Under attack

Payton POV

I roll out the car as I quickly shift into lily, landing on all four of my paws, I rush off into the direction we heard the howl. As we come to a clearing I am quickly struck with the stench of blood, following the smell I find a field full of dead wolves. I begin to walk through the field, searching for the wolf that made that howl.

As I reach the centre I turn around, looking at my surroundings, 'something doesn't feel right.' I say to lily as I go on full alert, she nods agreeing with me. I go to walk back out the field when I begin to notice eyes are watching me. I turn to see what happening as Thousands of wolves begin to completely surround me. I let out a small chuckle as I feel my rage build inside me, 'this ends today.' I say as lily begins to growl. A large black wolf steps forward, shifting back to his human form, "I'm alpha Damon from the northern moon pack, I'm here to challenge the alpha." He says puffing his chest out, causing me and lily both to laugh this time. "You are a fool." I shout through mind link, startling him. He steps back, so I step forward as lily shows him our teeth.

"H..how did you do that." He stutters as he steps back again. "You see I'm more powerful then you." Lily snarls before I shift back into my human form. "I'm the true Luna." I shout in my Luna voice, commanding everyone around me listen. "You are trespassing on my mates pack, I will give you three seconds to surrender, or you will die." I shout as I look at each and every wolf surrounding me. They all begin to growl as the alpha steps forward again, "never." He snarls back causing me to shrug. "Your funeral then." I say before I quickly shift back into my wolf. They all begin to charge as I stand there closing my eyes, I crouch low to the ground as one wolf gets closer. Lily lets out a loud bark causing the closet wolf to go flying, I look over at another wolf, moving my head upwards I lift the wolf and slam him into his friends. The alpha steps forward ready to attack causing me and lily to grin. 'Ready girl.' I say to excitedly lily. "Ready.' She growls back as the alpha charges for us. He jumps into the air, diving towards us, Lily steps a little out the way dodging his attack. Just as he comes close to us lily leans forward attaching her teeth to his neck, she rips out his throat before spitting it on the ground. The alphas body lands on the ground with a thud causing every wolf to look up at me in shock. "Who's next." I scream through all they're mind links. Without giving them a chance to answer lily begins to rip each and every wolfs throat out as she goes, she dodges and jumps avoiding every attack. She slides under one wolf, tearing him apart as she goes.

I'm about to slash the next wolfs throat, when a brown wolf with white socks jumps in front of me, tearing the wolfs throat out before I have a chance. 'Payton what's going on.' She mind links as she rip into the next wolf. 'The alpha wanted the pack, so I killed the alpha.' I say grinning in my mind. I rip the wolfs throat out in front of me, as Chloe tackles the next one to the ground. 'Chloe watch behind you.' I mind link her as a wolf tackles her to the ground. I stamp my paw down on the ground as I look at the wolf on top of Chloe. Closing my eyes, I look back up setting him on fire, I quickly turn and set the few wolfs surrounding me on fire as I run over to Chloe. She gets up from the ground limping which causes lily to growl, we turn and face the rest of the wolfs. Looking down at the ground we close our eyes as we feel energy begin to surge with in us.

We look up and charge, jumping in the air we land on four paws as I lift my head up, I lift every wolf there up. I lift my head higher and higher as they move higher and higher above the trees. When I put my head down I let go and they all fall to the ground, breaking every single one of there bones. "War is coming." A wolf says as they take there last breath. I look back over at Chloe who is looking at me in amazement, I let out a little chuckle as I walk over to her. 'Back to the pack house.' I mind link as I nudge her into the right direction. 'What was that.' She asks looking at me with her mouth open.

I shrug in my wolf form, 'I'm the true Luna.' I say as I begin to run. As we reach the pack house I quickly shift into my human form, grabbing the bag someone has left outside for me, I put the clothes on. Grabbing the clothes out the next bag, i turn and pass them to Chloe just as she finishes turning back into her human form. After Chloe is changed we both walk into the pack house, as soon as I enter I am instantly pulled into a tight embrace, "how are you my dear." Jamie's moms asks me soothingly as she hugs me tighter.

I pull away slightly to look at her, "I should be asking you that, your the one who lost your son." I say as my eyes begin to water. She nods as she pulls me tighter to her chest, "i know my child." She says as she strokes my hair. "What happened." Nathan says bringing us both back to the present. I pull away from Jamie's mother, as I walk towards Nathan, placing my hand on his head I show him what happened. He lets out a gasp of shock before he begins to growl. "Your powers are growing." He says as he opens his eyes, placing his forehead to mine. I nod unsure of how to feel about it, "we need to prepare." I say looking over at Jamie's parents. They nod as they begin to mind link the pack.

Half hour later the pack is all gathered outside, heading to the front I begin to speak. "Right everyone listen up." I shout at the top of my lungs, my voice thick with my Luna command. "Your land was just attacked by the northern moon pack, five of your warriors are dead." I begin taking a deep breath, as I begin to pace in front of them, "you need to prepare because it looks like war is coming. Training will be increased to four times a day, we will start at 6am sharp, if anyone and I mean anyone turns up late, you will have me to answer to." I shout growling at the end, I look over at every person in the crowd. "Do I make myself clear." I command in my Luna voice. "Yes Luna." Everyone shouts in unison. Jamie's parents step up then as they start speaking, tuning them out I walk back over to Nathan. 'You need rest my love.' He mind links me, wrapping his arm around my waist.

I nod looking up at him, 'I know my love, I will go to bed soon.' I answer him back giving him a smile. "Training will begin tomorrow so get some rest everyone." Jamie's mother's says dismissing the pack. "I think it's time for bed." Jamie's farther says wrapping his arm around his Luna, nodding at them both, we all begin to head inside.
