Chapter 2

I woke up to the smell of food cooking already and I knew dad was up by now, which is not good for me at all. I hurry out of my room and I saw dad making a BLT sandwich for himself.

"Oh look you finally decided to get up. Hurry up, and get changed now, your going to school soon." Dad said

"Yes sir, right away sir." Lumina said

I walked back into my room and I got changed into some dark jeans, a long sweater, and I put on my sunglasses so no one saw my bruises to much. I walked back out of my room and dad was waiting for me outside now.

"Don't make any mistakes today Lumina, I will find out. And you better be quiet and not seen or heard, do you understand me?" Dad said

"Yes sir, I understand sir." Lumina said

"Good we are finally here." Dad said

Dad and I walked into the school, and went to the front desk and I got my school schedule now. I waved goodbye to my dad now, and he took off again. Thank goodness, I'm away from that monster now. I hope he finds a job today and soon.

I walked into the hallway and found room 206, and it was math class, oh great the subject I hate the most. I walked inside and I saw everyone staring at me including the teacher as well, and her name was Ms. Snow.

"Um, hi ma'am are you Ms. Snow?" Lumina said

"Why Hello, sweetheart, nice to meet a new student which we don't get many new students at all these day's. Yes sweetie, I'm Ms. Snow and welcome to math class. Go ahead and find your seat now." Ms. Snow said

"Ok, thank you ma'am." Lumina said

I walked in the back of the room and sat down near the window seat, and I watched Ms. Snow talk about math until class ended already. Finally I can get out of here now.

"Oh wait just one minute Lumina." Ms. Snow said

"Yes ma'am?" Lumina said

"If you need any help in class sweetheart, please let me know right away and I can help you study in math or in any subject you have ok." Ms. Snow said

"Yes ma'am, I understand ma'am thank you ma'am" Lumina said

"Alright sweetie you can go now." Ms. Snow said

I walked out of class and back into the hallway and I saw everyone was whispering about me, and looking at me up and down to. Which was making me feel uncomfortable again, but I just shrugged it off for now.
