Trying to Kill Humans

FWIP

When I blinked, I was inside a cave. Behind me, a huge green crystal glowing brilliantly stopped glowing. I blinked.

(What just happened?)

I still had much work to do, don't tell me I already got all the soul points I needed? I patted the crystal.

(Hellooooo? Hello? Why did you bring me out here?)

"Who are you?" Came the voice of a male. He had been staring at me for a while now.

I didn't think he could see me. This person was none other than the lone adventurer from the group I had been watching earlier.

He was the calm and cool sort of handsome person. Like a typical Chinese hero shown in manhwas with good hair wearing an indifferent expression. He'd win the hearts of a dozen woman but gave no fucks because he was too serious and possibly gay.

(Who am I? How rude. Introduce yourself first. How is it that you can see me?) I felt irritable. None of this was making sense.

"I was the one who summoned you. I am Cai Xiao Long."

(You summoned me? That's impossible. I'm not something one can simply summon.) It is not as if I was a special grade beast or something!

"But I did. What can you do about it?" This person was very smug.

My shock subsided into disgust, I glared at him.

(This does not make any sense! Seraphia?! I know you're watching! Are you really going to stand watch and let this happen?)

A screen appeared before me.

{ As a temp worker, you temporarily work for the Archaven Labyrinth making your existence valid to summon. }

(But I am just a spirit! What power do I have?)

{As you are the temporary haven, you have the ability to oversee the routes in the dungeons as well as the materials and the resources, you can function as a guide}

(Oh? Is that why you summoned me?) I faced that person now. (You were looking for a cheat to find good loot? What happened to the group you were in? Did you get robbed?)

That person just stared at me.

"Who are you talking to?"

One of the things I hate the most is when someone responds to all my questions with a question of their own.

(Someone.) My eye twitched.

I ignored him and went back to talk with Seraphia. (Anyway, I get the situation now, but am I even allowed to help him?)

{There is another crystal pillar on the 300th floor above here, you can return using that. I will make sure something like this will never happen again so just do as he asks.}

Was it just me or did Seraphia seem flustered? I tried imagining the screen on my desk and sure enough, the bejeweled feather stylus appeared in my hand instead. I stroked it through the air and a map appeared.

(I understand. You are trying to get to the 300th floor?) The sooner I cooperated, the faster I could return.

"I am trying to find the crystal rose treasure grade."

My face wrinkled at him.

(The what?)

"The crystal rose treasure grade."

(Damnsillyasssoundingcultivatoritemstheheckisthat?) I inhaled as I pulled out my guidebook and scrolled down. There were many different types of treasure grade. The crystal type of treasure grade was a very expensive type of treasure.

(What do you need the crystal treasure grade for?) I asked him.

Cai's face became dark.

"To save someone."

(A girl huh? How cliche.)

"It is my Grandfather!" Cai corrected me.

(Alright, my bad, my bad, don't get your panties in a twist. Let's see... crystal treasure grade.) I used my stylus to tap on my map.

(There were some on the previous floors you passed, you know? There aren't really many up- oh! The 300th floor! There seems to be a lot on the 300th floor.) I say.

"I do not have that amount of time. . ."

(Time flows very quickly in the labyrinth compared to outside you know, when you exit this place, probably only a few seconds or minutes will have passed.)

"Really?" Cai looked hopeful.

(You did not know?)

"No, this is my first time adventuring."

Then how the hell did he manage to get in on the 100,000 lvl? Maybe he came with someone who had already cleared the dungeon, what the hell? That does not seem fair. Another law needs to be passed to fix these broken systems!

As I led Cai through the dungeon I felt somewhat conflicted. What if we came across monsters? How can I guide him? I'm not even helping him...

Meanwhile, Cai kept glancing at me.

"Um, spirit girl?"

(What?)

"What should I call you?"

(You and I aren't close so just keep calling me spirit girl.)

"Earlier you seemed to know about me, have you been watching me?"

I twitched. It's not like I meant too so why do I feel like a stalker?

(Don't be so conceited! I saw you a couple of times while I was wandering through the dungeon.) It was a half-lie. Since I was never in the dungeon but simply observing from another space.

"You are putting up so many walls around yourself..." He muttered.

That unnerved me a bit. Was he trying to read me? All he needed was to find this treasure what was the use in getting to know me?

He made no sense. Just focus on your objective without paying much mind to anything else as a stereotypical manhwa protagonist would!

Let's go with this. (You and your kind are my enemies, and so rude as to summon me while I was doing something else, of course, I do not want to get close to you. Once we find that treasure grade we will part ways. . .) I glanced at him. (But seriously though, did you get robbed?)

"I did not get robbed."

(Those items don't seem to be on you.)

"You can see my inventory?"

Did I just out myself? I licked my lips and sighed.

"Yes. . ."

"I see. I gave my items away to resolve conflict. Those who were with me had their own goals too so they left."

(So what? You do all the work for them and they couldn't stay behind to accompany you?)

Cai gazed at me in surprise.

"I thought you hated humans."

(I-I do not completely hate humans, right now they are just my enemy. Alright? Ugh. You're so annoying.) I speed floated ahead down the hall.

Our journey was like that, me floating around and watching him slay monsters.

I cheered for the monsters in almost every fight he fought. Each time he would just glare at me when it was over but I paid him no mind.

[You have earned the title 'Monster's Cheerleader' !]

(Ehhhhh?!)

Cai glanced at me as I screamed. We had set up camp for him to rest.

"What is it? So noisy. . ." He grumbled.

Something RPG like?! I can do that? I actually got a skill, I tapped on it with my stylus. The screen showed an animated chibi gif of me cheering next to chibi monsters, ah, so cute I could die! Wait, I squinted at my dancing chibi. That's right I am naked in my spirit form huh? I had been so immersed in management I didn't realize. Well, my hair is long enough to cover my boobs and butt, so it's whatever. I'm also still kind of transparent. So it's fine.

[Title: Monster's Cheerleader

Description: There is nothing more motivating than a pretty naked woman cheering for you with all her heart.

Cheering for the monsters gives them a full stat boost of 100%! ]

100% Isn't that quite high? Usually, you're given small titles that eventually build on each other. Oh, there was more.

[Observing parties get a speed stat boost of 25% just from watching. A naked woman cheering for someone else, eeeh, how vexing. ]

What the? No wonder Cai was able to take them down, he was already quite strong but he got a 25% stat boost? How annoying yet also intriguing.

Somehow it became somewhat of a secret goal of mine of trying to get Cai killed. I chose routes for him with a lot of strong monsters and traps but he always managed to pull through them.

". . ." Cai glanced at me. "You. . .are seriously trying to kill me." He muttered.

He had just gotten out of a fight where he was beaten within an inch of his life before the monster died.

He must've heard me cluck my tongue earlier.

(Huh?) I feigned ignorance.

"Isn't there another way to get to the 100,300th level?" His gaze sharpened.

I blinked at him. If I denied it he'd know I'm lying either way.
