was about to respond as she stared dumbfoundedly before her eyes widened in realization and she bolted in the opposite direction.

I was stunned at her reaction, clearly not expecting such a strange one. It certainly didn't turn out as how I had always pictured it but truthfully, I can't say I'm disappointed, rather amused. I looked around, realizing everyone was watching our exchange with interest, some trying to covertly glance rather unsuccessfully while others blatantly stared in shock. All the members of my pack buzzed with excitement that their Alpha had finally found his mate.

I turned to the guy still on the floor and pulled him up by his collar. "Who do you think you are, holding my mate like that?" I growled, eyes flashing as Rhys tried to assert his dominance.

"Whoa, take it easy, I meant no disrespect." He said and put both his hands up in surrender. "Besides, we're just friends, she’s like a sister to me."

Alex ripped me away from him and apologized to the audience for my outburst. The mystery guy walked back towards the school entrance, but before he entered, he shouted out to me, "Good luck man. You're going to need it and some advice for the future: you need to be more level-headed especially because Ali is a future alpha too." He laughed. I wanted to rebut before his words sank in. What? My mate is of an Alpha bloodline? I inhaled her scent and just as he said, the lying undertone beneath the tantalizing strawberry and chocolate scent was unmistakably one of an Alpha.

"Ali? Is that her name?" Warmth bloomed in my chest as I finally put a name to her beautiful face, however as I was still processing his words, I couldn't help but feel an underlying feel of recognition and confusion.

The stranger watched in realization and amusement, he chuckled. "Oh, this is going to be good. Congratulations man. You're mated to the one and only Alina Richards. Alpha of the Red Dawn pack."

Alina? Alina Richards? I was frozen in and a sense of dread accompanied the warmth and happiness that I felt right now.

The girl who gave me hell since we were toddlers, one of the biggest pains of my ass was destined to be my mate. I couldn't believe it. Alex and Aiden started cracking up at my astonished expression and patted my back as I slowly started to realize what a complete fool I had just made out of myself. After some thought, I realized that mystery guy/stranger was probably Jason. I felt like hitting my head against a wall. Oh man, if I know one thing about Alina Richards is that I really have to apologize quickly before things get out of hand.

Just then an idea popped into my head and I walked back to the flustered Dean, “Dean Marcus, while my beta takes care of the financing details, I would like to get a personal feel for the college. As you know I’ve had to complete my studies remotely while travelling, I never got the chance to experience campus life firsthand. Would you mind arranging for me to take a few classes so that I could get to know a few of the bright students and perhaps offer them an internship within the pack?” I speak about the pack openly since he is one of our own.

Alex and Aiden jumped at the chance to watch me grovel for forgiveness no doubt, “Yes that would be great. We would also love to get experience this firsthand.”

Dean Marcus’s face lights up at the idea, “Of course, most certainly not a problem. I shall arrange for it right away. Would you perhaps like to start today?”

“Even better, but I have one favour to ask of you” I stated as we treaded to his office to sort out the details.

I hope this works.
