"Hey there! My name is David."

After saying this he smiled, but Isoken didn't reciprocate. She was in a bad mood; She just wanted to be left alone and wasn't ready to talk to anybody.

"Isoken." She said her name while removing his hand that blocked her view, then resumed what she was doing.

He put his hands together behind his back, as it was evident that she had rejected his hand shake, "So I guess that you aren't a fan of handshakes, eh?" He asked.

He looked at Isoken who continued on scribbling, all he received was silence.

"Hugger then?" He asked but still received silence as an answer.

It was quiet again for a few minutes. Isoken relished this silence because it seemed like nature made her bad mood disappear.

Just as she was about to smile, David stood up and said, "What's all this baby girl? First, you act like I don't exist! Then you treat me like air! Which is basically the same thing. Second, you don't even look happy that I talked to you and even squeezed your face for me, temper temper." While being dramatic.

It was quiet for a few seconds, you could literally hear the cricket sounds as well as other sounds.

"Baby girl? Temper temper?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"So those are the things that caught your ears? Wow!"

They looked at each other for a few seconds, before they laughed a hysterical laughter.

"If that was a joke or pickup line, it was one of the worst one's I've ever heard." Isoken said while trying to compose herself.

"It was just a little something something, you get?" He said, when he had recovered and sat next to Isoken.

"I do." Isoken replied while smiling.

"I'm guessing you are no longer angry?" He asked.

"I was never angry."

"Period equals mood swings, is that what this is?" He asked.

Isoken eyes widened. She used her palms to hit David a few times then stopped.

"Hey! Don't hit me, be more open minded. For your information, I have a sister and her mood swings are crazy." He said while rubbing the spot he was hit on.

"Dude, you just met me, you can only ask a girl you are close to this kind of stuff. And I am an open minded person."

"Oh okay, so what was wrong?" He asked

"I was in a bad mood; I just wanted some peace and quiet."

"Oh sorry I disturbed you, should I leave then?" David asked.

"I'm okay now, so we can talk if you are down for it." Isoken said while David nodded.

They talked some more, getting to know one another better. An hour later, her mom and his arrived at the same time, so they both left school together while headed for their respective houses.

...

Isoken finished drinking her glass of water, then climbed back into bed.
