.05 | Friday Night Bites

The next day Elena told me everything on what happened between her and Stefan the night before, how she had a magical kiss with him and everything felt right, she's finally happy and I don't want to ruin that. Instead of Bonnie taking me to school Brian picked me up and I told him what Elena told me and surprisingly, Brian wasn't shocked. When we get to the school Brian takes my hand as we walk across to the school as we see Bonnie and Elena getting out of Bonnie's car. Brian and I catch up to them.

"I'm not saying don't date the guy, I'm just saying take it slow." Bonnie says.

"Hey guys." I say with a smile. Bonnie and Elena look back and smile at me and Brian.

"Hey." they both say. Elena turns back to Bonnie.

"You're the one who said go for it." Elena says. Bonnie turns to me and I nod, agreeing with Elena. Bonnie shrugs looking back at Elena.

"Now I'm saying take it slow." Bonnie says.

"Why the about-face?" I ask. Bonnie shoots me a quick glare. I shrug at her.

"It's not an about-face. You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field." Bonnie says.

"Oh, because I'm so that girl. Seriously what are you not saying?" Elena asks.

"It's stupid." Bonnie says.

"Bonnie?" Elena asks concerned.

"What?" Bonnie asks getting annoyed.

"Spill it out." I say with a smile. Bonnie sighs loudly.

"I accidentally touched Stefan and I got a really bad feeling."

"Is that it? Bonnie." Brian asks.

"It was bad, bad!" Bonnie says.

"Is this the whole mojo thing again?" Elena asks.

"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend." Bonnie says in a more concerned voice.

"And I love you for it, I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year and I'm starting to kind of feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what, Stefan is a big part of that." Elena said. Bonnie gives a small smile, then it disappears when Stefan walks over.

"Good morning Elena. Good morning Bonnie, Sophie and Brian." Stefan said nodding at all four of us.

"Hey, um, I gotta find Caroline. She's not answering her phone." Bonnie says. She quickly turned away.

"Bonnie, wait..." Elena called out, but Bonnie kept going. Brian and I look back at Elena and Stefan.

"She doesn't like me very much." he says. Stefan is smart if he knows someone doesn't like him, or it's just that Bonnie always gives him weird looks.

"She doesn't know you. She's my best friend. She's just looking out for me. But when she does, she will love you." Elena reassures him, "Here's what we're going to do. Are you free tonight?" Elena asks Stefan.

"Yes." Stefan says with a small smile.

"Perfect. Dinner, my house. 8:00. You, me, Bonnie, Brian and Sophie. You and Bonnie will have some quality time and she'll get to see what a great guy you are. Mission accomplished." Elena said with a big smile. I look up at Brian who smiled down at me.

Soon I see a football coming straight at the back of Stefan's head. Before I could say anything he turned around and caught the ball quickly. I looked at him in shock, one, how did he know it was coming his way? And two, how did he turn around so quickly? Stefan looks at the ball in his hand then throws it back to Tyler who had to jump back when he caught it. Elena chuckled and I could feel Brian eyes on me, I was still in shock.

"We'll see you guys later." Brian says taking my hand as I snap out of my shock phase. Brian and I start walking toward Tyler and Matt.

"What the hell bro!" Brain said kinda loud, nobody noticed.

"What? How was I suppose to know that would happen." Tyler says rolling his eyes as he picked up his backpack and put it over his shoulders.

"Why can't you just leave him alone, he didn't do anything to you." I say softly. Tyler stares at me then puts his focus somewhere else.

"Come on, let's go." I tell Brian as I lead him towards the school. The bell rings and we both head to our classes.

History soon comes along, I don't know if it's Mr. Tanner that makes History boring or if it's just the subject, but I almost fell asleep, again.

"World War II ended in...? Anyone got anything? Miss. Juan? 1945." Mr.Tanner said. I opened my eyes a little to see Elena in front of me leaning over to talk to Stefan who was right next to me.

"Psst. FYI... Our team sucks. They could use you." Elena tells him. I was confused, but quickly got that she was talking about him joining football.

"Can't." Stefan says.

"Pearl Harbor." Mr. Tanner continued walking toward Elena and Stefan's conversation. I quickly sat up opening my eyes all the way.

"I'm a loner." Stefan said. I look over at him, but he kept his eyes on Elena.

"Ms. Gilbert?" Mr. Tanner says. Elena quickly turns around on shock.

"Hmm?" she says.

"Pearl Harbor." Mr. Tanner repeated the question.

"Um..." Elena said.

"December 7, 1941." Stefan says. I look over at him.

"Thank you, Ms. Gilbert." the class chuckled.

"Anytime." Stefan said. The class laughed a little more.

"Very well. The Fall of the Berlin Wall." Mr. Tanner asked Stefan.

"1989." Elena and I looked over at Stefan, pretty much the whole class looked at him, "I'm very good with dates, sir." Stefan says

"Are you? How good? Keep it to the year. Civil Rights Act."

"1964."

"John F. Kennedy assassination."

"1963."

"Martin Luther King."

"'68."

"Lincoln."

"1865."

"Roe v. Wade."

"1973."

"Brown v. Board."

"1954."

"The Battle of Gettysburg."

"1863."

"Korean War."

"1950 to 1953."

"Ha! It ended in '52." Mr. Tanner yelled. By this time the class was looking from Stefan and Mr. Tanner.

"Uh, actually, sir, it was '53." Stefan said confidently.

"Look it up, somebody. Quickly." Mr. Tanner yelled. Some people quickly pulled out their phones to check.

"It was 19...53." a student said. I smirked and looked at Stefan who has a smile.

Class ended and Brian had football practice and today I decided to watch him. I sat on one end of the bleachers and started to opened my bag, about to take out my homework, but instead I see Stefan on the other side of the bleachers. I stand up, taking my bag and walk to him, he was looking at the ring on his hand.

"Nice ring. Is it a family one?" I ask sitting next to him. He looks at me in surprise.

"Uh..Yeah." he says. He looks at the jocks practicing on the field.

"You know this morning when you caught that football. We need people like that on the team, we suck." I tell him. He didn't answer, "What position did you play?" I ask.

"Wide receiver." he tells me keeping his eyes on the field.

"Well I think it would make Elena a little more happy that you at least try." I say. Stefan finally looks at me and slowly nods. I smile and pick up my bag and we make our way down to talk to Mr. Tanner.

"Varsity trails were last spring, Mr. Salvatore." Mr. Tanner said.

"I wasn't here then, sir." Stefan said.

"And you're not here now, as far as I'm concerned." Mr. Tanner said in a rude way.

"Mr. Tanner, Stefan and I realize that you and him didn't get off to the best start, and he apologizes for that. He played football before, wide receiver and I think you should give him a chance." I tell Mr. Tanner. I could feel Stefan's eyes on me. Mr. Tanner looked at Stefan.

"Well, I won't be asking you who won the Super Bowl in '71." Mr. Tanner said. Of course it was the Baltimore Colts, but I didn't say anything.

"'71 was the..." Mr. Tanner glared at Stefan. "Sorry I understand, sir."

"Just to see you get knocked off your ass. Borrow some gear, Go! Before I change my mind. Let's run it again!" Mr. Tanner yelled. I walk away with Stefan.

"Thanks." he said. I smile and nod.

"I'll see you at dinner." I say. Stefan smiles and walks away. I decide not to stay for the practice just because I have homework. I look over and see Brian looking at me, I wave at him and he smiles and waves back. I turn around and make my way toward the cheerleaders so I could leave. I see Elena and Bonnie, so I walk over to them.

"I'll see you when I get home." I tell Elena. She looks up with a smile as she nods.

"See you at dinner, Bonnie." I say before walking away. Bonnie glares at me and I smile as I leave.

As I walking down the parking lot I see a black old fashioned convertible driving down with Caroline it in, with the other Salvatore. Damon. I was confused, but it didn't bother me, Caroline can do whatever she wants with whoever she wants and I'm not going to bug her about it.

It took me a while to find the right outfit to wear tonight. I hate dresses, so I wore a grey tank top, shorts and a white, baggy, cotton jacket to cover my arms that get cold easily. When Elena came home with Bonnie they both looked at me in confusion and shock, they have never seen me where something nice in a long time.

"What's the occasion?" Elena asks.

"I'm finally ready." I tell them. Bonnie and Elena's eyes went wide as I said those words. They finally calmed down.

"Well it's about time." Bonnie said excitingly. Elena and I laugh as we walk in the kitchen to fix the food, Bonnie was talking about her witch abilities.

"You explain it. Late last night, I'm watching Nine-o, a commercial break comes on. And I'm like, I bet it's that phone commercial. And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Lari's and flies back. They take a picture." Bonnie complains. I look at Elena who rolls her eyes.

"Bonnie, that commercial is on a loop." I tell her.

"Fine. Well, how about this? Today I'm obsessed with numbers. Three numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14, and 22. How weird is that?"

"Maybe we should play the lottery." Elena says. I chuckle to myself, wouldn't that be amazing.

"Have you talked to your Grams?" I ask.

"She's just gonna say to because I'm a witch. I don't want to be a witch. Do you want to be a witch?" Bonnie asks me and Elena. I shake my head.

"I don't want to be a witch." Elena says.

"And putting it in a nice bowl isn't fooling anybody." Bonnie says to me as I pour the food in a nice bowl, I give Bonnie a small glare. Okay so we didn't cook the food, it was from last night, but no one knows except us three.

"Okay, serving spoons. Where are the serving spoons?" I ask looking around.

"Middle drawer on your left." Bonnie says. I open the drawer and see the spoons, I look back at Elena.

"Okay so you've been in this kitchen a thousand times." Elena says looking back at Bonnie.

"Yeah that's it." Bonnie says sarcastically. The doorbell rings and my heart stops, I look at Elena and she looks at Bonnie.

"Okay, he's here. Don't be nervous. Just be your normal self." Elena tells her.

"I think you're the one to not be nervous and be your normal self." I tell her. She chuckles and we both leave the kitchen to answer the door.

Elena opens the door to see Brian and Stefan waiting at the door, Brian looks uncomfortable. Elena opens the door wider as Brian walks in and greets Elena, he walks past her and looks at me. He was in a loose black shirt and jeans, he stares at me in amazement.

"You look amazing." he says. I smile and he takes my hand and we walk to the dinning room to eat.

While eating the good, a day old food, it was silent. I looked across the table and Brian was silently eating and keeping his head down.

"Did Tanner give you a hard time today?" Elena asks. Brian finally looks up.

"Well he let me on the team, so I must have done something right." Stefan says. "If it weren't for Sophie I wouldn't be on the team." he said. I smile at him and continue eating my food.

"Bonnie you should have seen Stefan today. Tyler threw a ball right at him and..."

"Yeah I heard." Bonnie said cutting Elena off. I decide to say something.

"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family?" I suggest. Apparently Bonnie didn't understand what I meant or she just didn't want to explain to him.

"Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad." I roll my eyes.

"No I mean about the witches." I say. Bonnie gives me a willing look. I lean into Stefan who sat next to me. "Bonnie's family has a lineage of witches, it's really cool." I say.

"I don't think cool is the word I'd use." Bonnie said quickly.

"Well, it's definitely interesting. I'm not too versed, but I do know that there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated here in the 1800's." Stefan said.

"My family came from Salem." Bonnie said going in detail.

"Really? Salem witches?" Stefan asks in surprise. I look at Brian who was also surprised.

"Yeah." Bonnie answered.

"I would say that's pretty cool." Stefan says. Brian looks at me then back to Bonnie.

"Really? Why?" Bonnie asks.

"Salem witches are heroic examples of individualism and non conformity."Stefan says.

"Yeah they are." Bonnie says with a small smile. I lean back in my seat with a smirk on my face. This is what I had to do to get Bonnie to actually take interest in Stefan for Elena.

Then the doorbell rang. I looked at Elena in confusion.

"I wonder who that could be." Elena asks.

"I'll get it." I say before she gets up. I could feel everyone's eyes on me, but I ignored them. When I opened the door I was jolted by a surprise, and I literally mean a surprise.

"Surprise! Bonnie said you were doing dinner, so we brought dessert." Caroline said holding a bowl with dessert in it with a big smile.

"Oh." I say as Caroline and Damon stand there.

"Hope you don't mind." Damon says with a smirk. I tilt my head and look at Damon. I don't know what it is about him, but for some reason I always get a bad feeling about him whenever he's around. Caroline walks in and waits for Damon.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan asks standing by me. Elena was behind him.

"Waiting for Sophie to invite me in." Damon says looking from Stefan and back to me.

"Oh, yeah, you can..."

"No, no, no. He can't, uh...he can't stay. Can you, Damon?" Stefan says cutting me off. I look at Stefan in confusion.

"Get in here." Caroline told him.

"We're just...finishing up." Stefan tells me. I look back at Damon who gives me a small smile.

"It's fine. Just come in." I say. I open the door wider and move out of the way so he could come in, I just hope I don't regret it.

"You have a beautiful home, Sophie." he tells me. Now I regret it.

"Thanks." I say slowly. I look over and see Brian by the staircase. I smile and walk up to him, I take both of his hands and look up at him.

"Wanna go upstairs?" I ask, hee smirks and nods and I lead him upstairs.

I open my bedroom door as I look back at Brian and he smiles. I shut the door behind me and watch as Brian sits on my bed and looks at me.

I walk to him and sit with one leg on one side and the other on the another side of his legs. He leans in and kisses me softly then it turns rough. Then he takes his shirt off and then mine goes off, his soft hands softly rub on my thighs. He leans back on my bed and I start to unbuckle his belt, but before we could get any further my door opens quickly. I cover myself with a pillow and look towards the door and see Damon standing there with a smirk on his face.

"What the hell! Get out." I say to him.

"I was just looking for the bathroom." he says in a calm voice.

"Like hell you were. Get out!" I yell at him. He puts his hands up and backs away closing the door. I look back at Brian and get off of him.

"I should probably go." he says putting his shirt over his head. I stay silent as I put my shirt over my head, tonight was a disaster. I look at Brian over my shoulder and sigh.

"Do you love me?" I ask turning to him. He looks at me in confusion.

"Of course I love you. Why would you say something like that?" he asks. I shrug and look away.

"Your not bored of me are you?" I ask. He gets up from the bed and looks at me.

"Is this why you wanted to do this?" he asks. I stand up.

"No." I immediately say. He takes a step closer to me and cups my cheeks in his hands.

"I will never, ever get bored of you. You are my girlfriend and I want to be ready when you are." he says. I nod slowly, then he pulls me into a hug.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay." he says kissing my forehead. He walks out of the room and I stand there in silence.
