“Finally it’s time for dessert,” he cheered bringing two plates of chocolate cake. From the looks of it, it was home made. Taking a bite of it from a fork I relished in its taste and then excitedly shrieked, “Your mom’s cake!”
“Yeah you have good memory. I didn’t think you’d remember the one time I had brought it for you,” he astonished. Digging in his own piece he revealed, “Well I told my mom about my plan for today and she wanted to help me out on the condition that I bring you home to meet her soon. I had to make a three hour journey to and from my hometown just to get this.”
Stopping at the mention of meeting his family I nervously gulped down the bite in my mouth. He must have sensed it because glancing up he chewed the piece in his mouth quickly and taking a sip of his water he prattled, “Hey, now, you don’t have to worry about anything. She loves you already and I bet you will hit it off with her instantly.”
