“Uh I never thought that you would actually call me, so I didn’t have anything planned but how about I take you to the movies this Friday?” he asked hopefully.

Denise rolled her eyes from beside me probably unimpressed by his confession and lack of smooth talk. It seemed like he was not very experienced in talking to girls and getting their attention which is odd because he looked very cute.

If I wasn’t on a mission to hurt boys, I might have given him a chance. 

“Friday works fine for me. I’ll send you my address so that you can come pick me up.”

Now that the deal was made, I had no longer any interest in talking to him.
I had already entertained him for way long and although it was fun while it lasted, I had places to be and people to meet.

Damn These Boys!

“Let’s sit down first, yeah?” Alex asked, already guiding me to sit on the sofa. I numbly followed him. I felt I had lost all control on my life suddenly. Everything I thought to be true was turning into lies and the biggest contributor in all of this was my own best friend. 


Sitting back beside me Alex pulled me to him as an act of comfort but I pulled away and looking straight up at Andrew I said, “Andrew please explain everything right from the beginning.” 


My words came out weaker than I had expected them to. I sounded defeated. I guess Blu and Charlie took the hint that I wanted to be alone because Blu went to sit on the other sofa with Julian while Charlie came to stand behind our sofa and leaned on its other end. 


“Okay. Remember how we first met at Sabrosa? It wasn’t a normal coincidence; I was instructed by Denise to work there and to wait your table purposely to catch your eye. She told me to act innocent and shy to appeal to you,” he revealed.
