Chapter 28. First Day of Marriage

Claire opened her room while slamming the bedroom door in annoyance and anger. Tonight should be her first night as Arjoona Harristian's wife. And Claire thought that she and Arjoona would live separately, but it seems Gerald doesn't let Claire do whatever she wants.

"I said already the agreement was written if you had to live together," said Gerald a few minutes ago, and Claire could only be dumbfounded. When she saw Arjoona, the man pretended to be looking away. It makes Claire wanted to choke Arjoona to death.

"Aishh, I hate that guy, why the hell can I marry him," said Claire to herself as she stomped her feet. From now on, she will not be able to sleep peacefully or be anywhere safely. Arjoona will spy wherever she goes. What's the point in maintaining her love relationship with Louis if Arjoona will stalk her anywhere? Ah, Claire missed her lover now. They haven't called each other at all today.

Claire takes her cellphone and swipes Louis's number and hopes that her boyfriend will hear her story. But Claire frowned. Instead, Louis didn't pick up the phone at all. Claire called him again but was not picked up.

"Where are you?" muttered Claire shrugged her shoulders in disappointment. She finally threw herself on the bed and again stomped irritatingly her feet in the air.

Meanwhile, Arjoona, who got a room near Claire's room, sat at the table and turned on the reading light. He took the paper and started drawing. Tonight was his first night staying at Winthrop's mansion. Tomorrow Gerald will return to England to take care of several things, including Claire's inheritance.

Don't know what Arjoona was thinking; he drew something he had never done. He sketched a woman, his hands seemed to move by themselves, and continued to sketch faces.

Arjoona has a talent for drawing well even though he is not a professional artist, but he can draw a design. And only this time, he drew someone's face. Over time the sketch shows the exact figure of he is drawing.

"How come it looks like Claire?" complained Joona while scratching his head. He sighed heavily to stop drawing. Tonight should be her first night as a newlywed. But what could he expect from a relationship like this? he can't even touch his wife unless he wants to continue their relationship.

Arjoona felt the drawer and saw the marriage certificate he had signed this afternoon. He still couldn't believe he was married now. He even saw the document and smiled slowly.

"What do I think, ah Joona," he muttered, shaking his head and then stood, leaving the marriage certificate on the table and headed for the king-size bed in his new room. Arjoona won't be able to sleep tonight, and neither can Claire. They kept going back and forth without knowing what would happen tomorrow.

The next morning, Arjoona, who is used to getting up early, is ready to go to the office when he comes out to meet Claire, who is also neat and fixing her earrings.

They had stopped and were stunned to see each other. It felt strange suddenly living in a neighbor's room under a roof. Arjoona clears his throat while carrying the bag. He was dressed, a t-shirt wrapped in long sleeves of the shirt. Claire was also beautiful and sexy as usual, wearing a dress with a skirt over the thighs and a blazer. Arjoona suddenly felt as if there was heat flowing in his body when he saw the sexy and beautiful Claire in the morning. He must clear his throat to neutralize his feelings.

Claire immediately walked, leaving Joona behind to the table about to have breakfast. Arjoona was also called by Gerald, who was ready at the table waiting for the two newlyweds.

"Why are you shy? You can sit close together," teased Gerald as soon as Arjoona took a seat one chair after Claire. Claire's face instantly blushed when she heard her grandfather speak like that with a mischievous smile. Meanwhile, the maid who was serving food giggled when she heard it. Claire had to glare at her to make the maid shut up.

"Are you going back today?" asked Claire breaking the ice. Gerald nodded and smiled.

"So when I leave, you both have to get along. And Claire, from now on, you have to obey Arjoona." Claire almost choked on her saliva at this.

"Huh ... why should I do that?" quipped Claire while looking at Joona, who was busy cutting waffles. As usual, he pretended not to overhear.

"Claire, Arjoona is your husband now, so you will stay to be together and help each other." Arjoona snorted with a heavy sigh. Whereas Claire was more extreme, she quickly put on a sulky face and pouted her lips.

"I don't want to hear about your fighting or something like that. One more thing, I don't want you to be close to Louis or Keith anymore" Claire was getting more annoyed and wanted to throw the plate. Arjoona glanced with the corner of his eye while smiling faintly.

"I gotta go now. Joona, I entrust Claire to you, please take care of her," said Gerald with a smile. Arjoona smiled and nodded. He got up and was about to escort Gerald to his car while Claire couldn't help but also tangled her hand to Gerald's arm to the mansion's front lobby.

Claire hugged her grandfather before he got into the car. Gerald, who always spoiled Claire, kissed her forehead while rubbing her hair softly. Arjoona, who saw the scene, smiled slowly at the girl, who looked very pampered to her grandfather.

"Don't you wanna stay longer here?" asked Claire. Gerald stroked her cheek and smile.

"Now, I am more relaxed because Arjoona is guarding you here." Claire just pursed her lips tightly. Gerald then turned to Arjoona and hugged him.

"Take care of yourself," he said while hugging.

"Yes, sir," Gerald patted Joona's back before finally he lowered his head and got into the car. Gerald left while waving at his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, who was standing in the lobby.

After Gerald left, Claire turned around and was about to head back inside. She saw Arjoona, and her smile vanished. She glared at her husband.

"Don't think I'll obey you, in your dream!" Claire spat out suddenly. She then turned around and went back inside. Arjoona, who saw Claire walk on the stairs, then smiled and shook his head. He also followed Claire to go back inside.

Arjoona and Claire didn't go together. They got into separate cars so that none of the company's employees would know about their marriage. The mansion distance to the company is closer than from Joona's house. So Arjoona arrived 10 minutes earlier than usual.

Meanwhile, Claire, who had been unable to contact Louis last night, tried to get his boyfriend again. The phone was still ringing, and after a few tries, Louis picked it up.
