"The night of the comet. Would you like a program?" Bonnie asks in her high, nice voice. Bonnie, Elena and I got suck passing out programs for the comet that's suppose to fly though the sky.

"You didn't call him?" Bonnie asks referring to Stefan.

"Or text. Then I realized we never even exchanged that stuff. We never got to the texting part." Elena says.

"That's the important part of trying to get in a relationship." I tell her.

"Isn't it?" Elena smiles as she hands a guy a program. "Besides the timing was wrong." Elena sighs.

"When is it ever right?" I ask.

"I'm not ready Soph." Elena says using my nickname while looking at the ground.

"And who is?" Bonnie asks.

"At least I put myself out there." Elena says.

"Is that what you're calling it?" Bonnie asks.

"What do you mean?" Elena asks looking at the ground again.

"All we're hearing is reasons why you can't." Bonnie points out. Elena knows it's true. And with that we end the conversation and keep passing out flyers.

Later that night we were in the middle of the town crowed by a bunch of people. I was walking with Brian and Elena. We ran into Matt and he lit Elena's candle that she had in her hand. I look up at Brian and he raises his eyebrows, I knew what he was thinking. I smile and let Elena and Matt have a little time together, but when I turn around I see that it didn't last long. I tapped on Brian's arm and he looked at what I was looking at.

Elena had walked away from Matt and leaned her candle into Stefan's. They both stared at each other for a second before they actually had a conversation. Elena looked back at Matt then she walked away from Stefan. I turned around and listened to the conversation that Bonnie, Tyler and Caroline were having.

"So how is Vicki doing since she just got out of the hospital?" Brian asks trying to get Matt's mind off Elena. He looked up at us.

"Uh...Really good. She said an animal attacked her when I asked her again so I'm thinking she was just drunk." Matt said. I nodded and zoned out from their conversation and keep my eyes on Stefan and Elena.

I couldn't exactly hear their conversation but I just keep wondering why Elena always keeps going back to Stefan, whatever it is about him that Elena likes, I like that I have never seen Elena so happy to even be near him or even hear his name. Then Elena blows out her candle and walks away from Stefan.

Was I wrong?

We all decided to get some food in the Grill so we all headed there. When we walk in we all sit at a table and wait to be waited on. I sat in between Brian and Tyler, such an awkward place it sit at. Before we could order our food Jeremy walks over with a worried look on his face.

"Hey has anyone seen Vicki?" he asks walking up to our table.

"You're her stalker. You tell us." Tyler says rudely.

"I can't find her." Jeremy says.

"She probably found somebody else to party with." Tyler says.

"Tyler!" I yell at him. He looks at me and tilts his head, "Enough." I say. Tyler looks back at Jeremy.

"Sorry, pill pusher, I guess you've been replaced." I glare at Tyler for continuing.

"What's with the pill pusher?" Elena asks.

"Ask him?" Tyler says. We all look back at Jeremy.

"You wanna do this right now?" Jeremy asks looking for a fight.

"Are you dealing?" Elena and I both ask together for the eighth time.

"She's never gonna go for you." Tyler says pushing Jeremy's buttons.

"She already did. Over and over and over again." Jeremy yells at him. My eyes go wide and I look at Elena, she looks at me.

"Yeah, right." Tyler says.

"You slept with Vicki Donovan? I mean, Vicki Donovan slept with you?" Caroline asks in shock.

"There's no way!" Tyler also says in shock.

"And I didn't even have to force her into it." Jeremy yells looking at Tyler. My attention goes to Tyler.

"Even Sophie saw it." Jeremy says looking at me. Everyone's attention went to me.

"I..." I look at Tyler who's face was red and angry. I then looked at Jeremy who's eyes were wide, "I don't remember." I say. Jeremy's eyes go back to normal.

"Okay you know what why don't we just shut the hell up and find my sister." Matt says.

"We'll check the back." Bonnie says pointing to Caroline and Tyler.

"I'll check the square." Matt said walking away.

"I'll come with you." Jeremy says following him.

"Oh, no, no, no. You are coming with me." Elena paused and dragged Jeremy back. Brian went with Matt to find Vicki, "So that's your game now, dealing?" Elena asks. I walk up next to her.

"I'm not dealing." Jeremy says looking at the both of us.

"Listen, we're sick of the touch love speech, Jer. It's clearly having no impact." Elena tells him.

"You, Sophie and Jenna, between the three of you. Enough already!" Jeremy yells at us.

"We can stop if you want. Send you to a therapist where you'll be forced to deal with it or to rehab where you'll sit in a group and tell someone stranger how you let your life fall apart. Or you could talk to me or Elena." I tell him. He gets closer to my face.

"I vote for none of the above." Jeremy says. And with that we took Jeremy home.

~

Elena and I were rushing up the stairs to find Jeremy. We heard noises in his room so we decide to look there.

"Jer?" Elena asks.

"Nope it's me, the hypocrite patrol." Jenna says going through Jeremy's stuff.

"What are you doing?" I ask suspiciously.

"I have become my worst nightmare. The authority figure." Jenna says looking around the room. "I have to violate a 15 year olds privacy." Jenna states walking over to Jeremy's coat stack. She goes through that and finds drugs.

"Jackpot." she says. "I see the hiding places haven't got anymore original." Jenna says holding up Jeremy's boot.

"And what brought this on?" Elena asks walking in the room. I stay.

"Your ass hat of a history teacher shamed me good yesterday." Jenna says as she keeps searching.

"You got Tannered." Elena jokes. "We've been there many times." Elena says looking back at me with a smile, I smile back.

"Discover the impossible, Miss. Summers." Jenna says imitation Mr. Tanner's voice. She then held up a bag of pot. "Thanks, like I didn't know I was screwing up." Jenna says in mad tone.

"Your not screwing up Jenna." I say.

"Yes I am because I'm not her. She made everything look so easy. High school, marriage having you and Jeremy." Jenna pauses and looks at Elena. This makes me feel so bad because they have no idea. "I can't do it." Jenna says sadly. "I'm gonna do the wrong thing and he is going to get worse. And it's going to be my fault." Jenna says as tears form in her eyes. She sits down on Jeremy's bed. "It's impossible." she sighs.

"That is the fear talking. You're a little scared that's all. We all are." Elena pauses and looks at the ground.

"I have to go do something, but are you okay?" Jenna smiles and nods. Elena smiles and stands up walking down the stairs, I follow her.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"To see Stefan." she said grabbing her keys. I nod and let her go. I walk back up the stairs and go into my room to write in my journal.

'Dear Diary,

Today was so crazy. The comet went by and as far as I know Bonnie was wrong about the comet, no blood was spilt tonight. Elena realized that she was only scared to put herself out there, at least to Stefan. I think she's doing the right thing now. It's making me wonder why I haven't put myself out there to Brian, maybe it's just because I'm nervous or that he's not in my interest anymore.

I mean we have been together ever since 8th grade, maybe he's getting boring. Whatever it is it's going to stop, either I break up with him or I have sex with him, but I may still be able to keep the sparks going if I do this. It may not be the right thing but I'm just following my childhood dreams.

S.'

And with that I put away my journal and turned off my light.
