Chapter 11 - She Has Strong Instinct

"Dera … looks like she likes you," Daisy chimed in as they headed home.

The tension on Zen's face could be seen clearly, but Daisy didn't know that it was Dera that made her tense. Luckily Zen can act.

"Don't talk nonsense, she's just my subordinate."

"Yes, that's what you said. But I said Dera likes you."

Short, dense, and clear. Daisy immediately silent a thousand languages. Until she arrived at the apartment, she went into her room without speaking a word to Zen. Zen let it be because he didn't want his secret to be exposed in front of Daisy.

Daisy suddenly came out already neatly dressed. "Come on, take me to campus, today suddenly there is a course that was supposed to be tomorrow but the lecturer was unable to come, so it was replaced," said Daisy.

Zen raised one eyebrow at Daisy. Whether Daisy is lying or not. Daisy rolled her eyes and finally gave the evidence to Zen. She showed Zen her cell phone and Zen read it quickly.

It didn't take long for Zen to take Daisy to campus. Lots of people thought Zen. He was sure that Daisy would meet Reza, her ex-lover.

"I'll wait here," Zen said before Daisy came out.

"Just go home. I'm afraid I'm long."

"No. It would be more dangerous if I leave you."

Daisy likewise, can't resist Zen's stubbornness. She finally got out of the car and left Zen. Zen watched her until Daisy came inside.

The heat of the city makes Zen thirsty. Luckily he parked his car very close to a small shop selling food and drinks. He decided to order meatballs next to the stall and fresh sweet iced tea.

His eyes never disappeared from Daisy's campus sight. He was just in case Daisy went out or something.

"Here, Sir, the meatballs," said the meatball seller to Zen.

Zen cleared his throat and enjoyed his meal. Until an hour and a half had passed, the crowd returned. He was sure that it was Daisy's class that was over. Zen waited for Daisy to come out until he saw Daisy with one of her friends walking and chatting.

Arriving at the car, Daisy waved her hand at her friend. Then, her eyes caught Zen who was sitting in the stall with the finished meatballs in front of her.

"You want to?" asked Zen offers.

Daisy didn't answer, her face looked annoyed but she then ordered a portion of meatballs for her.

"It's good, being picked up by a rich man, it's only right now that the clothes and goods are branded," said a woman who suddenly sneered at Daisy.

Zen turned to the woman's voice. A group of five women was looking at him. Daisy just didn't answer, Zen approached and Daisy was surprised that she had to stop Zen.

"You guys want it too? Why don't you look for rich men as well? Oh ... I thought maybe no rich guy would want the same big mouth as you guys. Hmm ... I'm sorry," Zen sneered back.

"Zen... what are you doing?" whispered Daisy who had wrapped her arms around him, forcing him away but Zen was reluctant to do so.

The five women were taken aback by Zen's reply. Don't accept, but also can't do anything. Moreover, they were laughed at by some of the men around who did know their nature.

"That's right. Her mouth really can't be kept when he talks, no surprise," said the man who laughed at them.

Zen watched them more closely. His eagle eyes threatened her and pounced on the five women. "If I hear and see you guys like this in front of Daisy, I won't stay silent."

Instrumental music sings in a Zen car on the way home. Daisy was silent and annoyed with Zen's behavior which she thought was outrageous. For Daisy, it was very embarrassing when Zen scolded five women who had been her enemies since the beginning of the semester, while for Zen he did it because he was annoyed with the mouths of the five women.

"What if Fira scolds me in class later? You have no idea how cruel they are in my class, Zen!" Daisy said suddenly.

He looked at Daisy and Zen holding back a smile. "That's what you're worried about?"

Daisy nodded. "Because... because they once scolded me."

"What is the reason?"

Daisy was not sure, should she give the reason Fira used to scold her or not. Because it's about Reza, her ex-girlfriend.

"Tell me, Daisy," Zen ordered then.

"Fira... admitted that in the past... Reza was her lover, in fact, she only confessed. Reza has even been with me since the beginning of the semester," Daisy explained carefully.

Daisy couldn't deny, Zen's jaw tightened and hard when Daisy said Reza's name. The memory of Daisy running to Reza and kissing made him stiffen. Daisy knew that, but she also didn't care about Zen's expression, it was just that when Zen's mood is not good, of course, it will happen to her.

"A trivial thing. Never mind, you don't need to worry about it. I will continue to monitor you," Zen said then.

"You can't always monitor me, Zen. You have to work, too."

"What's the use of my subordinates if they are not used?" asked Zen then.

***

This time Zen took Daisy to her house. He was unable to monitor Daisy in his apartment because Zen had to take care of something more urgent and dangerous. Zen also entrusted Daisy to Weiske and left Daisy after.

When he arrived at the office, Zen was already waiting for Kanya. The woman who is now his ex-lover and the mother of his flesh and blood is now waiting for Zen with a man sitting by her side.

"What's wrong, Kanya?" asked Zen then.

"You're ten minutes late, Zen," Kanya said.

"Just straight to the point."

Kanya glanced at the man by her side. Nod and the two hold hands. Zen who was staring at it started to understand what Kanya would talk about after this.

"Introducing, this is Roy, my boyfriend," said Kanya introducing him. Zen nodded and didn't want to shake hands with Roy. He would rather be judged arrogant than generous and abused.

He looked at Kanya's face in as much detail as possible. The small, beautiful, and stubborn face that used to make Zen fall in love and make her pregnant, but did not want to be married, now Zen already understands that Kanya will announce that he and Roy are getting married.

"A don't know whether to share this news with you or not, Zen," Kanya said as if to buy time.

"Just say it. There's nothing between us anyway, Kanya."

As if he already knew, Kanya swallowed hard. Zen even saw this for the first time how Kanya seemed afraid to tell Zen. Whereas a few days ago, she came with a sly face to ask Zen for money.

"Me and Roy..." her words trailed off, making Zen couldn't help but wait until Zen finally continued Kanya's words and nodded.

"Getting married? I see, right? Okay. Clear!"
