Derek's POV
Was I too harsh on her yesterday, no. She was the one who left, and even when I changed for her, and then told me she moved on. It was difficult, trying to change and get myself back together, but she didn't acknowledge how hard it was, to live without her. But she's done just fine, raising my kids with another man, that's right, I know. Everybody thinks that Max is the father of the twins, but of course I know different. Echo used to be the smartest person, but alas she forgot to shut off the part of the bond where we can read eachothers' minds. Dont get me wrong, I'm absolutely livid that another man has seen the twins' first steps, first word and every other special moment that I haven't seen.
But alas, I cant kill him as Echo would never forgive me. One thing that Max doesn't know, is that Echo and I are connected, he doesn't know that I'm the father of the twins, and he doesn't know who Echo's father is, I am definitely going to be watching when they meet. Surprisingly, Peter and Deaucalion have become quite the pair over time. I guess they share the same interest in killing innocent people. But I guess they are family, united through the twins, and briefly Trudy. We all miss her, everyday, but you can't bring back the dead.
I will always remember the last thing that Echo said to me. Trudy wouldnt have wanted us to split up, Echo's final words really hit me hard, so I used her own words against her, to make her feel the pain, I felt for all of those years. Karma really is a b*tch.
Silvie's POV
I think Mommy might have caught on to me being really happy yesterday, I guess you could say I recieved a piece of happy information? Anyway, while I was in Mommy's room, the man from the big house with lost of people showed up, he gave me a letter, that said I had to meet him in the last room on the right, on he second floor fo the house. So I agreed and said I'd make Mommy go there again. Daddy said that you dont talk to strangers, but at the big house, Mommy knew him, and he seemed realy nice, so I trusted him.
Mommy was still asleep when I woke up, "Mommy!" I yelled, as I bounced up and down on her springy mattress. "Silvie? What are you doing, it's only
...10am?!!" Mommy literally jumped out of bed and towards her closet, reaching for the nearest clothes. She wore blue shorts with a white t-shirt. I just wore favourite minty green t-shirt and black shorts. "Let's go to the big house!" I proposed. Mommy looked confused. "Sweetie, there are people there that arent to happy with me there" I remember her conversation with Malia from yesterday. "But your Daddy's there" I poured, running towards the boys' room to find my twin.
I didn't have any time to hear Mommys reply befor I was bouncing ontop of Ace. "Ace! Get up, we're going to the big house!" I yelled in his ear, causing him to immediately jolt out fo bed and hold his hand over his ears. "You had to that didn't you?" I smiled innocently and nodded. "Now come on, we cant stay here all day" Ace meekly nodded and I went out so they could get dressed. I stood outside the room, tapping my foot the entire time, Mommy muttered something like. "Pfft Hales... always impatient" I spun on my heel to face her. "Hales? Who is Hales?" Mommy looked startled that I could hear her. "Nobody" I nodded and turned back around.
"Okay, finished" Daddy said as he walked out of the room with my twin brother on his shoulders. Grandma gave us gave us all a waffle to eat in the car. I put sprinkles and honey on mine, what can I say, I like sweet things. Mommy helped me do my seatbelt before she got in the front and Daddy did Ace's. Once everybody was in, Scott decided to squish inbetween Ace and I, making the room in the back, extremely limited.
"So, we off to the pack house?" Scott asked, making Ace and I steal questioning glances at eachother. "What's a pack?" I asked, not referring to packs of food, although I wish I was.
"Nothing, dont worry about it Silvie" is shrugged it off as we continued driving. We srriver at the big house and I jumped out the car excitedly. Unfortunately for me, I was caught by Daddy. "Daddy!" I squealed. "Put me down!" It didn't come out as serious as I wanted it to be, more like a bunch of giggles. "Okay then" He sighed and I was lifted back onto the ground. I saw the same man from last night, looking down at us through a window on the second floor. I quickly ran into the house, remembering my promise to him. I could hear Mommy and Daddy chasing after me but I was too fast. I ran up the carpeted stairs, and past the cold tile of the hallway. I reached the second floor and quickly found the last room on the right.
On the door were different butterfly and flower stickers, all scattered around in different places. I lightly pushed open the door to find the green-eyed man from yesterday, sitting on the colourful quilt of the bed. "Hello" I greeted, stepping fully inside the room. It was definitely decorated for a girl, the room was colourful and bright, every inch was used to perfection. The room itself seemed to be for a little girl, there were five letters in capitals on one of the walls, from what Mommy taught me about letters, they spell out words. The letters were T, R, U,D,Y. Trudy.
That's strange, I haven't seen a girl around here anyway, maybe she's at a friends house for a playdate or sleepover. The green-eyed man from last night saw me looking at the letters on the wall. "Who's Trudy?" I asked, hopely curiosity doesnt kill me like it killed the cat.
"Trudy, she was my little girl"
