Monday.-- Isoken was currently in the classroom where she and Emmanuel had that embarrassing encounter, which was a few months back. She would have loved to reminisce about it, despite it being an embarrassing situation, but now was not the time.

She and Emmanuel made plans to meet in this classroom, as her mind kept saying she should tell him personally and so she stylishly prolonged her confession till Monday; even though she could have said it on Saturday while they were still on the call.

The call began with pleasantries, before Emmanuel asked about what had been bugging him, it went like this…

"Hello…" The sound of his deep but manly voice, made her feel jitters.

"Hi…" She was shocked to hear her own self speak without stuttering.

"Isoken, how are you?" Whenever he called her name an emotion always stirred in her.

"I'm good, how about you?" Ignoring what Isoken had said, Emmanuel said, "I don't think you're good, these past few days I've noticed you had been trying to talk to me about something but you failed to do so due to circumstances, your mood had also changed. I can't help but think that this is partly my fault as well, forgive me if so, I'm all ears now."

Isoken was slightly shocked, he took notice of herself, that was all she could hear and it started to chant itself in her mind till Emmanuel snapped her out of it.

"Isoken, Isoken, Isoken!!!" His voice rose an octave higher, he was only one step away from shouting.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry I got lost in my thoughts and my mind wandered elsewhere." What she said was true though.

"Oh, I understand, I guess you remembered what you have been trying to tell me all along then?" He asked, although that wasn't the reason for her thoughts wandering about but she went along with his train of thought.

"Uhuh, but um…" She was hesitant on whether or not to tell him over the phone, not being able to see his facial expressions or body language would make her not to have a sense of relief, at this point her mind kept telling her to tell him on Monday.

"Is everything alrigh…" He hadn't even completed his question when Isoken quickly shouted Monday.

"Monday!!!" Her voice sounded loudly and cut off his remaining words that were yet to be spoken.

"Monday…is it inconvenient now? Are you sure Monday will be alright?" He asked all at once.

"I'm absolutely sure, I want us to talk about it in person." She said firmly.

Emmanuel suggested the classroom, which was an awkward topic for her but then decided on it and the rest of the conversation flowed easily until it was time for Isoken to go for the all-night, then she bid goodbye.

Now...here she was in the classroom waiting for his arrival, the day had finally come but it only made her muscles tense as he had not appeared, and the unknown was still uncertain.

Then she heard footsteps, and with every step closer, her heart beat mimicked it as well.
