Looks like color-fest

Alina's POV

Seriously Moon Goddess, out of all the people to pick from as my mate, you choose Xavier Collins? This is probably karma for all the mischief I made when I was younger, I think to myself.

Rhia’s over the moon at the fact that she finally found her mate and honestly so am I, it’s just a shock to the system and the realization that my life will never be the same again. Rhia preened over the fact that he was a good alpha despite our interesting meeting after a few years. Everyone knows that Xavier is one of the best ranked alphas out there. He is strong, dedicated, smart and loyal. He worked hard to get where he is and as I respect him a lot despite the fact that he used to get on my nerves when we were younger.

"So, destiny has chosen the perfect one for thy mischief maker self," Thea teased as she walked towards me standing at my locker as Riley and Jason chortled at the flustered look on my face.

As I sat through one of my lectures that I had alone, the familiar knee-buckling scent filled my senses. I tensed in surprise. Oh no, what is he doing here right now. I asked around through the pack link only to find out he’s got the Dean to let him ‘take a few classes and experience campus life.’ Yeah right, I snort silently in amusement, like anyone is going to believe that's the reason.

As I thought back to how we saw each other after years, my mind couldn't help but appreciate how attractive Xavier turned out to be. He had golden blonde hair, deep emerald eyes with flecks of gold. His skin was beautiful bronze tan colour and over the years his muscles had become more toned and firmer.

As time came for the next class, I hurried out quickly and rejoined my friends for our next class. However, my mind was still occupied with the thoughts of him. I was snapped out of it by Riley clicking her fingers in front of my face. "Is someone thinking about their oh so sexy other half?" she wiggled her eyebrows with a wide grin on her face.

I felt my cheeks heating up and huffed in annoyance as everyone snickered. "Shut up Riles!" I hissed through my teeth as my cheeks warmed, my eyes darted around to see if the topic of conversation was anywhere in sight. All clear, whew. Thankfully I avoided the topic once more as soon as the professor dismissed us. I realize that this isn't very alpha of me, but to be fair my life just flipped upside down and I need to keep my focus just a little while longer. Why am I acting like this? Ugh!

During our break, my friends were hanging together when an evil thought appeared in my head. I smirked to myself before capturing their attention, "Hey! Guys, listen up!" They quietened down and looked at me expectantly, "So it was brought to my attention that my newly found mate and his posse are going to be here for a while and have been assigned lockers and everything just like regular students. I know we are planning for that special something at the party but what do you say we make them feel welcome, A team style?” I grinned mischievously.

“Hell yeah,” Jason smirks and Riley and Thea look at me like I’m crazy but agree. I must be crazy, I'm probably the only wolf in history who finds their long-awaited mate, runs away and later greets them with a prank. I lay down the plan and thankfully we have everything we need right in the Art studio three doors down.

“Stella just mind-linked me, they're headed for their lockers in fifteen minutes. B56, 57 and 58. Let's put this plan into action. “Thea, Jase go get the paint, balloons, and head over to set it up," I say as I take out spare slingshots from my locker from a previous prank and hand it to them.

"We're on it!" they chorused with mischievous smiles and raced off to complete their task.

"Riles?" I look over at her with a raised eyebrow. "Camera connected and ready to film." she replied with a wink.

"Perfect," I rub my hands together, "Let's get started!"

Thea and Jason mind-linked me to inform me that they wrapped it up and the boys are heading over. We all met up at the end of the corridor where their lockers were, far enough so they won’t be able to see or scent us out, to watch the show unfold.

It's show time I thought as I see Xavier and the guys reach their lockers and start punching in their codes. I did a mental countdown and it all happened in slow motion - it was a great big colorfest.

Dye-filled paintballs shot out their lockers and exploded all over them all at once. They yelp in surprise, Aiden the loudest - ever the drama queen - and start cursing seconds later due to some unforeseen paintballs striking them in the nether regions. Ironic isn't it?

"Oh, that's got to hurt." Jason shouted out.

The hallway was filled with laughter.

They were now covered in paint from head to toe and I'm sure their faces were red, under all that paint as I saw them shake their heads and reach the same conclusion - they had just fallen victim to the A team, like many times before.

I toppled over in laughter, clutching my stomach, while tears rolled freely down my cheeks. Jason, Thea and Riley were pretty much doing the same.

After I calmed down, I grinned before shouting, "Welcome back Xavier and crew! It's good to see you all again."

The three of them looked at us in surprise with slight glares and as I stared at Xavier, I couldn't help but notice the fond amusement alongside the annoyance. I shifted slightly before moving my gaze elsewhere as they walked out the building, taking the guffaws and giggles in stride, to no doubt dig up the spare clothes they had in the truck for when they all shifted, I assume. They may not be mad about it but we should definitely prepare for retaliation if history was any indication.

"Well done A Team!" I laughed, "We are victorious once again! You make mama so proud." I say as I wipe away a fake tear.

"Come my fellow pranksters, I believe we have a video to post!" Riley reminded us with a wink as we all laughed.

Watch out boys, there's a lot more where that came from.
