Chapter 46
"Surprise!"
I was awoken by the sound of a very loud party horn. I sat up slowly rubbing my eyes
Gathered around my bed were: Stephanie, Leslie, Tiffany, Amber, Gerald, Steve and the maids
Only two people were missing; my mom and Drew. Nevertheless, I was happy
"Where's mom?" I asked
"I don't know" Gerald answered. Steve looked sober and much better
"Hey dad"
"Hi princess. Happy birthday" he pecked me on my forehead
Leslie rolled a wheel tray, on it was a three stepped cake. I clapped excitedly like a kid
How could I not? It was big and pink. She carried the cake and put it on my bed
There were nineteen pink candles on it
"Make a wish dear" Steve said
I closed my eyes and made my wishes
1) For good health and success for me, my family and friends
2) For my mom to come back to her senses
3) For more money
4) To get back with the man I love
I opened my eyes and blew out my candles. Everyone clapped
"Happy birthday to you" They sang. I shed a few happy tears
I wish my mum was here. She was never there for me when I needed her the most
"Hip hip hurray!" They chanted
"Thank You so much guys" I said
I'm so grateful. These people weren't friends anymore, they're family now
We all had a big group hug. I giggled happily. I just couldn't stop smiling
"Okay enough, where are my presents?"
They laughed. Typical me. They brought out their gifts one by one
Leslie gave the cake to one of the maids to keep in the refrigerator
Tiffany came first by handing me a small box. I opened it to see a pink glittered Rolex watch
"What? How the hell did you get it in pink?" I was so shocked
"My dad knows the owner so he told his workers to customize it"
"Wow. Thank you so much"
"Anything for you"
I hugged her and kissed her on the cheek
Amber was next, she gave me the new Chanel bag. I thanked her for it. It was so beautiful and expensive too
Gerald brought out a crown embedded in diamonds. He placed it on my head and gave me matching pair of glittery shoes
"Oh my gosh. You got me an all diamond crown!"
"You deserve it. You're royalty princess"
"Thank you"
Stephanie gave me a Mac book, a knowing smile on her face. I chuckled, she was the goofiest amongst us
She broke the old one, since then I've been too busy to get a new one. On the laptop 'Bella' was designed in pink glitter stones
Leslie got me a designer jacket with the word "Queen" designed at the back in pink cursive letters along with three boxes of sneakers
The maids got me something too, they all contributed money to buy me a Louis Vuitton hand bag and a designer pair of shoes
The love in this room so unreal. I almost broke out crying at the sight. There was a permanent smile on my face. Nothing could spoil my day. Nothing at all
Steve was left. I wonder what he got me. I was so excited
"I saved the best for last" he said
What could get any better than this? I didn't know I was in for a treat till he handed me a set of car keys
"Its downstairs"
I screamed. Before any word could be said I dashed downstairs and went outside
There it was, a black Maybach tied in a pink ribbon. I ran to it and hugged it
They laughed at my actions but I couldn't care less. They even took pictures, knowing the girls they'd probably post it on Snapchat
I'm glad my pj's were sexy so I'm sure the pictures would turn out well
I can't wait to see what the rest of the day holds

"We're going shopping later today" Stephanie told me
The girls and I were walking towards school. I dressed up in pieces of everything I got; Leslie's jacket and a pair of sneakers, Amber's bag and Tiffany's watch
I also drove my new car to school
"Oh really? Can a friend of mine tag along?"
I was thinking of calling Josh to join us
"Naah its a private shopping spree for a special occasion"
Hmm, are they planning a surprise party for me? To think I had a bad feeling about today, pfft bad feeling my ass
"Happy Birthday Beauty"
Those were the words on the banner at the school entrance
Students gathered at the hallway. They sang me 'happy birthday' as I came in. Happiness was an understatement right now
"Thank You all so much. I love you"
The speakers came on
"Attention students of West view high. This is your principal speaking"
Everybody froze. Oh no, was she angry with us?
We stood still anticipating what she was about to say next
"I just wanted to say" she continued. Silence. "Happy birthday Bella Martins"
Everyone cheered. I sighed in relief
"Thank you Principal Harvey" I shouted
"Anytime love. Have a wonderful day"
The speakers went off
"Hey" Madison hugged me "happy birthday babe"
"Thank You"
"I just found out this morning from the blog so I quickly got this for you on my way to school"
She handed me a gift bag. In it was a matching bracelet and earrings plus an Alexander Wang perfume
I hugged her tightly.
"Thank you so much"
I haven't even known her for a week yet she got me a gift. That's so thoughtful of her
"You're welcome. I'll see you later b. I have class now"
"Okay"
I heard my phone ring, I brought it out from my handbag
It was a text from Josh
Josh: Meet me in the parking lot
Me: I'll be there in a few
I walked out of the school and into the parking lot
I spotted Josh leaning against his car. I ran to hug him
"Hey you"
"Hey, happy birthday"
"Thank you"
He gave me a gift bag. I've been receiving gifts since morning. This is a good sign
Inside the bag was a small teddy bear, a rose, diamond pendant with my name on it and a pair of Manolo blahnik heels
"Oh my god, how did you know I love manolo?"
"I guessed. I know you like expensive things. I didn't know what to get you"
"Thank you so much"
I embraced him. I heard footsteps. Drew was passing but he stopped when he saw us
"Hi Drew" I said awkwardly
"Hello Bella"
He walked away. I pouted at his retreating figure. He didn't even wish me happy birthday
"You'll be fine" Josh assured
I hope so. I really hope so
