The old lady rotated back around, her expression one of incredulity and disbelief- mostly disbelief.

She was sure of it, or at least she used to be. But Princess Hwa's sweet smile disarmed that narrative without much effort.

"It's true, amma," Princess Hwa reaffirmed her words while walking over to hold her hands, "I saw it as clear as I see you now."

The old lady saw the look in her eyes and knew it was so. She was not capable of lying to begin with and her gifts- or 'curse' as others called it, had never been wrong.

She took a few minutes to come to terms with and in the end, they were both on the same page.
