"Shweta get up or you'll be late." her mother shouted from kitchen. I woke up after I heard my mother shouting. She is my all time alarm. Even though I set up the alarm its her voice that wake me up. But today is the day every student is afraid of.
You are right! today is the result day. Ufff! I don't know what is going to happen. My father is trying to calm down my mother. I was not much nervous. But it was the so called result day- the day which decides your life and death in an Indian family.
I also started panicking somewhat seeing my mother frecking out of tense. Deep inside I knew that I will get good rank to get into AIIMS. Soon results were uploaded. More than me, my mother was more nervous as a mother always wishes and wants best for her child. Me and my father couldn't help her.
I brought my enrollment card from my room, and said to mom, "Mother please calm down. Don't panick." I opened up the required site. While my father was telling mom that "Calm down wifey. Believe on our daughter. Ok!?"
"Ok", my mother said smiling. Then I screamed "aaaaahhhhh".
Both of them asked to me why I screamed. I was speechless. I turned the laptop and showed her the screen.
Tears started to flow from their eyes... I asked them what happened, then they suddenly hugged me. I got AIR 2. They were really happy and I was too happy seeing them happy. I finally took my first step towards my dream. Yes my dream is to be the best Surgeon of the country.
I got admission into my dream collage AIIMS Delhi. It is the dream collage of not only mine but to all the medical aspirants. But very few people get their admission to study.
Hello guys! My name is Shweta Singh. I am 18 years old, a medical aspirant. Well I always wanted to be a Surgeon. I am a cheerful, kind, sweet and a nerdy. I didn't had any friends other than Riya who was my schoolmate and now she is an Arts student. My hair is black which well matches with my eye colour with some brown shades. I have an Indian body tone (which is not fairly fair ).
Just after the emotional part my mom literally called each and every relative of mine to tell them about it. Most of my relatives congratulated me. Those whom I didn't even knew also wished me luck. Some of my relatives were kind of jelous.
Most of my schoolmates congratulated me on my social media account. But in all of them was most excited and happiest was Riya. She even put lots of stories and a long post on the result using #nerdyfriend.
The top five rankers were the headlines of the most of the news channels. Even many news channel contacted us to share our experience. Most of them knew me little bit as I was the state and region topper of class 12th also...
My parents were extremely proud and my brother (elder brother) was still taunting me as nerdy as I was not a socializer. But from inside he was proud on me too. Finally in the evening after having a royal lunch and bunch of snacks he praised me on call....
My mom ordered lots and varieties of sweets, packed them from her own hands and distributed in the whole neighbourhood. I guess my neighbours were also proud on me.. The days passed and I started to pack my things slowly and slowly.....
