Return to the crescent moon

Nathan POV

A few days have passed since the funeral and Payton hasn't come out of her room since we got back from the church. She's locked us all out and blocked all mind links, so no one can contact her. Trip whines in my head as we stand outside Payton door, just like we have every couple of hours since we got back. 'She isn't the only one grieving.' I selfishly thought to myself. 'Ye but she witnessed it Nathan, you need to give her time.' He says as he sighs. I knock on the door gently, "Payton, my love, can you please open up." I calmly say as I take a deep breath. Silence.

I let out a sigh and knock again, "Payton we all need you, the kids need you, I need you." I say as my voice cracks at the end. My eyes begin to blur, as tears begin to form, placing my forehead on the door. I start to take deep breaths as tears begin to role down my cheeks, 'I can't do this on my own.' I think as I let a sob out. The door opens causing me to look up, as Payton comes into my view, she pulls me into her embrace wrapping her arms tightly around my back, tingles and sparks begin to erupt consuming my whole my body, calming me down.

I wrap my arms around her, giving her a tight squeeze as more tears flow down my face. She looks up into my eyes as she wipes my tears away. Placing her lips on to mine she gives me a quick peck on the lips causing me to sigh. "I missed you." I whisper as I capture her lips into mine, deepening the kiss.

I begin to nibble her bottom lip begging for entrance, as I place a hand in her hair and the other onto her ass, pulling her into to my chest. She moans giving me access to plunge my tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss even more. My dick begins to pulsate as I pull away begging for air as Payton begins to take deep breaths, taking a sniff I let out a chuckle as I smell Payton's arousal, causing trip to try and push forward, "later my love." I seductively say as I give her a wink causing her to whine out.

Interlacing our fingers together I begin to pull her towards the children's nursery. When I open the door she lets out a little gasp, "Regan." She gasps out shocked, Regan stands from the floor and begins to walk towards us. "Hey little sis." He says as he reaches us, pulling Payton into his embrace for a tight hug. "How you doing?." He asks in a quiet voice as he begins to stroke her hair. She pulls away slightly looking up at him, "why are you really here." She says arching her eyebrow up, Regan looks over at me then back at payton as he lets out a sigh.

"I actually wanted to check on my sister." He started. "But..." I interrupted causing him to smile. "But I came here to tell you the Crescent moon pack is under attack." She steps back a little shocked. "What do you mean it's under attack." She quickly says in a panic. I place my hand on her shoulder, "they know that Jamie is dead Payton, they think his dad is weak, so a few wolves keep attacking them and challenging him for the rights of alpha." Regan says as Payton lets out another gasp in shock.

She turns to face me, her eyes already filling with tears. "We need to do something." She pleads. "We are my love, I've already asked Chris and Chloe to go with a few warriors." I say calmly, trying not to rattle her further. "That's not good enough." She says looking back at Regan. "We are all going, the children are to." She says walking into the nursery further. She picks up Michael off the floor, giving him a kiss to his forehead. She turns back to face me and Regan with a smile across her face, "I'm going to put an end to this once and for all." She says, placing Michael into his cot.

Today's the day we're going back to crescent moon pack, Payton sits up front with me as the children sleep peacefully in the back. Chris and Chloe are taking Chris car, 'you better keep her safe in that car' I growl through mind link at Chris. 'Always' he says a little to excited. As we drive I keep looking over at Payton, checking that she is ok. If I'm being honest about it I'm really worried for her. 'She will be fine, mate is stronger then you think.' He purrs trying to calm me down. 'I know she is trip, but this is a lot.' I say trying to make him understand. 'Your right but she's the true Luna Nathan, you need to trust her.' He says before blocking me, I let out a huff which causes Payton to look over at me. "Arguing with your wolf." She quietly says as she watches me drive. "Ye." I sigh out, keeping my eyes on the road. She places her hand on my thigh as she lets out a sigh, "Nathan I know your worried, but I need you to trust me, I said I was going to end this and I am." She says as she begins to rub circle on my thigh, my dick involuntarily twitches causing me to groan.

I look over at Payton as I raise my eyebrow, "if you do that my love, we are not going no where." I say seductively causing her to giggle. It isn't long till we reach the crescent moon grounds, as we enter the territory a wolf lets out a sorrowful howl, "something's wrong." Payton says looking out the window as we continue to drive. She turns her head to look back at me, "I will meet you at the pack house." She says before opening the car door and rolling out. Leaving me there speechless.
