Rowan throws me off of him using tremendous strength. My head hits the back of a stone wall hard, the sound of the impact resounds throughout the dark and gloomy torture chamber.

It scares Jezebeth, and from my peripheral vision I can see her backing up against the wall. A sneer forms on my lips, coward.

Strangely enough, I don't feel pain at all. It's like I've become numb to everything. The fire inside me still burns vibrantly, as if someone is pouring gasoline onto it.
