CHAPTER FIVE

" So who's the next joint on?" Tori asked, as she watched her brother and Àine play Injustice 2. "Lad, how long has it been since we smoked that last one?." Àine said in a irritated voice while losing her match to Junior. "It's been about an hour almost I'm getting hungry and bored." The match was over as Àine and Junior got up and stretched. "Let's go out and see what food restaurant is open, I got a taste for taco Bell plus this is a good time to find some nightly cases to solve." Junior said. "Can I join lad?" Àine asked eagerly. "I guess but only minor cases. There's a spirit by the river who killing animals." He said giving her a chance to experience the life of solving paranormal cases, even minor cases can turn ugly though but then he and Tori was with her. He had nothing to worry about especially since he knows about Tori's' dagger abilities, suddenly a piercing scream was heard from the outside. The three friends looked at each other. "I'm guessing a banshee is running loose?" Asked Àine. "No that's not a banshee that's a human in danger let's get going ladies we have no time to spare." Junior said as they stepped outside, looking around they saw no signs of danger just paranormals walking around minding their business. "Tori I want you to do a visual sweep of the area and block out paranormals, focus on human aura I'm positive our ears heard the same scream." Tori did what her brother asked and closed her eyes, focusing on finding the human in trouble .With in seconds, Tori saw the red aura which stood for human while purple aura stood for paranormals. There was purple aura too and it was a very ominous. "We have to move and fast at least a block over that way." Tori said rushing through an alley the led to the next street over, once they made it through the alley what they saw was unbelievable. Standing over an unconscious woman was a huge gargoyle. "Uh lads, is that a gargoyle?" "You damn right tha-." Junior stopped in mid sentence a familiar smell filled his nose, turning to his right he saw that his sister light up a joint. "Really?" "It boosts my senses." Junior sighed and the gargoyle roared. "Lads a little help would nice don't cha think?" Àine's said as she was already engaged in battle, she attacked from behind stabbing the gargoyle in the back with a dagger. The gargoyle ran around furiously screaming in agony. "Àine move." Junior said as he ran towards the gargoyle, Àine jumps down and ran towards Tori, the gargoyle turned to attack the fairy but Junior was quicker catching the gargoyles arm and judo flipped the creature. The ground shook as the monster was slammed completely into the concrete, Tori likes to see her brother in action, mixing his psychic energy with his strength and fighting skills. His strength intensifies tremendously, causing his attacks to feel very devastating to his foes. The gargoyle was dead from impact, the three gathered around the monster, It's skin was green and leathery looking, the mouth was open showing the teeth that protruded out of it's mouth, it's muscled body was covered in warrior like clothing and the monster it's self was at least 8 or 9ft. The gargoyle turned into stone and broke into pieces but, started to regenerate from the stone. "Um, I don't think gargoyles are supposed to regenerate from stone." Tori said as they backed away as the gargoyle was fully whole again, it spoke. "Your reputation precedes you detective cunning as ever in battle. I can't believe I survived that slam but I guess the witches were true to their promise. My name is Kuguvag and I've been given an offer to retrieve your sister then deliver her to the witch Agnes. In return she promised the Gargoyle Community great funds and prosperity, I've also been given regenerative powers. My king shall be pleased because he doesn't know yet of my good deeds." Kuguvag explained. "Gargoyles are protectors amongst themselves they rarely trust other species especially witches. You've been tricked Kuguvag can't you see there will be no riches or prosperity, Your community will be enslaved, your king will be dead. Agnes is a witch probably an elder of some sort. but all the same, evil to their corrupted hearts. You want my sister then you'll have to fight me and once I defeat you, King Barvanox will hear about it from me personally. Junior told Kuguvag who was shocked to hear that Junior knows his King. Kuguvag laughed. "He won't know." Kuguvag grabbed Junior and flew into the sky, Tori threw her dagger stabbing Kuguvag in the side. he didn't feel anything as he continued to fly furiously upwards. "Use my dagger and stab him in the heart I'll use The Watcher's decay." Tori said to her brother telepathically. Junior grabbed the dagger as the gargoyle began to free fall extremely fast. "Do my bidding entity decay Kuguvag the gargoyle." Tori demanded as she watched her brother fight Kuguvag. Kuguvag hammered away at junior who struggled to defend himself, blow the face, then to the ribs which made a loud cracking sound. Junior stabbed Kuguvag in the leg and in an instant it started to decay. Kuguvag let go of Junior and ferociously hit him in the face, Junior's falling pace increased. "Kuguvag held his decaying leg. "He won't survive that fall now I shall go for his sister." Kuguvag said but suddenly Tori's dagger stabbed him in the heart which started to decay quickly. Kuguvag died in an instant and fell from the sky. Junior levitated the rest of the way to the ground and caught the falling dagger as well, once on the ground Junior quickly searched Kuguvag. He found nothing. "Nothing. Kuguvag must have left his weapons and accessories, he made a blood pact with this gargoyle. They're playing dirty. let's go Tori and Àine the authorities will be here soon." The three quickly made their way back through the alley.
