The Start of Summer
Theia's POV
I awoke to the offending sound of the alarm. I reached out and tossed the thing across the room, I wasn't worried about the crash it made. I was the only one here anymore. Ever since my adopted parents had their twins, they left the house to me and moved them to a bigger house. Winny said it was because she didn't want the kids crying to keep me up with school and everything. But I know it was because they no longer wanted me around after having their own biological children. I sighed and rolled out of the bed, went over to the dresser, got out a pair of dark blue jeans and light red shirt, so that I could shower and dressed for school.
I quickly showered, using my Shea butter and vanilla scented body wash and shampoo. I looked at myself in the mirror and was just disappoint at how average I think I look. My eyes looked grey but often changes color, people tend to avoid me because of it. My hair was almost a sliver-white and when they light hit it, it would shine like I had highlights of a rainbow in my hair. Everything about me was completely set up to have me as an outcast. I keep waiting for the day, I'll find my mate and finally be loved and wanted.
Alpha Fair, wouldn't accept me into the pack because I was so different, he let me stay on the pact land because Winny and Fred adopted me but other than that I was a no one. I shrug and continue getting ready for the last day of school. I took the stairs two at a time and dashed into the kitchen, made some toast and started walking towards school. When I reached just outside the parking lot, I held my breath as I looked around for the demon spawns of my pack.
Justin and his group of friends loved to beat and pick on me when something upset one of them, other than that I was normally invisible. Seeing no one I walked half fast paced hoping to check no one's attention, as I reach the school door, I let out a breath I'd been holding. Praying that I wouldn't run into the vermin, I opened the door and came face to face with Satan himself, Justin. I turned to make a getaway, being as in human form I am faster than anyone of the demons. As I make my first step, I feel myself jerked back and chocked, realizing Justin had a hold of the hood on my hoodie.
'Shit' I thought to myself
"Hey, Mutt, where do you think you're going? We need to have a talk so get your ass in here." He snaps at me.
"Yes Alpha, of course Alpha." I whisper back my eyes looking at his shoes. Justin is Alpha Fair son; he will be the next ruling Alpha when his father steps down.
Justin pulls me into the hallway and starts walking towards an empty room. My heart drops when he closes the door after pulling me in behind him.
He turns to face me "You need to make sure to be extra invisible for the next few weeks. The pack is having guests from a few different packs to strengthen our pack contacts of peace. You will not, I repeat, YOU WILL NOT, cause any issues with the guests or I will kill you myself. My father has only let you live and stick around because of Beta Fred, but I won't care if you mess this up."
I shrink back from him 'Great, more people who are going to treat me like crap when they happen to notice me, and then I'll get punished from Justin too....' I sigh lightly, I just can't catch a break.
"Of course, Alpha, I won't so much as breath or look in the direction of your guests." I say with a nod.
"Good" Justin states with a triumphant smile on his face. He turns as if he is going to leave, and I smile inside thinking I've gotten off from trying to run from him earlier, but then he stops. Justin turns back to me, with a twisted smile on his face in place of the triumphant one, and I shiver.
"By the way I almost forgot, you tried to flake out once you saw me at the door, Mutt. What do you think I'm ugly or am I just too much to be around." he sneers
"N-n-n-no, no n-n-n-nothing of the sort Alpha, I d-d-d-didn't realize it was y-y-y-you I was just surprised someone was there." I stutter, back pedaling away from him across the room.
"You're running again..." He growled and then sprang at me.
I felt his fist in my stomach and lost all the air in my lungs, as I started to fall to the ground, he punched me in my jaw, I felt the sickening crack, before I could really register that my jaw was broken, he kicked me in the chest and I flew back across the room. I felt my back and head connect with the window in the room. My back started to feel warm and black spots started to cloud my vision, I tried to keep standing, to walk forward, but my knees betrayed me. I collapsed to the floor the world going dark and just before I passed out, I heard Justin say "Next time don't run Mutt, just take your punishment." His laughter kept echoing in the darkness.
