In another part of Asaba, miles away from Isoken's house. A gigantic mansion was standing tall on a particular spot, it was a beautiful sight. This mansion could be easily spotted among all the other beautiful houses located in that area. This was Emmanuel's house.

Saturday.--Emmanuel woke-up to the familiar atmosphere at home. His parents were not home again, like every other day.

He couldn't say he understood them, when he didn't.

At least he had a family that provided for him and checked-up on him every once in a while.

They barely interfered with his decisions, which was more than what anyone could ask for. Living your life for others, instead of living for himself was the last thing he wanted.

He felt like something was going on with his parents but he didn't know what it was. They would tell him eventually, just later and not sooner.

He talked to his sister an hour ago; he really missed her but he couldn't go to the states just yet.

For most people, time passed slowly but on Emmanuel's end, it was a different story.

Time always flew quickly whenever he was alone or lost in his thoughts, or when he was immersed in what he was doing.

It was currently 5 pm. Emmanuel had been waiting for this, the time hitting 5 pm, signifying it was evening time.

During these last two days, he noticed that Isoken had been trying really hard to talk to him about something. He wasn't sure what it was but he noticed it bothered her a lot.

Due to the situation of calling her, he had waited till today and evening for that matter because he didn't want her to get in trouble.

Although, there was no guarantee that calling now wouldn't also get her in trouble, but it was his safest bet and also a blind leap of fate.

He dialled her number and began observing his surroundings, while he waited for an indication that his call had been answered.

The call didn't go through, he decided to give it two more tries if this one didn't get picked.

Ring...ring...ring...then he heard a sound, this indicated that his call had been picked.

"Hello…"
