He's a creep!

Ashley widened her eyes.

"What do you mean your Highness? I have no use for you–I mean I'm useless. I'm not even a vampire. I'm just a weak pathetic human." she said and looked at him like she had just heard the most ridiculous thing in her life.

She couldn't believe it. She didn't deserve the privilege. He was willing to let her stay in the Palace? This was the Palace they were talking about!

For what reason could have made him willingly take her in. She wasn't even smart. She was weak. She didn't know a single thing about this kingdom. Overall, she was f*cking useless! She suddenly thought of something and where that idea didn't know where it came from.

'Maybe...' She gasped.

Did h-he... Did he fall in love with her by chance? Something like love at first sight. Although she found it cliche for this to happen, she suddenly had the thought that it was possible. Why else would he let her stay? He would only do that if he didn't want them to part. If he wanted her as his bride.

As far as she was concerned, he didn't have a queen yet. Meaning he wasn't married and he certainly wasn't engaged. She recalled all of these from the servants who answered her questions honestly. It wasn't like she was interested in him or something but she couldn't help but wonder. After all, they dine alone and he didn't mention anything to her. However, isn't it a bit too fast... Maybe, he was just interested in her or—

But why her? She wasn't even that pretty. Yes. she was pretty, enough to be popular in their whole university but still. If you compared him to her—she would look like a clown. What made him enamoured with her. Did he find her irresistible? Impossible! She looked like a dying cow when she first entered this world. She realized her thoughts were foolish.

What if...

That's his thing!

He liked girls who looked like lepers. Perhaps, those were his type that's why he isn't even married yet! It was impossible that no beauty dared to seduce him. That would be bullsh**!

If that's the case, then that means... He's a creep!!!

'Oh my God! What do I do? Do I tell him I don't like him? What if he gets mad? Will he punish me like last time? What if he throws me off a tower again but this time he won't save me anymore? Oh my! What do I do?!'

She looked at him while he seemed to be explaining something to her. She didn't understand because what he said only went out of her other ear. She was basically not paying attention. Busy with her thoughts about how she'll reject him and how she'll possibly survive...

Her expression changed from pity to that of fright. It seems that he'll be single for the rest of his vampire life.

What a shame!

Such a handsome guy! He was even of high status yet... He's a psycho. Totally a waste!

What if he was also a sadist?! Like he was into bondage and the stuff they do on fifty shades of...

Wait do they even have those in here?

She was sure *** toys didn't exist during the middle ages. But what does she know?! This was another world after all! Maybe, they already had—

"Are you alright?"

He interrupted her from her disturbing thoughts. Her silence and facial expression was somewhat suspicious. Like something unspeakable was going on inside her head. She looked so horrified looking at him. Like he had a contagious disease. She awkwardly shifted her gaze and cleared her throat. She started eating again, clearing away those crazy ideas she had just now. Taking her silence as an agreement he proceeded with his discussion.

"As I was saying... I was thinking of making you a citizen of Altria so that you won't have to worry about staying here." he repeated.

"Citizen?"

He nodded.

Ashley's mouth turned into an O-shape.

'That... That was possible?'

Well, he was the Emperor after all. He had the power to do that. But a citizen... They had developed citizenship here?

"Besides, you already have a high status. You are a legacy from the Goddess. It is my duty to ensure that you are safe and protected. Or else I'll fail Amilia." he explained.

Ashley Paused for a bit when she heard those words, not knowing if she would be ashamed or relieved. His explanation just proved that her assumptions were wrong about him. He didn't fall in love with her! And he certainly wasn't a creep!

How can she make an assumption like that? That idea was so out of this world... Where did that possibly come from?

She wanted to deny that it came from her but who was she fooling!

"Is the food not good?" asked Ramier when he noticed Ashley stopped eating.

"No..no the food's alright... I was just thinking." she said as she continuously shook her head. If he only knew what she was thinking... He would be at loss. Her thoughts were totally unpredictable.

After a couple of minutes they were done with their dinner. Ramier stood up while Ashley followed him and stood up as well.

They walked towards the hallway which was outside the dining hall. Ramier stopped and called a servant to come to him.

"Escort the legacy to her quarters." he commanded and the servants obediently lowered her head.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

He then turned to look at Ashley.

"Goodnight.. Ashley." he said.

Hearing his voice, Ashley was dazed.

'Was it just me or his voice sounded ...hmm... how you put it...husky?'

"G-Goodnight your High—"

"Call me Ramier.."

She looked at him stunned, her heart skipped when he gave her a slight smile.

"Goodnight ... Ramier..."

He nodded and turned around to leave. Ashley looked at his retreating back. She wanted to hit him for no reason.

He was... Weird.

The servant cleared her throat behind her.

" I'm sorry my lady but.. We have to get going." the maid said with a small voice.

She glanced at the servant with an embarrassed face. She scolded herself for spacing out all the time.

"Oh right! Yes.. Sorry" she said and turned around to leave.

Ramier chuckled. He wasn't still far away from her when he heard the servant speak. She must've been in daze again.

He ,himself, was also deep in thought.

He didn't know why he stopped her from saying those words. He made her say his name.

He didn't know why but he was irritated every time she said 'Your highness', 'Your Majesty' or other things like that.

He didn't know why. Maybe, it was because she was... different.
