The Grand Master Wizard

The sky was clearing up and a cool breeze was blowing into the tower due to the large hole in the wall.

Lord Jamie walked to the body of Mr. Benjamin as Jaiden was stooping over the body.

His hand reached down and grasped an invisible object. Then he pulled a watch case which Lord Jamie was not able to see until it was pulled out.

Inside was a blue gem that Jaiden eyed for a few minutes and then gave to Lord Jamie and said, keep this on you at all times and you would see future events.

Lord Jamie took the gem and then placed it into his pocket.

His future self, Jaiden got up and then walked out the cell and headed down the stairs of the tower. Lord Jamie looked at Matthew's body which was slumped over, for a brief moment and then he also walked out the cell room of the tower, to head down the stairs of the tower.

When they reached the bottom of the tower, at the guards who were standing outside, Lord Jamie said send up some men to 'clean up' the cell in the tower. The prisoners have escaped.

Should we go after them, Lord Jamie, asked one of the castle guards?

No! They are probably already halfway across the continent by now… Let's take care of things here.

'A distance away'

We need to move, Luke said as he looked at the castle in the distance. They might send people to come and recapture us.

Melinda looked out at the river that returned to its normal state and said out loud, where is Timea?

I think she too didn't make it, answered Luke as he remembered the fiery body that had been blasted out the tower and fell into the river when it had begun to recede.

"That is very unfortunate to hear," a voice said behind them.

They turned to see a bearded, properly dressed man, with a stern expression standing close by.

Who are you, asked Fiora?

I am the Grand Master Wizard, he answered. The man that allowed you to escape.

Let's go somewhere safe to talk, he said as he turned his back to them?

Everyone looked at each other thinking if to trust him. As they began to debated in their minds, the grandmaster wizard called forward a large cluster of butterflies that flew in front of him.

When the butterflies parted, a doorway with a step down inside a wooden corridor with pictures on the wall, was seen. It really was beyond belief which made up the minds of the heroes as they followed the Grandmaster wizard into the corridor.

Then the butterflies dispersed and the pathway disappeared from the river bank...

'Back at the castle'

Lord Jamie walked into the banquet Hall and commissioned his chiefs to cook for Jaiden as they both sat at a table.

How did she destroy the North Wall of the cell, Lord Jamie stressed! Those magical ruins were supposed to stop all magic from being cast.

She had help, Jaiden said. It was the Grandmaster Wizard.

Really? I have always believed that that man was a myth. Having seen that he is actually real, I am quite thrilled that there is a worthy challenge for me.

Don't be too cocky. That was only a small reveal of his power. He is much stronger and much greater than you are currently.

Were you not there, Lord Jamie asked? I killed 'The Blue Maiden' without any resistance.

With the help of my potion, stated Jaiden. That potion made you stronger. Without it, you would not have survived that fight.

Also, Jaiden said, fixing himself on the seat as food arrived. "Do you think that she is dead?" A look came over Lord Jamie's face as he tried to think about the possibility of The Blue Maiden still being alive.
