Chapter One

Little Hyung-ji stood by the lake clenching her fingers tightly , it seemed like tears had ran down her eyes ,she kept staring at the sky filled with stars . she looked at the lake as the ripples calmed down revealing a clear reflection of the stars in the sky . She smiled deeply and said **"I knew she is a star, my very own star!!"**

**THREE WEEKS AGO**

**"Kim ssook …..Mrs kim!! ..."** Hee joo called out to her friend who seemed lost in thought

**"Oh am sorry ..what do you want ?..'** Kim Ssook said regaining consciousness and attended to the customers who were on the queue as she mouthed a thank you to her dear friend

**"phew we are finally done"** Hee joo said as they locked up the shop ..looking at her friend **.."Ssook are you okay?"**

**"huh ??…oh sorry did i space out again"** Kim Ssook said wearing a rather weary smile

**"whats wrong with her now?"** Hee joo asked as they walked home after locking the shop

(Smiling)**"you always see through me but its not the girl but am just worried , she's always hiding, too shy to make friends , she doesn't even eat much these ..."**

(Patting her on the shoulders )**"its okay your kid is just 8 she's going to grow out of the phase i mean she's just shy like her mom"**

They both end up laughing as they parted ways waving at each other .

Mrs kim Ssook , a kind and peaceful woman , married at a very young age and ended up getting pregnant at 20 . She successfully gave birth but lost her husband who abandoned her . Kim Ssook has been the sole provider of her family ever since . To kim Ssook her entire world is her only daughter and child ..Kim Hyung ji who she strives to give the best she can afford . Taking up three part time jobs , a sales woman , delivery for a pizza factory and cleaner for a hotel but she doesn't complain , she only wants her kid's happiness.

**"Hyung ji …..hyung ..mummy is home"** kim ssook said taking off her shoes by the door and putting on her slippers .

**"hyung?"** kim ssook went over to the kitchen to drop off the bags she had before going upstairs to look for her daughter . Getting to her daughter's room she carefully knocked ….but had no response then she knocked again

**'come in'** a very calm tiny voice said

She gently walked inside

**'hey ....are you okay ?'** kim ssook said to her only daughter who sat crawled up at the corner of her bed staring at her

Ssook's heart ached ..why is her daughter so shy? …
