Luo Li's reason behind leaving

Aman's eyes widened at the scene in front of him. He did not know what happened and suddenly Luo Li was requesting him to let her go back. And she was not only requesting, she was almost begging.

He felt grateful that they did not bring a driver. The delay of the flights was quite uncertain. They did not want their driver to wait for them if something happened like that. Everybody wanted to go back to their families as soon as possible. The plan was after their flight the driver would take the car back.

Seeing her like this Aman took a step back. He almost stumbled when he hit a car behind him.

He looked around at their surroundings. He felt relieved when he found from where they were standing no one was standing.

He quickly knelt on the ground. His face was worried, he was guilty too because he thought it might be his fault somehow. He gently held Luo Li's folded hands into his.

"Sister Li! Stop it. What are you doing? Why are you kneeling?" He asked her as he tried to stop her from folding hands in front of him.

But Luo Li would not budge no matter how much he tried.

Luo Li was a young woman who had very strong control over her emotions. She was taught to have control over her emotions in every situation by her mother.

The direness of the situation did not matter to her. Even in this situation, she did not let a tear escape her eyes. She did not want to tell Aman the real reason behind her actions. Because she did not want Aman to pity her. There was also a part of her that did not want to leave Aman alone when Kevin Evans was planning something vicious. After all, the main reason for her to enter their lives was to help Aman with his revenge.

However, a large part of her wanted to go and see Wang Xian as soon as possible.

Her facial expressions were rigid but polite enough.

She shook her head, "No, Your Highness, I can't tell you the reason but please permit me to go back. I won't stop until you grant me your permission."

Aman was completely speechless by her words. He did not know why Luo Li was so adamant about going back. If it happened in some other circumstances he might let her go back. But now he could not when Kevin Evans was searching for bait to lure him. When he and Mei Wei would not be here.

After hearing her words, his composure went still. He let go of her hands. His expression hardened. He looked at the ground and sighed, "Sister Li…..you know that I can't let that happen you have to come with us. I can't let you live with those beasts! Your parents gave your responsibility to me. Please try to understand."

Luo Li looked at him, sharply, "Aman, I can take care of myself. You don't need to be held responsible for me. You are younger than me."

"But I am your elder in position," Aman replied without looking at her. His voice was heavy.

Luo Li sighed, "Yes, you are right."

She didn't say anything after this. She just sat there without even requesting him anymore.

Aman was helpless, "Please sister Li get up. Are you going to sit here all night?"

Luo Li again did not say a word. Aman looked sideways and said, "At least, tell me the reason why you want to go back."

However, Luo Li did not want to change her attitude. She slowly shook her head.

Aman grabbed his hair in frustration. He took a deep breath and said, "Please sister Li. Tell me the reason behind you doing this. It's either this or you know I can force you right?"

Luo Li knew what Aman said was true. He could force her to go with them. She could not afford that. She, at last, started speaking. But what she said shocked Aman completely.

"Wang Xian met with an accident at the war zone."

Aman's eyes grew bigger. He was extremely distressed as he heard this. He asked, "What? Sister Li? What happened? Why didn't you tell me before? Tell me everything."

Luo Li began explaining to him, "I- I don't know what happened or how he is. Then- there was an unexpected attack there. He- he was also there. I received a call from an unknown person who found Wang Xian's phone. I think he was a villager."

"Please, Your Highness, let me go back. I even told you the reason."

"Oh! Sister Li, why didn't you tell me before that your boyfriend is in danger?"

"Of course, you can go." After hearing this, her eyes lit up. She looked at Aman with a 'really?' look.

Aman smiled and nodded his head. Luo Li grinned like she got heaven with just a nod. She got up and started throwing her luggage inside the car.

After she was securely sitting in the driver's seat, she looked at Aman like she was asking for permission one last time.

She looked at Aman whose face was covered with lines of tears, "Don't wait for anybody's permission when your loved one is in danger. Not even mine," he said with a distant look in his eyes.

Luo Li nodded her head constantly. The smile was not leaving her face but her eyes were filled with worry too. The worry for her Wang Xian.

She ignited the engine and sped off towards the direction of her Wang Xian…

Aman looked at the back of the car. He wiped his tears, 'If only…' he thought. He looked at the watch and found that it was getting late. Mei Wei must be waiting for him.

He looked at the star-filled sky one last time and went towards the direction of the airport.

*****

He entered the airport. It was his first time entering an airport. The humans were walking in from here and there. He was awestruck by this.

The lights of the airport were mesmerizing him. He was completely intrigued by the different outfits of people.

He was like a child who went to a fair for the first time in his life. He was looking at one thing first second and at the other in the second. Some people were giving him weird looks because of this.

He found Mei Wei waving at him. He went in his direction. Mei Wei asked him, amusingly, "Hey! Why are you behaving like this? People might think you are crazy?"

Aman blushed hard as he scratched the back of his head. Mei Wei pinched his cheeks, "Everything's alright, my cutie pie! Don't be embarrassed. Who cares what people think about us? I only care about you."

Aman looked at the ground embarrassed. Mei Wei looked behind him and found that Luo Li was not anywhere to be seen.

He asked, "Where is Sister Li?"

Aman quickly lied to him, "Oh! She is not coming. Her parents called her back home for a family emergency. She apologized for not coming with us."

Mei Wei asked, "Is it something serious that she had to leave like this?"

"No, she said it's just a family problem. We don't need to worry."

Mei Wei agreed slowly nodding but still looked unsatisfied.

Aman whined, "Please, my prince. Let's go. I know it will be only two of us but we will fully enjoy it and bring a lot of gifts for Sister Li okay?"

Hearing the words of only two of us, a dreamy look appeared on Mei Wei's face. Aman looked awkwardly at him, he waved his hand in front of Mei Wei's face, "My prince, are you there?"

Mei Wei got out of his trance. He shook his head to clear the colorful thoughts of his mind and said, "Yes, I am alright. Let's go and check-in. I checked the flight is on time." Aman agreed and they both went for check-in.

The place they were going to, was still a mystery for Aman. However, he trusted Mei Wei completely…

*****

"My prince, we have even arrived safely and unpacked the luggage. Can I open the curtains?" Please?"

In a cozy room of a hotel, Aman could be heard requesting Mei Wei a weird request. The room was specifically designed to stay warm for its occupants. The soft rug on the floor was quite comfortable to walk around.

The lights around the room were all lit up. A small chandelier at the center of the ceiling was enhancing the beauty of the room.

However, the unnatural thing was all the curtains around the room were closed tightly. Although it was daytime due to the closed shades it looked like a night from inside the room.

Both of them had arrived in this room about an hour ago. They unpacked their luggage and took a rest.

But now, Aman was starting to get impatient. But why wouldn't he? After all, it was his first time seeing the actual snow.

Mei Wei chuckled, "Aman, have some patience. I will take you out myself. You have waited for such a long time. Please wait for a few minutes." Mei Wei replied to Aman while finding some clothes.

Aman did not want to be patient now, he said, "But, my prince. You are not letting me see the snow from windows."

"Oh, Aman it will spoil the surprise. It is very cold outside. First, wear these warm clothes", he said while giving him warm clothes and helping Aman to put a cap on his head.

He looked at Aman, quite satisfied now. Aman was completely covered in clothes from head to toe. Only his face could be seen. He complained, "Why so many clothes?"

Mei Wei explained to him like a child, "Because, my dear, it is very cold outside and I don't want you to catch a cold."

But Aman did not buy that. He looked at Mei Wei who himself did not wear as many clothes as him. He laughed, "My prince, it's my duty to take care of you."

Mei Wei smiled gently, "Let me take care of you." But the words, 'for the whole life' were left unsaid. He pulled out a black blindfold.

Aman whined like a child, "My prince, not again. You put that thing until we reached the room. Not again."

It was true that Mei Wei did that. Aman was so excited that he did not hear the name of the country in which they were currently in. But as soon as they left the airport, Mei Wei put a blindfold on his eyes due to it being a surprise place.

He fell asleep halfway in the car when he got up, he found himself lying on the bed in this room. Mei Wei was taking great care of him. He even unpacked his luggage.

Mei Wei gave him puppy dog eyes, Aman sighed helplessly, "Okay it's last time."

Mei Wei nodded constantly and covered his eyes.

He held Mei Wei's hand and started walking. He heard the opening of the door. When he stepped outside, though he was completely covered he still felt a bone-chilling wind pass through his body.

But he quickly adjusted this with his secret technique. They stopped at one moment. Mei Wei walked behind him and untied his blindfold.

Seeing the scene in front of him Aman gasped. The scenery was so beautiful that it was difficult to describe it in words.

He only muttered one sentence, "Is it paradise?"
