SciFi

"WHAT IN THE WORLD JUST HAPPENED?" Cap screamed out.

"Oh, I just sent you in a sub space from this reality. Kinda like a mirror dimension, but not. How'd you feel?" I ask casually, like what I just did was not a big deal.

"""You did what?????""" came multiple screams from the people around the table.

"I sent him into a subspace from this reality. Weren't you listening?" I joke.

"Wait, so you're telling me that there's multiple realities that you can access. Just like that. How does that work. How many realities are there? Theoretically, to open up and travel to a different dimension would require huge amounts of energy. That kind of energy could level more than half of north America in just a moment. More so, if you teleported the whole of New York." Tony and Banner went of shooting questions back to back like a gatling gun. My demonstration brought out the geek out of both of them. It was kinda getting annoying though.

"Hold your horses. I'll show you my labs and experiments on multidimensional energy travel later. Let's get back to Rogers before I forget again." I say, noticing the wide eyed look in Cap's eyes.

I might have broken him. Too much weird stuff in a few hours.

"Oh, right. Sorry. We'll set up a meet sometime this week." Somehow, Tony calmed down.

"So, yes. I transported everyone in New York to a sub space close by. Sub spaces are like small pockets of air in the vast ocean. Constantly moving about. But. With the right tools and methods, one could hold it down and use it for a limited amount of time, depending on the size and stability of the bubble. Similar to what happened to all New Yorkers, I sent Cap to a nearby sub space. Only difference between him and the rest is that, while Cap could observe our world, the rest are kinda like in a stasis. Time for them stopped while they are in there. So, when I bring them back to this reality, they wouldn't know what happened, but that would be dangerous. So a simple spell to explain to their sleeping minds gently everything that happened to them, and then bring them back. Simple. Right?" I slowly explain so that everyone understands.

"Is it safe? Like moving from one dimension to the other. If fictional knowledge holds even an ounce of truth, wouldn't there be some sort of turbulence between the two locations." Nat asked me.

"That is true. There is quite a bit of turbulence between the two. Going back to the previous analogy of the air bubbles in the ocean. Between the two bubbles, there's not only going to be pure water, but also various salts, sometimes fish and underwater creatures, debris floating around, underwater currents, and much more. So true it is quite dangerous, but again, with the right tools, methods and use of various energies, the travel can be smooth and safe."

"There's creatures floating around out there?" Banner asked, picking up little details from my explanation.

"Oh, yeah. Quite nasty as well. But none come around messing with these bubbles as long as they don't feel threatened." I explain.

Answering a few more questions for the next half an hour, the important question was asked by the silent guy, HawkEye.

"So, when are you going to bring them back. I don't suppose you are going to keep they locked up for long."

"The work outside should be done in about 2 hours, so, probably in 2 hours or so, I guess." I reply.

"What work?"

"Clean up duty. My mother always told me, always clean up after done playing, never leave the mess for someone else. Its bad manners." I say, doing a honest impression of a motherly figure.

"What" confused, Banner and Nat walked up to a nearby window, and looked down at the mess that was New York City.

The image was bewildering.

All the androids that came to help out before in the battle, were now picking up carcasses of the Chitauri and leviathans and loading them up in huge crates.

Once in a while, the crates would just shrink down, and a android would pick something off the ground and move on.

Moving in an organised fashion, the previous warriors now looked more like janitors with huge brooms and cleaning equipment, clearing the roads of debris.

"anyways. While we wait and do nothing. I have a suggestion. Take a walk with me to the medical bay and I'll fix you guys up to full health." I say getting up.

"What is this, an RPG." Asked Tony with an eyeroll.

"Similar, but a whole lot real and effective. Now chop chop. Tony, Nat, Barton and Banner. You three need the most attention. Come on now. Follow Me."

Walking down to the medical bay, the eyes of all my guests went wide.

.

Inside the room, there were about 8 rectangular beds with glass domes, showing various monitors on the glass.

Robotic arms as thin as a finger numbering a dozen were folded up in the side of the bed, with various dials beside it.

All in all, it was a medical pod. Straight out of a Sci Fi movie.

Walking up to one, I called out to Tony, "Lie down in here. You won't feel a thing." I say with a smile.

"You sure its safe. It won't like go all crazy and rip me apart right. How many tests have you done with these? What's the success rate." He fired off questions one after another.

"Don't criticise my expertise. I'll have you know that I can fix you up in a fraction of the time that those specialist doctors take. And there wont be a single mistake from my side." Came the voice of the great sage from the PA system in the MediBay.

"Lucifer, how much do you trust the AI?" Nat asked

"Nat, how much do you trust me?" I replied back with a question.

A look of understanding passed through Nat and Tony's eyes as they walked towards the pods and entered.

Hawkeye looked a bit reluctant at using these, while Banner was worried about being in enclosed spaces.

"Nothing will go wrong. I promise." I say to Banner as both he and Barton climb into their pods and lie down.

As soon as they lie down, the glass dome turns 120 degrees and covers the patients lying inside the pods.

A few seconds later, a soothing voice rings inside the pods, letting the patients know what is happening and whats next.

Slowly, electrode pads connected to snake like wires descend and connect to various parts on their bodies, and IV attaches above their elbows.

A few seconds later, they fall into a deep sleep.

A display on each on the med pod's glass domes shows the various readings of the patient inside, as well as a countdown, indicating the time for them to walk back up to full strength.

The countdown varied, with the lowest indicating 2 hours, with the longest for Tony being, 6.

"Anyone else wants to give it a try." I ask to the remainder of my guests.

Thor just shrugs and moves towards an empty pod while Steve contemplates a bit before moving to one as well.

Similar to what happened before, the patients dozed off, with Cap's countdown showing 2 hours and Thor's 3.

Well seeing as everyone's going to be sleeping, might as well swallow the Mind Stone.
